I've been to this Walmart over a hundred times and realized I've never written a review about it! Overall, my experience has been positive. It's really convenient to have a Walmart close to my home, making it easy to pop in whenever I need something. Plus, who doesn't love Walmart for its affordable prices? The staff members are generally helpful and provide great customer service. My kids love coming along because they always want to check out the latest releases in the toy department. One of the nice features is that they have services like FedEx, a haircut spot, and a pretzel shop inside. I remember when there used to be a McDonald's there, and I'm not sure why it was removed--perhaps it was the end of their contract. I really hope Walmart can strike a deal to bring McDonald's back because it was great to grab breakfast there while shopping. In summary, I appreciate the affordability and the good customer service at this Walmart. The overall environment is pleasant, so I'd say my experience has been very positive! read more

Best time to go here is late at night or early in the morning. I get exactly what I need and run out. They normally have everything that I need a little more. I've only been inside this Walmart a few times. It sure is a super center. It is very spacious, and it does have everything anyone can want. Luckily for me, I don't have to get in my car and come inside Walmart to get what I want, I've had Walmart + for almost 5 years, and I LOVE Walmart +. This IS my store, and with a fee of less than $100 a year, I get unlimited deliveries right to my door, unlimited free shipping, curbside pickup, and more perks. I have my Walmart + app, and whenever I need anything, I either have it shipped or add this item to my cart. I love all the times i get to choose from and express times for my deliveries. I love Walmart + customer service, I've never encountered better customer service with any other company. When there is an error or mistake, they fix it, no questions asked. I put an order on my app for a cake for my little girl the other day. She is turning 11 tomorrow! I chose a date and time I wanted to pick it up, and I went. It is adorable! This review is specifically for the grocery curbside pick up and the staff. First of all, as horrific as COVID pandemic was. Some of the new ways how we consumers buy is through curbside. I went to get a hunting license duplicate and had to wait several minutes for someone to attend the sporting goods counter. The guy who came back finally was a nice enough guy, but had expired login credentials for the California DFW system, so we waited for a manager to come help. And we waited, and we waited. No one came. Finally a guy from automotive came over and gave my guy advice and left. Young guy I was working with got his login credentials squared away, but had trouble navigating the system. When we finally got to the point where the printer was supposed to print my license duplicate, it failed to print. We tried a reprint and that failed too. The guy helping me did his best, and I'd happily give him a better rating than the store, but don't come here for your DFW licensing. Especially on a holiday when the DFW is closed and can't cancel the transaction from their end. The store doesn't give a damn about these sales because they don't make any money on it, and they probably don't even care about a bad review for it either. read more

My wife has pre ordered groceries for delivery. For several orders everything worked out great. So great she paid for the Plus for free delivery. She made an order tonight. It was supposed to be delivered between 5-7 pm. She gets a call around 6:30 asked when we were going to pick it up? Then at 7:00 she got a call telling her the order couldn't be delivered tonight. I have been standing to have the liquor cabinet opened for about 15 mins. This happens every time. I really should just drive the extra couple miles to target. I will try to remember this experience next time I am tempted to come here especially when buying alcohol here. Alcohol also significantly cheaper here. This is my main complaint. It is a bit crowded at times. I also was a sad there is no more McDonald's here and it is no longer 24hours (even before covid). Countless employees walked past and saw i was waiting. My wife took our van to have two tires put on that I ordered on line. When she arrived, the woman helping her Rosana told her the independent vendor we ordered them from sent the wrong size. I received a call from Rosana and she was able to find the correct size tire and credited us back for the tires we purchased and have the correct tires put on in a short time! Delivery service is horrible. Made two orders over 200 each in less than a week's time and never got them! My cameras prove no one came either and the picture they show of items left at my door is a black screen. They need to hold these people accountable! I think the delivery people think it's better to steel your order rather than deliver if they can make more money from that than what they do hourly. So i've been hearing about the grocery pickup service offered through walmart and it intrigued me for sure. My thinking was hmm what a good way to NOT overspend and an easy way to stick to what's on your list!! I am guilty as many are for going into a store with list in hand and coming out with sooo much more stuff I really didn't need Lol. The app is super easy if you are already registered on walmart.com that transfers to the walmart grocery app. Ordering is easy and after picking the way you want to pay, day and time of pick up etc. your all done. When your order is ready they email you and give you instructions on checking in on the app when ur on your way. When you get there follow the orange arrows for pick up back on the area closest to old navy. Pick your spot and check it in the app and they bring your stuff out to your car. There were a lot of people that just sat in their cars while the staff bagged their groceries and loaded their car. I didn't feel right doing that for some reason lol so i got out and helped (but i'm a bit picky on how i load my trunk) but i totally didn't mind helping the guy was super nice and everything was cold even the hawaiian punch and sprite i bought!! that's a definite plus. The one thing that i didn't like is 4 things.. actually the most important things on my list were out of stock!! So i ended up having to stop by winco for those ugh.. The advice i'd give is to email more in advance instead of 15 min before i'm supposed to pick up that certain items were out of stock. I'm pretty sure their system is capable of keeping track of orders placed the day before and the stock on hand. I came into walmart today for some Rainx wiper blades. And before coming in the store, I saw the affordable price I saw in the app. But when I came in the store, the price were not the same. So I came asking around some associates if they can price match and some said no and some said to ask the cashiers. I went ahead and asked and none of them seem to know. Then I went to the electronics department and this wonderful lady Deleta was able to answer my question and said that they can price match but they have to follow a certain protocol. After following the protocol, she informed me that the items I had are eligible for price match. What a relief!!! Thank you for the amazing service Deleta! All workers should be as well informed as Deleta cause if she wasn't there then I would've thought that walmart can't price match at all. read more

Recently my husband and I went to Walmart to pickup a few things. When we were checking out a very nice man greeted us, I can't remember his name unfortunately. When we arrived home to unload groceries we were missing a bag. We hurried back to the store to see if we could locate it. No luck it was gone ! We spoke to the gentleman that we were speaking to as we checked out and explained to him what had happened. He was so kind and reassured us everything would be okay and that if we went to customer service they could help. He even offered to come help us if need be. Was told by manager at 115p that car was still waiting and would be another 1.5 hours. Called 1-800-Walmart to complain. I placed an $300+ online order for delivery on 8/14 that was delayed a day and a half then subsequently cancelled. I placed a second order in the same amount on 8/18. That order was also delayed. I went to the store to pick it up at my designated time. When I was in the spot I was contacted by the store, and told my order had been picked up by a delivery driver and stolen. I was confused because it was clearly a pick up order. The girl on the phone had such an attitude. I asked her what her name was and she hung up on me. I had to contact the 800 number and get a refund. Both orders will take 10 business days for the refund over $700 in total. Do not shop at this store online or otherwise... unless you want to be robbed. read more

This is my favorite Walmart. I was surprised to see how bad the reviews are. I was here later in the evening, so some shelves could definitely have been stocked and organized. "Super Center" my butt. Liars! I'm so angry. I pay to be aggravated? Not all of their crappy experience is the store's fault of course. But it's enough so decent people like you and me just won't go here anymore. I went in at 815pm and went right to Returns to get a core charge refund. Oh what's this? They decided suddenly to close it at 8pm now instead of 10pm as they did just a week ago?? Excuse me for being a little bugged. I head to the home goods side on the right side of the store. The temperature is boiling hot and I'm drenched. I find what I need and go to the self checkout. Ahhh...it's 9pm ish and it's effing closed. No prob gee there's two regular registers open. While I'm in line a dude wheels his full cart in front of me. Oh I see....his classy ole lady was saving the spot. They don't make eye contact with me, smile or ask if I mind, which is what I would've done. I would've loved to have a choice of seeing what's ahead of me before I got in line. Oh wait there's more. Multitudes of cacophonic booming car bass accompanied my walk to the entrance of the store and I was treated to the continued war bomb sounds. That are so loud you can hear it through thick walls while you're inside too. Sure, that's not Wal-Mart's fault. But at least I can forewarn people here to skip this store. The truth is that, especially on weekend nights, the customers are 90% low class, rude, trashy people. Doesn't matter how nice their clothes, hair or cars are. And I thought Gosford was a "nice" part of Bakersfield. Nope. Hey neighbors, so not surprisingly, Walmart on Gosford is out of bags today. Unfortunately I did not find out until I went to check out after shopping for an hour and a half with a cart full of groceries. I went to locate some tote bags to purchase and they didn't have any of those either. Upon searching, I ran into the Lead "Catalina" along with another manager standing around near the frozen area. I voiced my concerns at the fact that customers should be notified upon walking in and also, they should announce it on the speaker every 10 to 15 minutes. Luckily I am able bodied but what if I was an 80 year old woman or a young mom with an infant in the cart and had to hand load each individual item into the cart. Needless to say, Catalina could give 2 sh*ts. I was there another 20 minutes after hand loading each item into my cart and not once was there any type of announcement or concern. Unfortunately when this happens, it is the cashiers that have to deal with the wrath of customers. I asked the cashier if they have ever voiced this concern to the leads/managers and she said yes but nothing is ever done about it. It's just sad that due to this economy more people are forced to shop at Walmart and they can care less about their customers. I personally called the ethics hotline and I am calling corporate as well. If you are sick and tired of the incompetence and inconsideration at this store, I suggest you call also. This Walmart is your typical neighborhood Walmart. If I had to do a vote on my favorite Walmart in town then it would definitely be this location. Some days are better than others and on average I usually have a positive experience here. The staff are pretty good, but you'll have your occasional workers who look like they rather be somewhere else. The location is very convenient for me and Walmart has everything you need... They even have an area to service your car for oil change in the back. read more
