We probably visit Cold Stone Creamery at least once a year these days, when my boys were little we visited often. Not a lot has changed over the past 10yrs or longer at this place. The inside still looks the same as it has looked for all these years. On my recent visit, I did notice the one change the I remember which is singing. Back in the day, I remember walking in and all the employees would be rocking out and singing a cappella versus now they have the music playing overhead. Ice cream quality is still great. This is the closest ice cream shop near me. I always come with my baby sister, it's our go to for a sweet treat. I never had a bad experience here. I think their smoothies and milkshakes are the best. My sister got the mint mint chocolate chocolate chip milkshake with whip cream and I got their strawberry banana smoothie. I dont know why, but I wanted to try Coldstone out. There was a line when we got there and with only 2 people working, it took a while for us to get our ice cream. Staff wasn't friendly, but they weren't rude. They were non-stop busy, so of course they're not going to be chatting it up with each other or us customers. My husband and I got a scoop of coffee lovers only, and it was just alright. We both love coffee, so we thought we'd try theirs, but Dewars coffee and Sweet Fix Creamerys coffee is far better. I had a taste of my daughters ice creams, and personally, it was alright as well. The waffle cones didn't make the ice cream any better either. What I ordered vs what I received. I went to The Marketplace location thinking they would do a good job. It's just a an ice cream, it's not that serious, but the store looks run down. There were no other customers when I walked in and they had three employees working. It was messy on the floor with napkins on the ground and the work area where the staff (three young teens) prepare the items looked very unkempt and not clean. Many years ago we had a Cold Stone in Tehachapi and we would go maybe once a month. I am not an ice cream person but enjoyed the fun creations. Unfortunately, our location closed down and we haven't been to one since. We happened to sit in front of this Cold Stone while waiting for our sandwiches next door. I saw a sign up that said lucky Charms ice cream, okay that's all I needed to see! I went in and didn't even need to look around. Ordered the special Lucky Charms ice cream they add marshmallow fluff and the little marshmallows that come in the cereal. I ordered extra they are my favorite. They mix that together and then add gold flakes on top. I had them put it in a waffle bowl with sprinkles. This was beyond delicious, three of us shared it and it was perfect. I don't think this will be a regular flavor so I would get in there and try it if you love Lucky Charms. read more

The girl working behind the counter was sweet and worked with my kiddos constant indecisiveness haha. The attendant was quick and efficient and the shop and restroom were both kept clean. The ice cream is so creamy and delicious. The toppings are plentiful. The cones are fresh and crunchy. We enjoyed our trip and are already looking forward to our next trip! This Cold Stone location has been pretty great. I have probably been here 3 times this month. They tend to busy in the evenings, regardless if it is a Friday night or not. I never feel rushed and the employees have always been friendly. Also, they answer all my questions about the sizes and if I can use the coupons I bring in to the store. My favorite is the banana caramel crunch with the base being banana instead of sweet cream. I got my mom and brother hooked on that flavor as well. This is our favorite ice cream store to go to. We all bundled up and took off to get our ice cream fix. The kids picked Oreo cream and pink lemonade and bubble gum ice cream. There are so many flavors and mix ins and everyone can get their favorite. We went with our usual chocolate with mix ins in a waffle bowl. After walking in, I was not greeted by any of the 4 girls that were working. They all had very nasty looks on their faces and I was looked at multiple times not saying a word. Incredibly rude. One of my students gave me a gift card to Coldstone Creamery for Christmas. IMHO this is an awesome idea for a teacher gift. Most of us adore ice cream, and those who are watching their figure probably have children that would love to take advantage of the card. They have a unique concept when it comes to ice cream flavors here. They start with twenty flavors of ice cream. There are eight large containers of hugely popular flavors like chocolate, vanilla, coffee, etc. and twelve smaller containers of more exotic flavors such as blueberry muffin, pumpkin, and dark chocolate peppermint. If this seems a little overwhelming, they offer you free tasting spoonfuls of any flavor you'd like to try. You choose a flavor of ice cream as your base then choose from a large variety of mix-ins, toppings that they put on a frozen piece of granite and actually fold and mix into the ice cream itself, creating a totally new flavor. Most other stores offer you ice cream and put toppings on top, leaving you with some bites of ice cream with a lot of topping and some bites with none. Coldstone's mix-ins make the topping seem more a part of the flavor itself than as an add-on. The ice cream comes in three sizes "Like It", "Love It", and "Gotta Have It". I walked into this place in a good mood and left feeling annoyed. I knew something was off when I saw the dirty and smudgey ice cream case like it hadn't been wiped in weeks. Customer service was other than friendly. I asked a question about the cones and sizes and the grinch behind the counter looked annoyed like it was such an inconvenience to have a customer and a customer with questions at that. The last thing I saw before paying was the dirty and dusty credit card machine. Two stars cuz at least my kid enjoyed the ice cream scooped with hate.
