Visited BBS for THE BOX (it's a cake sample box with a bunch of different cake flavors). It's not somthing that is always available and I had to preorder. I was so excited because I'd been following them on Instagram for a while and had seen the box before but hadn't had a chance to try it. I think it mid-October when I saw a post stating that they were available for a limited time and would not be available again until January. I immediately placed an order with the hope of freezing it and saving it for November during my husband's birthday. Well, I'm happy to report it froze beautifully and we were able to try out all the different cake flavors when we celebrated my husband's birthday in mid-November. I paid $35, which was a little much IMO, but I would definitely recommend THE BOX.
I found this bakery on Yelp (thanks Yelp!) and looked through their website for their offerings for a wedding cake for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. Their website is super informative and they have a lot of photos of their designs made in the past. It was a pretty easy choice to get our cake from this bakery. Ordering can be done online but we choose to go into the bakery to ask questions etc. The person who helped us was super helpful answered all our questions and provided all the assurance we needed. We choose a 12" vanilla and strawberries cake with a custom design my mom picked from their instagram photos. They modified some of the colors for us to make it just how we wanted. We placed the order, paid for it and done until pick up date! On the day of pick up, everything was super easy. We let the cake sit out for the recommended time and displayed it during the reception. The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing! Super moist cake with wonderful tasting filling. I can't complement the chefs enough. Wonderful job!
Baked Bake Shop is an absolute hidden GEM! I was in a bind, needing a cake last-minute (just two days before), and they came through in the most spectacular way. They crafted a decadent chocolate cake with peanut butter icing for my friend, and it was beyond perfection--moist, rich, and bursting with flavor. Not only did it taste incredible, but it was also beautifully decorated! It was such a hit that everyone at the party kept asking, "Where did you get this cake?!" I also tried their strawberry crunch tres leches, and my friend indulged in one of their cheesecakes--both were out-of-this-world delicious. From their friendly service to their top-tier baked goods, Baked Bake Shop has earned a lifelong customer in me. I'll be recommending them to everyone I know and using them for all my future events. If you haven't discovered this bakery yet, do yourself a favor and go ASAP--you won't regret it!
The cakes here are delicious. I always get the strawberry short cake tres leches but today I got my daughter a vanilla confetti cake. It was moist and light to the taste. This is a great place to order cakes from. Will I recommend? Yes Ratings? 5/5 Price point? good
Cross country coordination! I live in Boston and I wanted to throw my family a gender reveal while I was visiting them (I already knew the gender). My sister recommended Baked Bake Shop. I emailed and they got back to me quick! I sent inspo pics and flavor ideas. I wanted an all white cake, tres leches with PINK inside. They got it right. I was so easy to pay online with the link provided on the email and pick up was just as easy. Cake was beautiful and delicious! They got it right and made it was a pleasant process. 10/10 recommend!!!
I will never order a cake or cupcakes from a grocery store again lol!! We came in to place a custom order about a week prior for some Birthday/Mother's Day cupcakes, and everything just went so perfectly. The inside is cute, just a couple glass display cases, which they do keep stocked up and a big ol kitchen in the back. The gentleman who took our order was real nice! Made our first time experience even more pleasant with his awesome vibes! We ended up ordering a dozen cupcakes in 3 flavors. Red velvet. Oreo. And S'mores. 4 of each. Plus we picked up a brownie and pecan bar from their display cases. Huge fat brownies too! Lol So the pecan bar was out of this world delicious!! The crust part is so moist, crumbly and buttery!! The filling is portioned out perfectly (not to much and not to little) and the flavors were just amazing! Loved loved loved it! Plus he tossed in an extra one for free! Nice. My hubby ate the brownie and absolutely loved it as well!! He said it was moist with that perfect brownie chew texture! And had a delightful flavor. Fast forward a week, and it's pick up day! No problem's picking up at all, and man oh man, presentation was spot on!!! I felt a bit like I was being gifted when I saw them! They were decorated so beautifully!!! Almost to pretty to eat!! But we gonna eat em still lol. The S'mores one has chocolate frosting with a little marshmallow flavored type cream on top that looks like it was torched with fire to give it the "toasted marshmallow effect" (or it might just be some creative special effects lol but it looks real and tastes just like toasted marshmallow! Check out the pics I added) and the other half is chocolate frosting with ghram cracker crumbles on top! The red velvet has an elegant look lol, It's a simple and classic design, and it's rich and velvety and smooth tasting. And the Oreo one has Oreo crumbs in the batter as well as in the frosting, plus half of the cupcake is covered in Oreo cookie crumbles! We taste tested each of them so far, and ALL of them are super moist, fluffy, and soooo soft!! Great flavors all around!! and there so rich too!!! I love sweetness, so it's not too sweet for me at all! Man, we are just blown away by everything! Lol. You can tell these small businesses owners at Baked Bake Shop take pride and passion in their work and creations!! Lots of love were put into making these!! You can just taste the love in every bite!! Prices are VERY reasonable too! They have em listed on their website! Thank you so much Baked Bake Shop! You are the cherry on top of the cake to our little Mother's Day/Birthday celebration! Until next time!
We ordered our baby reveal cake from here and it was a delicious red velvet perfectly decorated. We then continued and ordered a carrot cake for our baby shower and it was THE BEST carrot cake I've ever had
What a wonderful place to buy special treats. My husband got his Masters degree so I wanted to custom cake with little notice as I was going out of town. This bakery may be out of the way, but it is full of delicious treats and the cake was wonderful. As opposed to the homophobic place on Rosedale Highway, this bakery has family and we're very happy to serve me. I highly recommend it.
We have used Baked Bake Shop for a few birthday cakes now and have loved them so much!! The cakes have always been perfectly moist and absolutely tasty! They have a great variety of flavors to choose from and they also tend to have whole cakes in the case for an emergency! Whatever flavor you get, it will be delicious! Every time I go in to order cake, I walk out with other treats too! From cupcakes to tres leches cake slices, to banana pudding... you can't go wrong! So much to try and at such reasonable prices too! They even carry a TON of candles in different sizes and colors. Even sparkler candles! They have confetti canons too! Love the convenience! The service has always been awesome and they've always worked with whatever theme I've had in mind. I am a customer for ever and would recommend them to anyone! Check out their website for available flavors and follow them on Instagram for holiday treats and preorders. You don't want to miss out! They always have something fun up their sleeve! *I cannot be held responsible if you happen to gain weight after religiously visiting Baked X amount of times. :)
I was having a conversation about cookies with a coworker when she mentioned this place is her favorite for snickerdoodles. I'd always thought this place was a cannabis infused bakery due to the name but she informed me that I was very wrong lol. So the next time I went to the tattoo shop next door, I headed right on in to Baked Bake Shop and got myself that snickerdoodle cookie! It was absolutely amazing and I was mad at myself for only buying one. read more

Communication lags on their part. I made many phone calls and finally got through. Emails are the best form of communication. I never received confirmation of my order till I had to call in and ask if they were going to handle my order. Then I was told the owner would get back to me by days end. Email came that afternoon to confirm and ask for payment. They did a wonderful job on what was requested. The cake was extremely tasteful. The cupcakes were moist, not dry at all. The store itself is clean and I was helped as soon as I walked in. read more
Great little place in a strip mall near the auto mall. They took an order on a Tuesday for a pickup on Wednesday without a flinch or a rush charge. Super good cake and the price was reasonable. Everyone at the party raved about how good it tasted. A bit too sweet frosting for my taste, but that's just me. They only have a single person at the counter and if you get behind somebody who is placing a unique order for their special occasion, you will be waiting a long time. read more

This place has some of the best cakes! The staff are so friendly and they were so helpful when helping me order my custom cake. The prices are reasonable and you can rest assured knowing you are going to get a delicious cake that looks beautiful! The white cake is light and fluffy, this is my husband's favorite cake and he is a cake snob. The tres leches are amazing too! Honestly, I've never gotten something here that I didn't like. read more

I first saw this Bakery on Instagram and one of my really good friend kept telling me about this delicious caramel apple and treats. The one thing she kept raving about was the tres leches cake. She told me that it was one of the best tres leches cake she has ever had, so I knew I had to try it out. I ordered my cake here for my 21st wedding anniversary last month. I ordered an 8" tres leches cake with strawberry filling and it was so delicious. The cake was definitely one of the best tres leches cake I've eaten. I would definitely recommend and re-order the tres leches cake. While waiting on our cake to be completed, it was a bit delayed which was definitely worth it. We had an opportunity to chit chat with one of the owners. He was very friendly and definitely made us feel at home. I love their small business adventures and how COVID19 has not affected their opening. I love supporting businesses like this because local businesses is what makes our community what it is. This bakery helped make my 21st wedding anniversary memorable. I have not tried too many of their baked goods, but I plan to definitely come back to try more. I have a sweet tooth, so I'm looking forward to more goodies. If you have not stopped by this little cute bakery, then you're definitely missing out. The facility is nice and clean and they are definitely following COVID19 guidelines. Masks are required when visiting and I did see them wiping down occasionally. read more

I was looking for a cake for my best friend's first baby's gender reveal. I read lot's of reviews and every single one was raving about how delicious everything was. The owners/bakers were extremely easy to work with, very friendly, and responsive in communicating. They brought my vision to life- it was even better than the inspo picture I had originally provided. Their shop is cute and clean. They even have some candle options and cupcakes, slices of cakes, whole cakes, cookies, brownies, etc all in the case available for grab and go. The cake I ordered needed to feed 15 to 20 and was relatively inexpensive considering I had looked around and other places wanted double. I opted for a funfetti or confetti cake and it did not disappoint! The cake was ready as promised, boxed beautifully, it was moist and fluffy and just the perfect amount of sweet. Some of the guests even went back for 2nds! I am SO happy I ran across Baked Bake Shop and will definitely choose them each and every time going forward for any of my cake needs. I look forward to also trying their other bakery items soon! read more

Last January, I had the pleasure of stepping through the doors at Baked Bake Shop. Been wanting to try them for awhile because I do love my sweets!! When I hear that there is a new bakery in town, I always get excited. I was greeted right away by the nice staff member. He told me about all their choices, and there were plenty of beautiful creations to choose from! Their display cases looked lovely with all the yummy looking desserts. I literally wanted at least one of everything, but both my pocketbook and metabolism would not allow it to be. I chose three desserts to eat later that day. I do not remember the exact names of them all, but they were all really good! One of the items I tried was a Tres Leches cake. It did not disappoint. It was just wet enough for my preference. Many places I go, their version would be too soggy for my liking. Baked Bake Shop did their version really good. Tasted delish! (4.5 stars) Second item I tried was one of their cheesecakes. I believe it was the Toffee Cheesecake. Definitely one of the better cheesecakes that I've tried in Bakersfield. (4 stars) Third item I tried was some sort of Pecan Bar. Whatever it was called, that thing was excellent!! Both my wife and I loved it!! (5 stars) Baked Bake Shop is better than Good so they deserve more than 4 stars on Yelp. So if you are looking for a 5 star bakery destination in Bakersfield, head on over to Baked Bake Shop. I doubt that you will be disappointed. read more

Me and my husband stopped by cause we are trying to find a good bakery with yummy treats. We got a chocolate chip cookie it was the last 1 and 1 banana pudding it is sooo yummy. I can't wait to stop by again to try a cupcake or slice of cake. It wasn't a lot a selection at 1pm. So I will try to get in early so I can choose a few. The attendant was nice gave us a free Oreo krisp read more

I was excited to try the new bakery in town! First off. Those THICC brownies are so rich and fudgy. It's a good thing I live clear across town because it was delicious. Like I can have a whole sheet delicious. Probably the highlight of my trip there. I also got their tres leches cake with rum, oreo rice krispie, guava cheesecake, and a cupcake. I've never had the oreo rice krispie before and it was interesting in a good way. Their cheesecake was light with an almost whipped texture. I prefer the denser NY cheesecake, but this was also good. I enjoyed the guava topping! I will definitely be back. I wish they had more selection though and their hours are kind of limited (wed-sat 10-7). I do hope their selection continues to expand as their business grows! For two people running a bakery (until recently) I think they're doing a great job. I will be back cuz them THICC brownies are calling my name. Oh and cuz I have no idea what a Mexican wedding cookie is, but you best believe I'll know soon enough. Lol. read more
