Eric was fantastic. I finally had gotten my act together. I knew I'd be driving past a 5.11 and I put the boots that I'd ordered months before into the car. They'd fit strange, too tight around the ankle, too loose around the widest part of my foot. I'd fiddled and adjusted and just wasn't happy so I brought in a pair of boots that I'd bought months before and asked for a refund. There was no drama, no issue, no problem. 10 minutes later I had a new pair of shorts and $40 or $50 refunded to my credit card and I was back in the car. High quality gear...isn't cheap.. friendly, polite sales associates. If the prices were reasonably lower i would shop there all the time.

So I was lucky enough to go to the grand opening of the Bakersfield location. Which was pretty cool they were giving stuff away and had some sales going on. I bought a few items and ordered something they didn't have. I've been using 5.11 gear now since 2012 for work and just causal gear and I love the quality and the durability of this product. I'm happy and glad I don't have to go all the way to Fresno or order it online anymore. If you haven't been down to check this place out you should. read more

Hello Everyone, I am writing in relation to my interaction today with online customer service agent Trisha Werre and Bakersfield CA 5.11 tactical store manager Victor Grande. I called today as I was trying to source a patch that was out of stock online and at all stores near our location and was desperate to get this for our dearest family member as it is of utmost sentimental value in this particular situation. I spoke with Trisha who was so pleasurable to speak with and went over and beyond to contact the Bakersfield store in an attempt to get the particular patch in question to me some how. She then came back on the phone and told me that upon speaking with the store manager of that particular branch that they had come up with a way to get it to me and had gone over and beyond by offering to pay for the patch and send it out to me! I was absolutely astounded by this level of customer service and it has reminded me that even in a time when everyone is not being so considerate, that there are special individuals that still hold impeccable values and set true examples for the rest of us! I am lost for words and can not thank both Trisha and Victor enough for their thoughtfulness! This is the level of value and customer service that any business anywhere should be providing their customers and it should not go unnoticed! While I do like the products and the store employees are friendly and helpful, 5.11 does NOT offer any type of warranty on any of their gear, equipment or clothing anymore. If it breaks or is defective, too bad for you. read more

Recently few weeks went to buy a good pair of boots cokes to find out I wear the boots more then my shoes and happy to have decided to check out the store it's wonderful I just keep coming back every chance I get for more stuff and the staff is very helpful and friendly I definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for great service read more

This 5.11 store is awesome! I've been wearing 5.11 clothing for work for many years, and the quality is unmatched. Furthermore, the staff at this store are wonderful. I've shopped at this store many times, and every time I'm in here, the staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and patient while I'm shopping. Happen to be up in Bakersfield for the day, and decided to stop by the 5.11 store. I called them first to confirm that they had store location, exclusive patches in stock. Val (I believe) confirmed that they did have plenty of store patches in stock, but because their systems were down, the store was closed. After she probed a little, she discovered that I was only up there for a few hours today, and not from the area. she was kind enough to offer the exclusive patch that she carries on her own backpack to give to me, since she had no means of ringing up a patch for me. When I arrived at the store, everything was closed up, but she was at the door waiting. I ended up trading her an infrared US flag patch for the patch that she was willing to give me off of her own backpack. This kind of customer service goes a long way and I'm super appreciative that 511 has employees like her working for them on the front lines. read more

I went into 5.11 this past Saturday and I'm so glad that I did. I've heard of 5.11 before but this was my first time actually being in a store. I was greeted by a young lady named Aly? I'm not too positive of her name and another person named Julio. They were very personable and helped me find the perfect pair of pants. I do wish the women's section was a little bigger than what it is. Aly went above and beyond to help find me a pair of boots that would be best for me. I went in to your store today February 23 2020 to purchase a tactical backpack. I picked out the Dart 24 for $119.00. I happened to notice that the same pack listed on your website for $79.49 and asked the clerk if she would match the price. She told me no sorry I can't do that without any further explanation. So I went straight home and placed an order for one on your website saving the $39 and change. No wonder brick and mortar is dying out because of the internet....very sad that you would lose the sale over your own website read more

I've not been a long time customer of 5.11 and this isn't a review of their clothing. The clothing seems really well made, functional, and comfortable. I'll be buying some things from them. The review is mostly about this location. I was recently at 5.11 locations in Texas that had a good selection of their products and people who knew about them. I really wish I had bought things there when I was there. This location has limited product, especially when it comes to shirts. The people who were working the day I was here didn't know much about the various lines and would refer me to the website or would go there. I could do that on my own. I was able to try a few products out to get an idea of sizes and colors. I was between sizes in a few things. I am going to end up ordering most everything from the website and hope it fits. If not, I'll end up playing the returning things by mail to get the right size game. So I say, why have a store if you're not going to have examples of your product lines and people that don't know much about them? I'd be a little more understanding of not having a particular size a color. Now, I'll go online to order my stuff. read more
