Had to come all the way here for my photo pick up thinking this was on Buena Vista and Ming. White Lane was just a mile down. Man, at 6pm it was soo busy. The line was to the photo section. This pharmacy has the worst customer service. I chose them because of location but it's such a circus to get your meds. They take lunch break at different times of the day and today I waited in line for 15 mins just to get to the window and them tell me they are closed and have "already signed off their system" as they shut the window in front of me. Been coming here for years- my doctor refilled a prescription for a years worth back in September (normal process for this medication) called to refill yesterday and was told I ran out of refills and had to call doctor back for a new refill since they only prescribed me 3 refills. The Pharmacy here always seems overwhelmed and they take forever to get your prescriptions. The drive thru takes forever and it's not even worth using it. To add, Stockdale High School parents use the parking lot as a drop off and pick up for their kids, so there is no where to park. Additionally, the carwash employees park their cars near the Redbox taking up all the spaces on that end of the parking lot. read more

This is a pretty decent drug store with a wide selection of health and household products. This includes alcohol and food. And a full aisle of pet goodies. Now and then there is a clearance rack (not today) but some good finds on these shelves are not unusual. I needed to find a couple of toys for some friends' kids for X-mas and was not let down by what I was looking for. Barbies, cars, Legos and Star Wars were on the list. The prices were acceptable and about what I expected to pay. The seasonal aisles of X-mas are packed in full force with STUFF and the Holiday tunes are on lulling one into shopping oblivion surrounded by 1 million boxes of chocolates! The managers will usually acknowledge you here to see if you are making out ok with what you are seeking and the cashiers are fast and friendly. Always lots of parking and we find the location quite convenient. Drug stores are really not a bad place to X-mas shop! Forget the crowded Mall! read more

This is my preferred pharmacy even though it's not the closest one to my home. They are very efficient and always help me rather quickly in the drive through. The inside is always well stocked and very clean. Everything is where it should be which is sometimes an issue in other places. The Dr. that has helped me regarding dosage is always very helpful and provides all of the necessary information regarding prescriptions including recommended times to provide the doses as well as possible and common side effects. She always says I can call if I have any questions but I've never needed to since everything works out as she says. I also like that my son's doctor simply faxes over the prescription and I can drive through later and pick it up. Hassle free!! Can't beat that! read more

I booked an appointment for a vaccine through the Walgreens website. It was scheduled at 9:00. The confirmation stated to be there 10 minutes early. We arrived at 8:45. The pharmacy was closed and said it would open at 9:00. We waited. At 9:03, 3 associates walked by to open the store. They stated they need to clean first. They didn't ask why we were there just proceeded to do a very quick and incomplete "clean". They cleaned one chair and not the other. Cleaned one counter but not the other. At 9:06, they said how can I help you. I stated I had an appointment for a vaccine. The response was "we are doing those now". I showed her my confirmation and she said yeah, I know. We are trying to tell them to take it down. No one is doing them. Frustrated, I left. On a side note, called Rite aid and the pharmacist was amazing. She ordered the vaccine and her first dose was administered on Friday. I would suggest you take down this option if you are not doing the service. Oh and open on time. read more

This is absolutely the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. They don't answer phone. Leave you on eternal hold when the machine answers. Sent employee previous day for hep B shot with form to be filled out. Form partially filled. Called next day and recording stated pharmacy temporarily closed. Called 3 times that day and couldn't get an answer on the phone from store. Went to store and pharmacy would t be open until next day. Manager didn't offer any means our ways to help customer that was across town to deal with situation. Managers should think about the solutions to problems...ie direct phone line number for tomorrow? Can you leave a copy? Her is a fax or email number! Think out of the box people;) read more

I love this Walgreens! It is super clean. Everyone is so helpful and the bathrooms are CLEAN! It can get really busy after school gets out in the afternoons, especially in the summer with the high schoolers are looking for a cold drink. I especially love the Pharmacy. I have to frequently pick up medications for my elderly parents and they are always super helpful. Great customer service! read more

Covid or no covid, this walgreen's pharmacy always has slow service and often doesn't have things ready when they say it will be. Unfortunately, my wife insists on this location, so I'm stuck waiting in long slow moving lines and often having to come back multiple times because they don't have the prescription ready. read more

A typical Walgreens store. This branch is quite clean though. Probably because they are one of the newer branches in town. Tried some of their products with their Walgreens label. They are less expensive than the name brands and work just as well. Can't complain about that. What sets them apart from other Walgreens that I've been to is that they have Redbox. It is located on the side closest to Cruz thru. If I lived in the area, I'd come here regularly. Since I do not live in the area, I'll stop in again next year. read more

I use this Walgreens location because it's close to me and it's there when I need something quick and last minute or when someone in my house is sick and needs meds. I am always greeted when I walk in by the employee at the cash register. When an employee walks down the aisle I'm on they always ask if I'm finding everything okay. The prices are a little higher but I will pay for the convenience of shorter lines and close proximity to my house. read more

This is the Wal-Mart of convenience stores with a Macy's price. The drinks are reasonably priced but anything else seems to brew double the price of Target our Wal-Mart. There are a lot of these around but this one seems to be one of the cleanest and it gets the job done snack wise. The best part of these franchises is they always ask for your number or for your points card and if you don't have your card with you your number never works. Tried to get my RX today that my doctor called in 3 hours before I went over to the store. 1 extremely frazzled lady said I had 1 in the system. I asked about my husband and she said he didn't have anything. Then said she didn't know. I asked her to check and was told she is alone and busy. Funny I was the only person there and she blew off the man in the drive through. Another person showed up for work so my husband asked her what was in the system for us. Now it is 0 for me and 1 for him. I just got a text that 1 of mine is ready. Lady I'm sorry you can't prioritize and work smart but don't lie to people when it comes to thier mediation. Any suggestions on a new pharmacy I don't want to die because they don't know how to look up a name in the computer system. read more

Ive have anyways had a problem with this pharmacy! I have sever asthma and cant go a day without my medication. Now when i got told my prescription will be ready the next day and then call just to make sure its ready (because i have had this problem more then 3 times now) the lady then tells me it wont be ready for another additional day!! That's 3 days in a row that i wont get the medication that i need. And to add to all of this panic and stress that i have because i dont have the thing that keeps me alive, the women is RUDE, DOESN'T APOLOGIZE, and has HORRIBLE customer services! Most pharmacies I use seem to operate as if they don't need your business so it's good that there is one on every corner, at least in my neighborhood. I have been going between Rite Aid on Ming, CVS on Ming, and Walgreens on Buena Vista for a couple of years now, and have been less than impressed when it comes to pharmacy service, but recently was pleasantly surprised by the personal service provided at Walgreens on the corner of White Ln and Buena Vista. Having a new Insurance this year, there were several snags getting my order through, which is always frustrating, but the very pleasant woman in the pharmacy went out of her way to get things cleared up as well as the pharmacist, who was also very helpful and pleasant. Realizing that, in some situations, circumstances are out of the control of the pharmacy staff, pleasantness and the willingness to go out of your way, goes a long way for a pharmacy; kudos to Walgreens on Buena Vista. read more

Normally this Walgreens has been fairly good and efficient with refilling meds and the customer service being good....until today! The first problem is there is 1 employee trying to do everything: drive thru, getting the meds ready, working the front counter etc. I have noticed the past several times I have been here that there is never enough workers to help the customers! Also when I came today she said it would take an hour but then changed her story and said 20 minutes even though she said she was the only one working! I decided to wait it out and then about 15 minutes later she tried to tell me that my insurance(Medical) would not pay for the BP medicine that has the water pill all in one tablet. It would only cover the separate BP medicine and the separate water pill. Well that is crazy because I have never had to pay for any of my meds since getting Medical. This is the first time I have ever heard of soething not being covered! The problem with the separate water pill is the pills have to be scored(cut in half). Anybody who has done this knows how difficult and stressful of a process it is trying to cut those tiny pills! I tried doing it and the pills never cut evenly in half and some land on the kitchen floor even though I try to do it carefully! It's a joke! And I am not paying for those pills when you consider the fact that I am getting my anxiety medication for FREE with Medical( a savings of over $1000 per year!) So how can you justify having to pay for BP medicine. This Buena Vista location desperately needs new management! I used to enjoy coming here but the past several times I have been here have not been a pleasant experience. They could start by having way work workers back there helping out and professional workers with good people skills! read more

I have been using this Walgreens for my and my families prescriptions for several years, however as of today I will be transferring my prescriptions. I was prescribed a flu medication and went to the pharmacy to pick it up. The clerk told me that no Walgreens in Bakersfield had the medication and that I WOULD HAVE TO CALL OTHER PHARMACIES IN TOWN TO SEE IF THEY HAVE IT! She told me to call CVS, Rite Aid, etc. I asked her "so I have to call them" and she said yes you do. Unbelievable that a customer (especially one with the FLU) has to look up and/or google different pharmacy numbers and call to ask for a medication that they can barely pronounce and then have that pharmacy call Walgreens to get the prescription information. Where is the customer service! The pharmacies I called couldn't believe it either and said they would have made the calls to other pharmacies as a courtesy to their customers....needless to say I will be changing pharmacies for my family and I! read more

I take over the counter sinus medication. The manager, Dave Markus, questioned me today in front of employees and customers of how much sinus medication I take daily then told me how long a box should last me. Told me its because "hes concerned about my health" . I Don't who this store manager thinks he is or what gives him the right to question me then lecture me as if hes my Dr. I was appalled and humiliated. I will NEVER go into this store again and plan to contact his upper management to report this. Another employee heard me tell him he had no right to question me the way he did and as I was leaving, the employee stopped me and apologized. Said everyone of the employees detest him. read more
