I really enjoyed the chill atmosphere. We were a group of 5 and dined beachside on a weeknight in the 6 o'clock hour. Our initial server was on point and knowledgeable regarding the menu. I asked him about a couple of items and he provided me his insider tips. In the end, I opted for the VIP sandwich. It differs from a French Dip because it's shaved lean prime rib and not fatty. It was paired with seasoned wedge fries and au jus. The sandwich was not only delicious, but extremely filling as promised. The au jus was a generous serving amount and the temperature of my meal was on point. I did ask the runner for napkins when we received our meals, but those never came nor did our initial server until it was time for the check. This was slightly annoying. OK this was our first time here, we live in Wellington Florida about an hour and a half away and we were meeting friends. Walking in was like being on vacation for a couple of hours, the outside of this location in the inside are the cutest ever. I feel like I want to come stay here on the weekends and drive up every weekend The scenery in the vibe is vacation all the way and the people are so welcoming and friendly and nice. We sat right on the deck looking over to the beach and the view was spectacular, our waitress Emily came over and she was so much fun so informative and so patient. we started out with beverages had a chance to catch up with our friends, she was not pushy at all she was so patient. Then we came to order we order, nice and healthy salads and we got to sit and talk. The salads came out in a timely fashion were absolutely delicious and she listen to every single, every single thing we asked and it was executed perfectly thank you Emily. We will definitely take the ride up when we want to go out for the day and definitely visit this location again and bring many friends with us, I would like to know and inquire how much it would stay for the weekend they have a motel connected to it And I am realizing this place has a wonderful wonderful history I'm going to look into. When you walk in you see a rustic diner and an awesome dive bar, but if you keep walking through the joint and out the back door you'll find a pool, lounge chairs and deck seating that overlooks the beach so close to the ocean that it feels like the surf is gonna wash up onto your feet. On our first visit we got the nachos which is layered with chili and fresh grated and melted cheese, no cheese wiz on this plate. Guacamole, sour cream, and a delicious salsa are served on the side. My wife and I split this and it was more than enough for the two of us as our shared first course entree; it would make a great appetizer for four, or a full on meal for one. For our second course split entree, we selected the 1/2lb burger. It had a wonderful char to it and the flavor was very good. Service was laid back but very attentive and the prices were very reasonable, especially with the happy hour beer specials. We went for dinner on our first night in town. Really cute theme. The reviews were decent. The drinks were just mediocre, kind of flavorless to be honest so skip those at $10-15 a piece. The food was really solid though for a beach restaurant and $15-25 a meal. I got a Mahi sandwich which was GREAT! Fries were bland and a bit soggy for wedge style. Hubs had Cajun pasta as did one of our other friends; I like spice a lot, but for the average person, it was a bit much. Another friend had the crab cake sliders, definitely would get those again. The the other two in a group pad fish and chips which look decent and for our monit adventurous friend, a cheeseburger. Didn't hear any complaints about either. We didn't stay for dessert because we had drinks and as I said they were just OK. Definitely nothing special though on those. Would definitely go back for food though. read more

Waldo's on the water coming here for many years had a timeshare here many years ago like 40! The people here are a bit rough there's covered tables but right next to you will be smokers blowing it in your face ! That guy smoking had a few kids in the pool brought their own food and drinks and he ordered one drink classy! Anyway I'm guessing the bar is a pickup joint from the looks or where u bring your girlfriend while your wife and kids are gone I did notice tables set up in front of building which I'd prefer cause place is sooo loud! Has the bar right next to where u r eating Shawn our server again is very good service .. I had chicken salad plate was very good hubby had fish sandwich with the usual teaspoon of coleslaw. They had many drink options including some perfect beachside drinks. The food is good. For the most part it is average pub food. The chicken salad was really good and was different in that it came with pasta salad, fresh fruit, and beat chips. On this trip the beat chips could have been a little crunchier as they were kind of soggy. Service was great and food came quick but we didn't feel rushed. In addition, Waldo's has a great building and has been in Vero for many years (if you read the menu, you will learn the owner build the restaurant and attached inn without any plans. You can look out onto the pool from the restaurant, which also has a wonderful view of the ocean, which is just steps away. Parking can be difficult at times, but there is also plenty of street parking and parking lots nearby. We will certainly come back the next time we are in Vero and try and the regular menu. read more

Unbelievable view, great food, amazing drinks! My boyfriend and I went here for lunch and we loved our experience. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the ocean. The view was enough for me, but the food was great too! I was pleasantly surprised with the drink selection as well. They had a lots of options for frozen drinks. We enjoyed our food and then went for a walk down the beach which was just a few steps away from our table. We came back for more drinks and live music which was great as well!
