Well, finally decided to try again. So glad I did. Server was busy with tables when I arrived to place my to go order. Chef asked thru the window what I wanted, so he can get it started and save time. After previous experience, I was afraid to order a grouper sandwich blackened, as I feared it would be dry. So got it grilled. But it was cooked well and moist. Will try blackened next time. And will probably go back again for a breakfast sandwich. :) Both server and chef were very friendly. Great location, cute place. My only suggestion would be to amp up the fries. I can get Cajun fries at Casey's. Maybe try wedges? Just a thought... I'll be back again. read more

Nye was an excellent server. We had an amazing dining experience. We sat outside on the patio, greeted by a very friendly waitress. The menu is mostly shrimp and fish, chicken etc Nye recommended the coconut shrimp taco and she was right on. They are not too sweet and just the right amount of coconut and crispiness. So good I ordered a second one! The pan seared snapper taco was very good as well. It is a chill ambiance and a nice view of the ocean. Great selection of cocktails. We were looking for a waterfront restaurant for a casual dinner on Mother's Day. We wanted to sit outside but it was too windy. We took a table and ordered. After ordering we noted the place was full of dead or nearly dead flies on the windowsills and the floor. I asked for another table because the window next to us was the worst. Over 20 dead flies. I mentioned it to an employee and got a vague answer. I wanted to leave but we already ordered and the person I was with was initially reluctant, so we decided to stay Soon she became more inclined to leave but I don't hear well in noisy places, so we stayed. The food came. I ordered fried shrimp. She a watermelon salad, My Shrimp were plump and properly cooked, but has a strange taste. The salad was worth about 3 dollars, very little there besides scraggly lettuce. I ordered a beer that was the only highlight of the night. Not walking out sooner was my fault. The poor food and unsanitary situation was theirs. Will Never go there again. By the way, they never cleaned up the fly problem after I mentioned it. . read more

Arrived at 11:30 with two hungry children ages three and two. Restaurant was half-full. Ordered immediately, no need for menus. Water came out quickly. Then...waited, and waited 10 min, 15 min, nothing. Waited another 15minutes. At the half-hour wait mark, went inside and asked what the hold up was ... they said to me that they were on an "order hold". (a what?). End of the story is that we eventually just got up and left. Along with a few other tables. We were never served. No explanation from staff. What a disaster and so sorry for our crying children! Just ate at Seaside for the first time since new ownership took over. Very disappointing. They seem to be running low on staff, which explains the long wait with lots of open tables. I completely understand and that is not the issue. But the very long wait for food was uncalled for. Every other table was empty. And unfortunately the food itself was very disappointing. We had pork belly eggs Benedict, breakfast sandwich, and traditional breakfast. The home fries were pathetic. The eggs were meh. The pork belly should have been good but it was also disappointing. **INITIAL REVIEW** I came across Seaside Grill simply by happenstance. I was galavanting around and about Vero Beach, searching for the TurtleTrax turtles in the area. The last turtle I found that day, with my friend Paula, was located in Jaycee Park. It was here we discovered Seaside Grill, and because it was convenient, we decided to eat here. Needless to say, we were happy we made said choice. Seaside Grill (which I will shorthand to Seaside) is unique as it is a small restaurant located in the southeast corner of Jaycee Park. The building itself looks like one of the larger lifeguard houses you'd see on the beach. There is a lot of outdoor seating with a wrap-around patio area, with two entrances leading to a small selection of inside seating. Take note there is no restaurant restroom, or if there is one, it is not available to the public. Anyone wanting to use the restroom will have to utilize the park's public restroom. Paula and I sat inside on the northside of the restaurant. Given suggestions by our waitress, we decided on two grilled cheese sandwiches with our specific sides. I also ordered three tacos to take home. The grilled cheese with our respective sides were delicious. Simple, cheesy with an excellent cheese pull, the sandwich didn't diverge muc from the traditional grilled cheese, but they added some alterations to truly make it their own. As for the tacos, fantastic, too. Ultimately, eating at Seaside Grill was a phenomenal experience. Definitely would go back here if I happen to be around this area again. If Seaside stays consistent, they will definitely earn their fifth star for consistency. read more

$14 for a veggie omelette. It was tasty enough, but all it comes with is toast. If you want potatoes or anything else, you pay more. Huh? If you want an English muffin, that's another $3, which is fine if there was potatoes or fruit or SOMETHING else on the plate. We go to breakfast several times a week. This place will be busy during tourist season for the location, when they can get away with that, but it was certainly dead there today, and I see why. Locals are not silly enough to support that. The previous owners always had the place packed, no matter the time of year. That's a one and done for us. Vero Beach has some great breakfast places, where you get a full meal. Mentioned this to the waitress to pass this along to the owner and she said many people say the same thing. Well they're obviously not listening to customers being kind enough to tell them what they want. We can just not return, leaving owners to wonder why. Next time we want to eat breakfast out in this area, we'll continue on our way to Lemon Tree. Or to any of my other favorites (Mrs. Mac's Filling Station, C.J. Food can take a while since it is always pretty busy but it's understandable since it is right on the beach. Great ambiance. Staff is always friendly. First, ask yourself if you would pay $16.00 for the traditional breakfast? Not great service. I expect more I especially expect hot coffee while the view is amazing. Doing some work in Vero and afterward decided to head down to the beach for a little while. Couldn't pass up eating locally while here, either. We ordered one of each Taco so we could give them all a try. The coconut shrimp Taco had a nice sweetness to it but not overly sweet. The steak was our least favorite. The meat was seasoned well, but it was chewy. The blackened shrimp had a nice saltiness to it, and the sauce on top took it up a notch. The snapper was good, too. The place was a little warm inside, so I wish we would have sat outside, but it was a nice little joint to grab lunch at. Service was top notch, too. read more

We came for breakfast the other day and Gabby was our server. She was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Our 8 year old daughter is Type 1 diabetic and her sugar was a little low, so she was kind of grumpy while she waited for her food but Gabby put a rush on her pancakes and fruit and was very kind to her, even though my daughter wasn't in the mood lol my husband and I both ordered the pork belly eggs Benedict and they were soooo gooood. I'm new to the area, Paige was great serving beer in the evening, encouraging breakfast in the morning. I came back and wish I had not. I sat at a table with dirty dishes for a half hour. The bus guy finally came and cleared the table, offering to get my beverage. A waitress to take my order, coffee cup was empty. She took my order, the side order of sausage came with a refill, breakfast order finally came coffee gone sausage gone. Service sucks, ever unorganized. No priority of guests.
