Carnitas Juan Bowl and Margarita on the Rocks

Small place that is also pretty popular ice cream spot. A lot of small seating location along outside and inside. Atmosphere is laid back with a live singer! Not the best I ever heard. Food was pretty tasty and service quick. Not the happiest bunch behind the counter but dealing with tourists can do that to you.

El Sid is a wonderful spot to grab some delicious tacos. They food is great quality and incredibly delicious. We also had the chance to try their margaritas and their soft serve slushes. Everyone they had was delicious. We wish the size of the queso was a little bigger and be prepared for limited seating inside and out. Super friendly staff who were helpful in the choices we made.

Vero Beach-Talk about a tiny lil hole in the wall!! Yep, just how I like it! Delicious fish tacos! Lots of meat, cheeses, & cabbage! Hubby had the carne and the carnitas tacos. Really tasty! My only regret is getting the orange and vanilla slushie. Not great. This is actually why I was seeking this place in the first place! I had heard about their amazing slushies. I would definitely go back for the tacos, but would not order that again.

Great local place! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Inside decor was unique and most of the seating is outside. I had the empanada and Mexican street corn. Both were excellent. I would come here again.

Best spot for fresh Mexican and real lemonade They also have soft-serve ice cream and pints to go

Not a great experience at all. We will definitely be choosing one of the MANY other dining spots in Vero next time we're here (especially at the cost of 87$ to feed a family of 4 for the portion sizes received). Our order took 52 minutes from the time we paid until we received the food. The price is a little steep for tacos (a little over 5$ per taco) and we have had many authentic street tacos from various places. Not sure why some tacos, chips and guac and street corn took 52 minutes as these items when made authentically (review coming from a Mexican family) take less time than that to make. If El Sid was not located conveniently at the beach they would likely not do well. Only making this review to save the next family from wasting their time and money.

    Orange ice cream waffle cone

The Orange Ice Cream will change your life! Tacos and chips are authentic and excellent.

Nice little Mexican restaurant but didn't like the chips. Too greasy for me and it's unlike me to not eat all the chips. The guacamole was good but not the chips.

The steak we ordered arrived on a very hot rock that caused grease to splatter all over the table and our clothes, ruining a pair of shorts. We had to ask for a plate to manage the situation. The restaurant has what is termed blue wave lighting so I apologize for the quality of the pics. I just didn't know how to escape the blue hue. Service was outstanding! We had a larger party and special care was provided to all of us in attendance. I started with the gazpacho, which was just okay. The paella though was wonderful. This Cuban influenced version is a bit different than the traditional Spanish version with which I have far more experience. My guess was the biggest difference was in the saffron which I didn't pick up here. Visually, and you'll have to trust me here, a wonderful presentation. A great time was had by all. Warning though, the portions are very large.

We arrived around 1:00 PM and happened to be the first people there, which was nice. The indoor ambiance is very casual. It's not really a place for large groups or gatherings, but it's great for a small group looking to grab a drink. Now for the service. Our server, who was also the bartender and chef, was incredibly accommodating, quick, and provided AMAZING service given the circumstances, so kudos to her. That said, she was the only person working in the entire establishment that day. While it was manageable when it was just our party, once more guests started coming in it was clearly overwhelming. She ultimately had to close the kitchen, which was understandable, but it happened before everyone in our group was able to order food. That left us in an awkward situation where we had to leave and go elsewhere so the rest of our party could eat. We still had a great time and enjoyed our drinks, and this is absolutely not a reflection on the server at all. This falls on management or ownership. Staffing only one employee the day after Christmas is something that really needs to be reevaluated. I genuinely felt bad for her.

This historical restaurant is located right on the water - any closer and you'd be swimming. It's an old building full of history and fun stories on the menu of how it came to be. It's a special place and it's memorable. We've been several times for lunch and dinner throughout the years. This place has a beachy gift shop, a main waiting room with the hostess stand, an oceanfront indoor bar and lounge area, and the main dining room. For lunch, it's more laid back. The menu is sandwich-heavy but includes some non-sandwich items like fried shrimp plate, nova scotia scallops, and a special entree each day. It's a lot less busy for the most part during lunch in comparison to dinner. Dinner is a big to-do here. They open at 4pm for bar seating and to add your name to the dinner waitlist. If you want a table, especially one closer to the best view, you've gotta get there around 3:50-4 to get in line. They don't do reservations unless you're a larger party. You can then either leave and come back close to 5, or enjoy drinks at their bar if you're lucky enough to score seating. At dinner, the menu is definitely more extensive- featuring steaks, chops, and different fish/seafood specials. We love their prime rib, and the creamed spinach is perfect and old school. At lunch and dinner, don't miss out on their dessert tray presentation. The dessert tray has a lot of options - and it's a fun experience. Their bartenders are always nice and professional, and most importantly make a delicious cocktail. Cosmos, pear martinis, dirty martinis, all delicious each time we visit. Servers are also nice and professional too which lends to the charm of this old place! We had one bad scenario out of all of the times we visited regarding service from an assistant manager - but every other visit has been great! I love that they have GF options, like french onion soup made without the bread! On your way out, stop by the gift shop for even more goodies - their homemade blue cheese dip is not to miss! It's complementary at dinner, but honestly we like to buy extra for the house.
