Very busy office. 2nd time here for X-rays. This office…read morepreviously got me in and out quickly (around 30 minutes total) so it's convenient enough to schedule appointments during the middle of my workday. Today the turnaround time was different. Very slow process. People who came after me were called ahead of me. (perhaps a different type of X-ray?) The total wait time of around 27 minutes to get called back. The time it took to change and complete the X-rays was less than 13 minutes, so it was very quick once in the back. Wait time on this visit was not the best. I would like this office to normalize e-forms instead of paper and pens. I would also like to see the same tech without having to ask. Besides that, the technicians are always nice and accommodating. My technician Laura did a great job making sure I was comfortable during my X-rays. I appreciated this!

Had mamogram on July 16; was told report would be ready on July 19. It's now July 27 and still no…read morereport. The receptionist greeted me and apologized for the wait as she was working with another patient. Once I was able to check in she was very friendly, genuinely asked how I was doing, and engaged others politely when they came in. The nurse (sonographer?) was nice as well, quick, empathetic, and got me out within 15 minutes. I would definitely come here again.

I was referred by my doctor to Raleigh Rad who contacted me the day after the official referral. The operator was extremely flexible with my appointment and knowledgeable about the procedure/prep. I was able to schedule a time that was good for me (unheard of in today's medical field) and given the option to get there early for prep or swing by the day before to pick it up. Anyone that can save me some time is winning in my book. I was also contacted one day prior to the procedure by the accounting person to make sure that I was clear on what my insurance was paying and what I would be responsible for. What a great concept! Upfront price (which I thought was incredibly reasonable btw) and the option of a payment plan. These guys should open a car dealership or real estate office. Fast forward to the actual appointment, the office staff were one of the most happy bunch I have run into. The office is conveniently located in a brand spanking new building off Cary Pkwy. I was taken back on time and finished when promised. Maybe I am just used to receiving poor service when it comes to anything medical, but I can't log a single complaint about Raleigh Rad. Like I did something wrong! My PCP's office called me that morning and told me that I needed this done quickly and gave me the address of where to go. I was starting to explain that because it didn't make sense to me. She was acting like I made a mistake and continued to question me like I was wrong! I was asked to go back to waiting room to wait! Turns out the mistake was made at Raleigh Radiology. I was there for 2 hrs!! Never got an apology or a complete explanation of what happened! Very upsetting experience! Let's face it, no woman wants to get her boobs squished, but it's necessary and we all have to go through it, so might as well go where they couldn't be nicer, helpful and professional. Receptionist was flat-out fabulous. Warm, friendly, made me feel personally welcome. Identified herself, and guided me through the necessary paperwork quickly and efficiently. Honestly I don't believe I've ever had such a warm receptionist at a medical office! Wait time to go on to the next step was mere minutes. Was shown to a dressing cubicle and given easy-to-follow instructions. Wait time for the actual mammogram was again very short. The procedure itself was the usual, turn this way, lift your arm this way, squish squish, hold your breath and repeat with a different angle. When scheduling an appointment the receptionist displayed wonderful phone etiquette and the text , email reminders and patient portal enrollment was very helpful. During my first visit there was no wait and Datanya saw me immediately. She reviewed my insurance coverage with me, discussed my weight with me and completed bloodwork without making me feel uncomfortable. Today I returned for test results and Datanya discussed the importance of women's health and following up with screenings for breast, cervical cancer as well as fibroids. Datanya demonstrated how to do a thorough self breast exam which my previous providers had not really spent much time educating me on or performing correctly. We also discussed the benefits of holistic medicine and not relying on an abundance of prescriptions, the importance of a well portioned healthy diet and exercise to avoid prediabetes. I really enjoyed the teaching aspect of visiting this practice and I definitely plan to return.
