At her first appointment, there was inclement weather, and we completely understand Stacey's concern for her children's whereabouts. However, I felt it unfair that my mother lost time at her paid appointment due to this. Stacey told her she had another client directly after her, and she refused to go over exercises with her. In addition, the location was unable to schedule her next appointment until March 2020, which was more than 7 weeks out? How is it that you accept a new patient, and you fail to accommodate? The office called several times with cancelations for the same week she had therapy? She did not need therapy the same week, she needed an appointment 2 weeks thereafter. They told us they are short-staffed and Stacey was the only therapist on hand. How is this our problem? I will say the other Duke locations are great, and they are very accommodating, but I would not go back to this particular location again, even if it closely located.

Insurance did not cover it and now we owe thousands of dollars to Select PT. Select has no interest in this issue and only handles billing at a central office in PA. They will not provide any financial assistance. Please be careful going there due to the very late billing practices that can get you into trouble quickly.

From the beginning, I clearly requested to be charged only when I used their services, and not to be enrolled in a monthly membership. Despite this, I was placed on a $200/month membership plan and continued to be charged even during a period when I was out of the country and not using any services. Recently, I was informed that I have outstanding dues for the past two months, and that I cannot book another session unless those charges are paid in full. This feels very unfair and frustrating, especially since I had explicitly communicated my preference regarding billing. While the stretching sessions themselves were helpful, the lack of transparency and disregard for customer requests when it comes to billing has left a negative impression. I would strongly recommend others to carefully review and confirm membership terms before signing up.

Based upon my experience, this is not the place to go for rib injuries like costochondritis. I had…read moretherapy here for 6 weeks and, while they were able to increase flexibility and strength, they really do not deviate from their playbook which did not include addressing my main problem and what brought me into the office to begin with. When, after about four weeks, I mentioned to Chip that I believed it was costochondritis, he was rather dismissive, even after I forwarded information to him about the condition. Well, if all you want to do is run your playbook, who needs a diagnosis? At that point I started to look elsewhere. Upon discharge, he admitted to me that they have not had as much success as they would like with rib and hip injuries. I would've preferred to hear that at onset. Also, I do not recommend spending the $1000 for their laser therapy. The results for me were extraordinarily temporary, despite being applied directly to the rib cage area during my tenure there.. 2025 Update: I was able to get significant relief from an out of state osteopath who specialized in OMT and was able to place the ribs back into place. Forget wasting your time, energy and money on practices that do little more than run their play book.
