Then a month later I get a bill for over $600 for the first PT visit. How can a patient know what to expect? It is unreasonable to be so off in their estimated cost. They had my insurance so I'm stunned they can't get the estimate even close.

I went to the Running PTs as I had a few runner friends who had been using them. Erin was awesome and quick to offer some strengthening exercises to correct my knee issues. I was also dealing with a mild case of PF, and she gave me some proactive treatment to take care of that as well. Over the course of a couple of months, I saw Erin (and in one instance, Lee) weekly. I did various exercises, treatments, dry needling, cupping, etc. I am currently running pain free and am very pleased with their overall service. I was not able to log in with my email to fill out the forms, so I called and was told the scheduler had put in incorrect information for my email. The person I spoke to corrected the info and asked if I knew where they were located. I said yes, on Chapel Hill Rd next to Jasmin. While filling out the form, I noticed that the original person had also incorrectly spelled my name on the insurance part. I had an appointment today at 7am for the Chapel Hill location and when I arrived the windows had tape and no signage. I called the number and got no answer. I googled another location and was told that my appt was for them and this location closed. I told her I was 15 mins away (it took me 10 mins to get to the first location) and I would be late. She said that's ok. I got to the new location 20 mins later(traffic)and was told that since I was late I would have to rebook for later in the day because everyone was busy. I asked why I wasn't told this before driving there, and she said the new girl answered and didn't know.It took me 15 mins to get there with a total of 40 mins driving start to finish.I will be contacting a different place for my needs as this was too unprofessional and mismanaged.I hope the new girl is more competent than the main receptionist.

The only reason I used BTPT was because I saw Christopher Dunn. Now he is no longer there I have no reason to stay. However, I might have stayed if they had not tried to cheat me over billing. I had exhausted the amount covered by Medicare last year and was paying out of pocket. However, they filed with Medicare anyway, and Medicare paid. BUT THEY DID NOT TELL ME. When I reviewed my EOBs and realized they had been paid twice I complained. At first they did not want to reimburse me, and when the manager at the Highhouse location agreed, it took MONTHS for me to paid. Four months from the time I paid them until they paid me, and I had to keep chasing them.

I narrowed it down to 3 places and am so glad we went with Kaci and Pam at Breakthrough. The staff is so friendly and responsive but most importantly they are experienced and knowledgeable. My son loves going to his "gym" and we are seeing so much progress already. Hopefully there are other places that are just as good but I can't imagine my son getting better care than what he is receiving here.
