This is the first time I have felt visits to a chiropractor on a regular basis are worth every penny I spend there. Dr. Gibson and Maura (his assistant) are personable and create a nice and inviting environment. More than a year ago I had my first visit out of desperation due to a stiff neck and muscle spasms (since I had promised myself to never go to another one again). I had immediate relief and have not experienced that kind of pain since. Since then, I continued therapy and always feel so much better from my neck and hip. I have seen other chiropractors in WA state and had stopped because I was scared of getting hurt. With Dr. Gibson, I feel reassured every time I go and get immediate relief. The real test came last April when I could barely stand from lower back pain that was so severe I ended at the ER on a Sunday and was expected to fly the following Friday. I had two visits 2 days apart and was able to fly and do things during my trip.after coming back, I went back for another session and everything was back to normal. After that, I have brought my daughter (15 years old) as well. She loves it and has also seen results from minor muscle-skeletal issues. I clearly could go on and on about how great he is. I never had a "medical" massage so I was expecting it to be like all my other massages. I've gone to massage parlors and spas but never to a masseuse for medical reasons. I had two surgeries and I have a lot of scar tissue and tight muscles. I saw Joanne for my arms, elbows and hands, They were overused and painful. She used a firm pressure for the most part going lighter at the elbows where I had the most pain and deeper on my back where spasms needs to be worked out more deeply. Joanne was patient and kept focus to my painful areas. She distracted me when deeper work was necessary. Ultimately, I left RTP Medical Massage pain free and was so pleased. I highly recommend this practice. I had a locking finger and then an injury to the same finger. Dr. Gibson knew exactly what to do. After 6 visits over a three month period, the locking finger was cured. No surgeries required, just specialized equipment used in his office. The staff and Dr. Gibson are so attentive, professional, and friendly. Along with loosening the tendon causing the locking, he also treated the joint damage from the injury.
