She asks at the start of each session about the problem areas. Once started, she is very intuitive about what needs attention and spends time there. She will vary the pressure if asked (she takes time to verbally check). But, frankly, she is so in tune with the depth I need, I almost always say, "already perfect." I leave feeling more relaxed and less tense. Her efforts are not just "feel good" in the moment... the positive healing results are lasting. I've had a chronic shoulder/neck issue for the past several months. I've seen several doctors to try to address it and I regularly receive chiropractic care. I recently spent a month in Clayton far from my care team out-of-state and decided to try RPM to get some temporary relief. Jaraud incorporated specialized stretch and cupping into my massage and I experienced about 10 days with no pain at all. It felt like my muscles experienced a reset. I saw him 4 times in about 3 weeks and it honestly helped me so much. Even now, several weeks after I returned home, I'm not in the same pain I'd been in before. I have looked for massage places in my city that might be able to help me maintain the gains I experienced with RPM, but so far I've been unable to. RPM is a unique experience and has truly been a blessing for me! I can't wait until in can get back to NC to see them again!

He was able to get the pain in my hip and leg down to a tolerable level. Dr. Jim made me feel like I was in control of how much he did. This made me feel comfortable and safe. I've been to therapists that didn't listen to my feedback, but Dr. Jim worked with me as a team so we can get my leg healed. If you have trouble with physical therapy, I highly recommend trying RPM out.

The Massage Conversation was just right, thank God it didn't start with the dreaded "So do you have a boyfriend? What does he do? So, I left a message. No one called me back. Someone finally answered after the third day of trying. I would have given up, but I had purchased a Groupon. The Groupon they had advertised was for a three hour spa package. Mani, pedi, hot stone massage and hot stone facial. They pushed me out the door after two hours exactly. I handed the owner my Groupon while my nails were drying. Gave her a generous tip to share with the massage "therapist". They both then proceeded to walk out the back door. Didn't say thank you, or good bye, or hope you enjoyed your visit, or I'm sorry we're an hour short today, etc. One of the hair dressers politely said for me to have a nice day. I was the first client of the day. They got there and opened up at exactly 10:01. The rugs and floors were dirty. The nail area needed a good scrub and sanitizing. It was kind of like a one room school house. To the right are the hair stations (2 or 3) and to the left is the small nail area. Straight back behind the receptionist "pedestal" is the hair washing station and to the right is the "massage room". I can't imagine what the massage room would have sounded like if someone was getting their hair washed. The massage room is sectioned off by sheet rock ONLY. You can hear everything that was in the salon. While my masque was drying, the lady felt the need to eat chips....in the room. I have never had that happen in my life. Oh, and I was super curious as to what a hot stone facial was, but I'll never know. It was just a regular facial that I could have done at home. Didn't feel refreshed and I actually felt dirty. Poor job of washing the masque off. I went out for lunch afterwards and my entire nose was still full of masque goop. I recommend a business owner refresher course, a good deep cleaning, and removing the word "SPA" from the business name.
