If Brandy is the first point of contact for this business, that phone call tells all. I had my first appointment today and not sure it won't be my last. My husband gave me a gift…read morecertificate and I was so excited after reading the reviews. I was let down. Let me say my masseuse was not one of the ones mentioned. She was not very friendly. Didn't ask what brought me in or if I had any areas of focus. Just looked at the paper I filled out said ok and that was that. She was so rough even after I told her it was hurting very badly. She said it was my fault I have knots so it's going to hurt but didn't let up on the pressure or get out of that area. I have RA and Lupus and severe joint and muscle pain which I did advise of. I was writhing when she touched certain spots and it seemed she pressed harder. I asked for my lower back to get some attention but that didn't happen either she stayed up top. I usually get a good nap and feel great after a good massage but that did not happen this time. I couldn't relax. I went home and have been so sore (not in a good way either). I can't move my shoulders, arms or bend down. My neck is stiff and I've had a migraine since I left. I may try again with someone else but I'm on the fence. Just an update: it's a week after my terrible experience. No one from the spa has reached out. No one has acknowledged my experience. I am still in terrible pain that was caused by the masseuse. I'm now having pain, shocks running down my mid back and legs from the excessive pressure the masseuse used after I told her it was too much, after I told her it was hurting, after she told me it was my fault because of my knots.

She asks at the start of each session about the problem areas. Once started, she is very intuitive about what needs attention and spends time there. I leave feeling more relaxed and less tense. Her efforts are not just "feel good" in the moment... the positive healing results are lasting. I've had a chronic shoulder/neck issue for the past several months. I've seen several doctors to try to address it and I regularly receive chiropractic care. I recently spent a month in Clayton far from my care team out-of-state and decided to try RPM to get some temporary relief. Jaraud incorporated specialized stretch and cupping into my massage and I experienced about 10 days with no pain at all. It felt like my muscles experienced a reset. I saw him 4 times in about 3 weeks and it honestly helped me so much. Even now, several weeks after I returned home, I'm not in the same pain I'd been in before. I have looked for massage places in my city that might be able to help me maintain the gains I experienced with RPM, but so far I've been unable to. I was extremely happy with my Massage from Connie, it was JUST right, as far as everything goes. The Spa is cute and not far from my home, and includes a row of very busy hair stylists, and also an area for Manicures and Pedicures. The massage room was quiet, peaceful and comfy. The Massage Conversation was just right, thank God it didn't start with the dreaded "So do you have a boyfriend? What does he do? What do you do?" while I'm laying there trying to forget that I have a life outside my pampering day. I'm really looking forward to coming back, and making this more of a regular pampering place!

So, I left a message. No one called me back. Someone finally answered after the third day of trying. I would have given up, but I had purchased a Groupon. The Groupon they had advertised was for a three hour spa package. Mani, pedi, hot stone massage and hot stone facial. They pushed me out the door after two hours exactly. I handed the owner my Groupon while my nails were drying. Gave her a generous tip to share with the massage "therapist". They both then proceeded to walk out the back door. Didn't say thank you, or good bye, or hope you enjoyed your visit, or I'm sorry we're an hour short today, etc. One of the hair dressers politely said for me to have a nice day. I was the first client of the day. They got there and opened up at exactly 10:01. The rugs and floors were dirty. The nail area needed a good scrub and sanitizing. It was kind of like a one room school house. To the right are the hair stations (2 or 3) and to the left is the small nail area. Straight back behind the receptionist "pedestal" is the hair washing station and to the right is the "massage room". I can't imagine what the massage room would have sounded like if someone was getting their hair washed. The massage room is sectioned off by sheet rock ONLY. You can hear everything that was in the salon. While my masque was drying, the lady felt the need to eat chips....in the room. I have never had that happen in my life. Oh, and I was super curious as to what a hot stone facial was, but I'll never know. It was just a regular facial that I could have done at home. Didn't feel refreshed and I actually felt dirty. Poor job of washing the masque off. I went out for lunch afterwards and my entire nose was still full of masque goop. I recommend a business owner refresher course, a good deep cleaning, and removing the word "SPA" from the business name.
