I couldn't imagine not having her there. She took pressure off my husband and made a very, potentially, stressful experience way better. I also enjoyed the post birth visit - she played with my son and shared some of her birth experiences - it made me feel better about my stresses., I also had a massage shortly after the birth and a stomach wrap. I will share my personal experience as a highly sensitive person. It was an incredibly relaxing, and rejuvenating journey. I almost immediately drifted off into a meditative state, and drifted off happily into the cosmos, freely suspended weightless without a sense of time, while my body was heavy on the table.
