I will share my personal experience as a highly sensitive person. It was an incredibly relaxing, and rejuvenating journey. I called The Healing Place to make an appointment. I explained to the lady who answered the phone that I wanted to pay the difference to schedule a full hour since I thought 30 minutes was not enough time to get a good massage. I arrived the next day a few minutes early for my 9:00 a.m. appointment. There was no one in the lobby, but I did hear someone in the back, so I sat in the the lobby. A few minutes later, a lady came from the back. When she saw me, she handed me a clipboard and told me "Fill out the forms". She did not say hello, introduce herself, or smile. She seemed that she was not happy to be there. The lady went back into the back room and I started filling out the forms. I had just finished filling in my contact information when she came out, with some type of bottle in her hand, and asked me "Do you want heat on the bed?" I was not sure what she meant. I have had a few massages in the past at other places and I had never been asked that question. I said to her "I don't know". She then, mockingly, repeated what I had just said ("I dont' know") and then said "You either want heat or you don't". At this point, it was really obvious this lady did not seem happy to be there and I wanted nothing further to do with her. I handed her my certificate, told her I was not interested in getting a massage and left. I waited about a week to submit this review because I thought someone would wonder why I was not happy and that person (the boss, owner) would contact me since I had left my contact information. I have heard from no one. So it seems obvious to me that there is no concern for the customer at The Healing Touch.

I booked the couples massage for my wife and I and this was our experience: Samantha seemed to apply right pressure but apparently to her a full body massage doesn't mean chest, torso or lower back. She asked early on before massage about problem areas to focus more on and I said back but she spent maybe a minute or 2 on lower back. Scrub was a good addition. My wife's masseuse had very cold hands, my wife was uncomfortable the whole time during massage. My wife also asked to lower pressure to medium but the masseuse did not seem to understand the difference. She kept the harsh almost deep tissue massage even though we signed up for relaxation massage. Space was cold and not very comfortable and seems like the heat wasn't even on. I also booked 75 couple massage but we found out that both masseuses abruptly stopped the massage and said that time is up. After looking at the clock they had only done 60 minutes. - old tiny space - masseuses that sort of know what they're doing - they can't get the booking right - we were told there is complimentary champagne and chocolate and we saw neither - location is shady - awful bathroom - cold rooms Save your money in an actual spa.
