My wife went in for a check-up and was prescribed blood pressure meds in the first five minutes of her visit. And, if you or your physician talks about anything other than your primary reason for the visit, you WILL be billed for a second visit (i.e., you get double-billed; check your paperwork). Convenient to my job in RTP & in Brier Creek. Scheduling was easy; however, I had to schedule something two weeks out. WakeMed has a fantastic website where you can make appointments, message your doctor, review medical history, order refills, & send a private message to your doctor. You're also able to complete forms there, which is what I did for my appointment. Check-in was quick. I waited for about 5 minutes past my scheduled appointment time & the Tamesha, a medical assistant came to get me from the lobby. She was very sweet & friendly & was quick during my "pre-screen/check-in" process. I waited for about 20 minutes for my doctor, which I didn't really like, but they were busy, so I was OK. Dr. Rooker came in & she is bubbly & friendly. I adore her! We chatted like old friends. I really feel comfortable with her & she has good bedside manner. She didn't rush my visit either. I'm really happy with this medical practice.

Go find her bio on the PAMF website, I found it accurate. I was a new patient about nine months ago, and have seen her three or four times now. Would highly recommend.

Therefore, I am not keen to praise doctors. However, PAMF has a wonderful, smart, caring family doctor that I am compelled to recommend. Her name is Doctor Maggie Williams. Dr Williams is smart, dedicated, experienced, and caring. I have had some major medical issues which Dr. Williams expertly diagnosed and has been helping me resolve. My daughter has a medical issue that her pediatrician and gynecologist misdiagnosed but Dr Williams was quick to diagnose correctly. Dr Williams is conservative and logical in her approach to treatment. She listens and asks intelligent questions. She will order tests when appropriate and will refer patients to specialists both in and outside of PAMF. She will take the time to answer your questions and concerns. She really cares. Like I said, I am very skeptical of the medical profession but if you are looking for an excellent family doctor, then check out Dr. Williams. (You will be paying out of pocket!) You don't need an appointment, but can make one if you want. I got a mean splinter almost right through my toe and knew I couldn't get it out myself. Doctor Tope and the Nurses/office staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They even asked if I wanted to take the splinter home as a keepsake, ha! The doc said that there was no way I could have removed it myself, as he had to make an incision, which made me feel much better about going to urgent care over a splinter. (My dignity is still intact!) My wait time was only about 15 minutes (due to my own paperwork). They were able to get me generic prescriptions, which was very much appreciated, and were very knowledgeable with wound care and took the time to answer any questions. We all hate getting sick, so I won't say that I had a blast at Tremont. I will say, however, that for an urgent care, they are probably the best in Raleigh.

I only waited for about 15 minutes to be seen, and left feeling extremely cared for. Dr. Tope took time to answer my questions and never showed impatience or scorn about anything I said or asked (which frequently happens to me with most doctors). The nurses were friendly and explained everything to me and made me feel at ease with shots, etc. They don't take insurance, but you can pay with an HSA or flex-spending card (there is one exception that I don't remember so I would call first to find out if they take your card). Very happy with this place- it's the only Urgent Care I'll use from here on out!
