I've been going to Raleigh Radiology for mammograms for awhile now, but had my first appointment at this location in October. Let's face it, no woman wants to get her boobs squished, but it's necessary and we all have to go through it, so might as well go where they couldn't be nicer, helpful and professional. Receptionist was flat-out fabulous. Warm, friendly, made me feel personally welcome. Identified herself, and guided me through the necessary paperwork quickly and efficiently. Honestly I don't believe I've ever had such a warm receptionist at a medical office! Wait time to go on to the next step was mere minutes. Was shown to a dressing cubicle and given easy-to-follow instructions. Wait time for the actual mammogram was again very short. The procedure itself was the usual, turn this way, lift your arm this way, squish squish, hold your breath and repeat with a different angle. My Professional Gal was just that, guiding me through it as quickly and painlessly as possible. Within a week I had my results. Could not have had a better experience. read more

Their website has very transparent pricing for an MRI. The range is $638-$1024 if insured $700 in uninsured. Bill came in at $3400. After insurance disputed, it was reduced to $2000. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone to explain why it is different than advertised on their own website. The billing department could not explain or give me a number to call to get an explanation. I will gladly pay the balance with a valid explanation. Go somewhere else you have choices. read more

I went there for a pelvic CT . The office staff and woman who performed the procedure were nice. The resUlysses were sent to doctor quickly. I requested a copy of the report and as I was reading it, it stated that my appendix was visualized. Only problem, I don't have my appendix.When I called and said that I would like it re read by a DIFFERENT radiologist they told me my doctor had to be called to interpret the results for me! I know I don't have an appendix! Over a month later and many, many calls, the doctors office sents me the new report that just had an addendum added to it saying that my appendix was not seen . By the same radiologist.This does not inspire confidence that it was read correctly in the first place. Will not go here again. What a hassle! read more

After they reviewed my insurance, I was told that I would have to pay $1,250 for my procedure (six months ago). Ultimately, my actual liability was only $102. During several telephone conversations I was provided with confused and contradictory information regarding the processing of refund. During my most recent conversation today, I was told that this entity does not refund via credit card, and I would have to wait four to six weeks for a check. Be aware, that if they overestimate your payment responsibility, it may be a considerable amount of time before you are refunded for any overpayments. I will not be returning to this business. read more

The radiologist I saw for an interpretation of a required sonogram (after the mammo) was absolutely phenomenal; the two ladies at the front desk -- well, not so much. One insisted on seeing a driver's license when I provided a government-issued identification. She insisted that a DL was required for service. I counted that her advice could not be true. A DL is not required to receive care when a current government-issued ID is provided. She also asked me to fill in my SS# -- information that is not required and exposes a patient's personal information unnecessarily. But I'll move on to my real issue. I have asked the staff via the "Contact Us" link on the website THREE times to correct the spelling of my name. Each time, a staff member replies with instructions to correct my insurance information. My name is spelled correctly on my insurance card AND they made a photocopy of the card while I stood at the front desk. My name must be spelled correctly on my billing records to match the spelling on my insurance information. If they cannot correct the spelling of my name (a very common name to boot), how am I to trust that they will manage more complex information well? I really wish they would get this easy-to-fix problem resolved read more

I had an X-ray done and I'm simply trying to get my results. I called and left a voicemail. Someone called me back. I called again and was transferred. The number I was transferred to didn't answer and had a message that stated they didn't accept voicemails and provided a new number. I called this number and got another voicemail that didn't accept messages. I finally called the front desk hoping to get some help and was rudely treated. I was interrupted several times, was told there was nothing that could be done, and was hung up on. I'm in a lot of pain and simply need my results so my doctor can know how to proceed with treatment. I'm in tears with frustration over how difficult this is. read more

I went there December 2020 right after my knee surgery. People are not very good at communicating to other people there in the Cary office. I ended up having fibristic atypical mass. They said it's okay because my breasts are dense. Then they did an ultrasound from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock. They missed a 9 mm mass, because it was at 4o'clock. They didn't look there. Later this year I went in May my left breast was larger and much more sore. I am a woman I've had breasts since I could remember, I know what different sores are. I said and the fact they did an a mammogram they didn't find anything on the mammogram. Thank goodness the doctor said let's do an ultrasound. From 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock then the nice technician decided to go further to 4 o'clock. That's when she found a roundabout 9 mm mass. When she looked between 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock, there were three cysts that were 2 to 3 mm. Understand they are cyst and they are not cancerous, but the fact that had three more above the 9mm concerned me. The doctor comes in and explains everything and he said this is a type and size of the mass where we could do a biopsy, but it's my choice. I decided to trust him and wait until December. He did give me an option to call back if I want to do a biopsy, with the technician in the room. I had other things going on with the medical field that the medical field has missed. I finally called today and they will not do a biopsy because the doctor did not put it in his notes. When in fact there was a witness in that room. Now that they deny me because they think it's non-cancerous when the doctor says he has no idea if it could be cancerous or not. I went to medical school and I understand it could not be cancerous because there was no blood flow into my mass. But I have other factors I grew extremely tall in elementary school, I've already had benign Cysts in my early 20's... And that too I understand they're benign, but having that and early age makes me wonder. I'm adopted so I don't know what kind of genes I have. I don't know if my parents had cancer. What's worse I have dense breasts tissues (yes known for a 40 year old), but I have fiberistic breast because I had a thick uterus. To the point they deny me for a biopsy to make my mind at ease. If they're really care about women's health they would have just approved it I would have paid out of pocket. I've already had scare of cancer in my uterus I've already had scare with three cysts in my right breast in my 20's, and (nothing with Cardinal imaging) then UNC technician missed small gallstones and March, and this past month went to another hospital who found them. I do not trust the medical field. My point is they wouldn't even give me the chance to get my mind at ease when I'm already underway of not trusting the medical field. This place really does not care about women's health, only the results and what the doctor says in his notes. This place does not care about what the patient says. Just like all medical fields. If this had negative Stars I would give it -5 stars. I am so outrageous right now and I can't contact corporate office I can't contact to tell my story so I am telling it here. read more

I had a MRI in December 2022 fully covered by my health insurance plan . it is now September 2023 and cardinal imaging sends me bills for the procedure . every month I call them and they come up with an excuse ..oh sorry we had your name wrong , your insurance plan number wrong , your address wrong . finally a woman promised all Info is correct and they will submit the claim to my insurance plan . and yet again I received an invoice . I called my health Insurance plan and they told me they have never received a claim from cardinal . huge scam ! they are just trying to get a cash payment . I just received a threatening letter that they are sending me to collections if I don't pay the bill . read more

I received a call earlier to advise me to come in early to make sure I give THEM enough time to get things prepped... but they could not call to advise me they are running 1.5hours behind... guess I'll have find someone else to pick up my child from school etc... things happen I understand but if you have my number to call me to tell me to come on eerily, you can call me to tell me you are running WAY behind so I have enough time to make different arrangements for things I had planned. read more

I went to Raleigh Radiology for a few years and was very satisfied. But Cardinal Points recently bought this Raleigh Radiology location (Cedarhurst Drive in Raleigh). Raleigh Radiology wrote me (out of the blue)and said all the radiologists who were once there were there no longer. Yet the Cardinal Points telephone voice message says ALL is the same. It is not. Although the staff tries hard, I would never go there again due to the recent changes. This company is a mess. There was a mixup in appointments. Then, I was there for 3 hours. The person who did the mammogram was not yet fully qualified. The Records people lost my mammograms but eventually found them. After they found them, I asked for my own copies, and they cheerfully said they'd send them to me. THEY NEVER DID. The radiologist suggested needle biopsies that were totally unnecessary (I got a second opinion, thank goodness). I experienced a lot of unnecessary stress this year because of their actions. Maybe they'll straighten themselves around, I don't know. But I don't want to suffer due to their growing pains. If you're looking for reviews, make sure you look for those during the last half of 2020. read more

This was my first time at Cardinal Points Imaging (Brier Creek location). I admit I was not looking forward to it because the previous provider/facility I used (which shut down) was very efficient (typically in and out within 30 minutes). I was blown away at the efficiency of this facility! I was told to arrive 15 minutes early, which I did. I checked in, signed a form or two, sat down and within 5 minutes was called to the back. (Note: I completed the required forms online in advance of my appointment.) I changed into the scrub, went into the room, had the imaging performed, dressed and left. While walking to my vehicle I looked at my watch - it was still 2 minutes before my actual appointment time. (This meant I was in and out within 13 minutes!) Bottom line: very efficient, professional and I would highly recommend! read more

You may have been recently misinformed that your appointment location has changed (or you may receive such communication in the coming days). We wish to assure you we are still here to care for you at the same location address. We have been proudly serving the community for over 20 years. Since July 1, 2020, our Midtown at Cedarhurst, Wake Forest, Brier Creek, and Clayton locations are now known as Cardinal Points Imaging of the Carolinas. The same friendly faces and quality care you have come to know and trust are here waiting to care for you." It specifically says..... WE ARE NOW KNOWN AS CARDINAL POINTS...... This meant, they just changed their name, or merged with another company. OK. I liked them before, no worries. I just confirmed my appointment. A few days later I received a phone call from Raleigh Radiology asking if I wanted to make an appointment for a mammogram. I said that I ALREADY had an appt. She informed me that... No, you have an appt with a company that TOOK OVER THE SPACE WE LEFT. They are NOT Raleigh Radiology and are NOT affiliated in any way with them. I do NOT like being mislead. I do NOT like being deceived. If they were honest and said that Raleigh Radiology left and we have taken over their space, I probably would have just gone there. To find out that they LIED to me means I will NOT have anything to do with them. I don't deal with liars. read more

This is a review of Cardinal Point. I have been there 3 times and just received a phone call that I need to return yet again. People, it is one knee that needs attention! One time they just cancelled the appointment on me, my doctors office said they made the appointment before they had all the insurance information. Visit two they did an MRI, oh but not all of it, so visit three took the picture they should have done at visit two. Now today I got a call stating I need an xray, which I guess no one thought to mention the other three times I was there. I live an hour each way from this facility so this isn't a quick trip. Wrote to my doctor and begged him not to send me back, time will tell. read more

I had an appt today and when I walked in the waiting room was full and people had been waiting for close to an hour for their appt. Apparently, with the new company comes a new computer system and it was a mess. I was always so impressed with Raleigh Radiology - in and out in 15-20 minutes. I would definitely wait a while before scheduling here until they get their system under some kind of control, or just plan on waiting in a crowded room for a good while. I will go back to a Raleigh Radiology location. read more

My doctor sent me to Raleigh Radiology for my mammogram and it was somehow a delightful experience. From the smiling faces at check in to the Keurig in the waiting area, getting started was a breeze. I was quickly brought back to a cozy area to get changed and wait with a private suite for my things. The staff was kind, gentle and made the whole experience painless and pleasant. They gave me a card when leaving with the names of the people who took care of me written on it, thanking me for trusting them with my care and providing contact info in case I had any questions. Great place and great people. Highly recommend. I've been back for MRIs on my knee and low back. Got me in the same day and got my exam results to my ortho right away. (My ortho could have done the MRI in-house but I'm on a high deductible insurance plan and Raleigh Radiology is much more competitively priced than my ortho for MRIs). Glad I researched costs and asked my doc to send my exam order to Raleigh Radiology. Two thumbs up for Raleigh Radiology once again. read more

I am writing to issue a complaint against Raleigh Radiology, 1212 Cedarhurst Drive, Raleigh, NC 27609. In February 2020 my breast surgeon scheduled a bilateral breast MRI for me, preceding surgery. On Wednesday, February 26, 2020 the first of two MRIs was administered. A technician successfully inserted the vein catheter in my right arm, led me outside to the MRI trailer and introduced me to the technician, Eric. During the procedure, Eric communicated to me that he was about to begin inserting the dye. After the procedure, an aide checked on the images. She returned a few minutes later to assure me that they had gotten excellent images and the report would be sent to my doctor as soon as it was ready. As I was about to exit the building, another aide approached me and asked me to follow her. Eric passed me in the hallway and apologized - he had stopped the imaging process when he had started the dye. His supervisor greeted me with the news that the images I had just been told were fine, were not and I would need to return on Friday to have the test redone. "Pound down the water," the supervisor said, "then we can redo the test." When I started to object and ask questions, she ordered me to "stop talking", "keep your voice down" (she was using a stage whisper to speak to me" and told me to "grow up", these things happen). Two days later I returned (Friday, February 28th at 12 noon). A technician, Michael, attempted nine times to put the vein catheter in my right arm. At one point, I suggested he might get another technician or use a warm cloth as his efforts to "dig" into my arm weren't working. He persisted, until my right arm was bleeding. Blood trickled on the floor, which annoyed him and he blamed on me, and he used the gauze he had been about to put on me to wipe the floor, and then tried to put that same gauze on me. When I objected, he grabbed my wrist and told me not to pull away. I insisted another technician be brought in. Another technician tried unsuccessfully 3 times to put the vein catheter in my left arm and succeeded on the fourth try, all the while complaining that since the dye machine would be on my right side, the catheter in my left arm was a major inconvenience for them. After the procedure, I told the staff I felt dizzy, light-headed and nauseous. I was sent to change clothes and I asked for them to get my friend in the waiting room to help me. When she arrived, I was unable to stand on my own and felt quite faint. With the help of my friend and another staffer, I was led to the waiting room and exit door. Once outside, the staffer dropped my arm and returned inside. I collapsed on the sidewalk and vomited for several minutes. My friend, with the help of another patient's husband, got me to her car and drove me to the emergency room - I was in shock. read more

I wanted to compliment your staff on their professionalism. Carla, Eric, Eddie and Paula were great! I came in for my MRI at Raleigh Radiology/Cedurhurst. They really listened to my needs regarding problems with a previous MRI- just a little claustrophobic. They gave me a washcloth for over my eyes, kept the room cold, played country music for me and allowed me time to gather myself prior to going int the machine. I asked for incremental "time checks" so I knew how long was remaining. That helped a great deal. No problems at all!! I came out with a smile on my face I can't say enough about them. I had to have a CT and I was nervous about it. I can't say enough good things about my experience here! I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment as suggested, and right on time, they brought me back for my procedure. The tech (Beth) was both friendly and informative, listening to all my concerns and chatting with me to put me at ease. I'd never had an IV before and she administered it in a quick and painless fashion. I thought for sure I'd have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for my results since it was done on a Friday afternoon, but I had the results analyzed by a radiologist and my GP that same day. I had a mammogram here today. I used to go to this facility when it was a Raleigh Radiology. It sure isn't Raleigh Radiology now. My appointment was for 3:30. I was told to arrive at 3:15. I was there at approximately 3:10. The waiting area was full. I'd never seen more than one or two people there when it was Raleigh Radiology. I was told my wait would be 15 minutes. I finally was ushered into my mammogram at 4:10. That was nearly an hour after I was supposed to arrive. The staff I interacted with were on the surly side of rude. All I wanted was my usual Raleigh Radiology in and out and what I got was an interminable wait though the tech was pleasant. I will never go back there. Poor customer service. read more

Just wanted to give a shout out for Raleigh Radiology. If you have to get "the girls" smushed periodically, this is a good place to do it. They get you in and out of your appointment in good time, the techs that I've worked with have been great (especially Ivy), and the doctors easy to talk to and willing to answer questions. Other pluses, a coffee machine for free coffee in the primary waiting area and nice dressing rooms. I left off one star because they could use more magazines in the waiting areas and/or maybe a TV, and they need a wireless network for patients to access. There was one I could access but it wasn't labeled Raleigh Radiology, and Firefox nixed it as not trusted so I didn't want to use it. read more

I have been a patient of Cedarhurst for years now and have always had the best of care..My appointment yesterday went great Tyrone checked me in and Amanda did the CT scan. She explained everything as she went and I was in and out in no time flat. Since moving to WF I have also started to go to the Raleigh Radiology out here. They have been helping me through Breast Cancer episodes and done such a great job. Thanks to their skills one problem was stopped dead in its tracks... They are always so warm and caring. I went to the Cedarhurst location for my mammogram. It was the best experience all around from check-in to check-out . Firstly, it is a hassle to have to take time from work and kids to go to the doctor but the convenience of all the locations and the availability of the scheduling staff to accommodate to your schedule is truly tremendous! Being a single mom of 4 kids and holding 2 jobs, that makes it possible for us as women to take care of ourselves. The ladies at check-in were very warm and caring, even offering coffee (they have a Keurig!!). I was called back in no time for my exam. The mammogram tech was amazing. She was very friendly and had a very calming demeaner which made it a great experience as much as we dislike having our "goods" smooshed. She was very knowledgeable and you could tell that she really loves what she does. I felt at ease throughout my whole visit. I would recommend Cedarhurst to any and everyone. I went for a mammogram at Cedarhurst on 5/29/2014 to follow-up my annual physical. The clinic is located near my office. My family has no history of breast cancer, and, I thought from the onset it was questionable why this test would be necessary. Before being greeted by any healthcare professional, I was promptly given a magnet informing me of the time of my next annual appointment. The office tries get people to pay extra for the new 3-D technology service. I waited to have the x-ray reviewed before going back to work that afternoon. The very next day I was called requesting that I return for additional x-rays "just as a precaution" because they were unsure of what was seen on the images of my A size breasts. I refused because I did not believe there was a problem. The office billed my insurance $280.00 for the mammogram. After repeated prodding, I went to a different Radiologist that charged me $460 for additional tests to prove there was nothing wrong. The Cedarhurst office I've learned is subcontracted to a private company and NOT managed by the same Raleigh Radiology group that had done a previous mammogram for me at the RR Blue Ridge office. That's why my records were not compared to my previous records. No personal issue with the technical service provided. Very Poor Communications. Not a particularly calm environment when I was there. It took complaining to my insurance company to learn they saw what may have been a "nodule" and where they thought it may have been located" if you want a mammogram processed like you were going through a hamburger drive through station, this could be your place to go. I definately had the impression they were more interested in quickly provide mammograms and making as much money for the business as they were in providing healthcare. read more

The mammography is fine, but if you have to have a biopsy watch out! They mistook the non-cancerous fibroid adenoma for a potentially cancerous phyllodes tumor. I ended up having a lumpectomy when I didn't even need one. Talk about losing sleep, frantically worrying and having unnecessary surgery all for nothing! Be careful if you go to the Raleigh Radiology in Cary, that's all I'm saying! read more

I found a lump and visited my Primary Care Physician who wanted me to have a mamo immediately. It was a Friday in the early afternoon. Raleigh Radiology was kind enough to fit me in and were very caring and courteous. I will definately be going back here. read more

They charged me double the price since my insurance changed and didn't tell me until I received the bill 3 weeks later. When I called for an answer the billing department was extremely rude and told me they have to much going on to let every patient now ahead of time how much money the procedure will cost or if a procedure increased in price. read more
