    Uncooked sticky rice

I have to give a honest review. The customer service good but the lady gave me wrong order. I asked steamed bbq pork bun and she gave me baked on. The food in this restaurant flavor is so so and the worst part is I ordered the Chinese sticky rice and the rice is uncooked well. How can I eat it. Disappointed the amount of money spent.

2.4 stars I stopped by to pick up my breakfast for the next day since I knew I wouldn't have time in the morning. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the price or quality of the food I ordered. Their dim sum prices are high. $4+ or $5+ per dish is difficult to comprehend for a take-out spot. I can justify these prices at full-service dim sum restaurants, but not for take-out. The 2 items I got were Daikon Radish Cakes and Shrimp Cheung Fun. The radish cakes tasted good, but the flour ratio was not good b/c the texture was just mushy. The Shrimp Cheung Fun was ok, except I say some poop trail still left in the shrimp. Texturally, the cheung fun was fine. Total including tax came out to $11.80. Service was good though. The cashier was really nice to me. And, honestly, the food did look fresh and made in-house. When I went, I think the AC was broken b/c all the fans were turned on, but it was still very stuffy inside. Seating is limited. Free parking on site.

Review of the place. Came by to check out the restaurant, end up not getting anything. No tables, only chairs. We wanted a sit down place, so we didn't stay.

    Steamed bbq pork buns!

Best take-out dim sum place that my sister and I discovered by happy accident thanks to Yelp, and are so grateful. The dim sum here is amazing, and rivals the quality at sit-down restaurants in the SGV at a fraction of the cost. Ordering is incredibly streamlined and efficient. You mark your order on the paper menu that lists all their offerings, which matches the laminated picture menu of the same numbering just in case you're unsure what the item looks like. You can also call your order in ahead of time as well because they can run out as a walk in, though they may offer to make more if you're willing to wait a little bit. The ladies here are always super friendly and patient, and will make every effort to speak English if you don't speak Cantonese or Mandarin. We recently brought a ton of their shumai and bbq pork buns to a potluck with friends, and they were a huge hit! Highly, highly recommend!

The quality is good & one of my favorite dimsum spots for togo! The price seemed to increase a little but my favorite is the shu mai & lo mai gai! The flavor is amazing. The har gow has a nice shrimp but sometimes can be soggy, but also great flavor

If you go after lunch time, they no longer have good selection anymore and they will cook for you but you have to wait 10-20 minutes. NOTE prices are different weekdays vs weekends CLOSED Wednesday

This place was recommended to me by a friend so I decided to try it out. I don't really hear much about this place so I was interested to try it. This place is in the same plaza as Good Fortune Supermarket but it's in its own building on the north side. The parking lot is shared so just park somewhere in the Good Fortune Supermarket plaza. The parking was a bit difficult even at an off time as it seems like a lot of people go to this supermarket. I would not exit out on the San Gabriel side of the parking lot because it's a bit hard to see. I recommend leaving at the south entrance/exit. The street is live oak and it's much easier and safer to see and exit. This restaurant is pretty small, not much of a dining area so don't expect a full on Dimsum restaurant. It's more of like a to-go place. The way ordering works is that you get menu and just write down the number of items and exactly which items you want. Unfortunately they did mess up my order. They didn't give me exactly what I ordered. The food itself is pretty good. It doesn't taste like frozen dim sum from like a grocery store. Everything tasted standard which is a good thing, they also have zhong/joong on the menu which is pretty rare. One order is one zhong/joong. Pricing for this place is a bit on the high side. A lot of items moved up to "B" tier which means they're almost the same price as a full blown dim sum restaurant that isn't a to-go. So for this price, I would rather order from a full dine in dim sum restaurant. In fact, I think this place is more expensive than some full blown dim sum restaurants. Overall, it's standard tasting, it's a bit on the pricey side since it's almost as expensive as a full dim sum restaurant. They did mess up my order.

Went to Wah Sing for a quick brunch. The number of dim sum options is truly impressive. The shop is not big (with only 6-8 seats). Most people come here for the take outs. The price is not cheap though I do think the Cantonese dim sum taste authentic.

I love this hole-in the wall dim sum place. There are limited sitting, but it's best for to-go orders. If you choose to dine in, they serve their dim sum in styrofoam containers, rather than bamboo or stainless steel steamer baskets. They also don't serve tea. It should also be noted that seating is first come, first served. The food is fantastic. The sizes are humongous, from the pork shiu mai to the shrimp har gow. The deep-fried pork dumpling and the deep-fried taro puff had a lot of filling in them. They were filled with a lot of meat! The egg yolk custard buns had pineapple pieces in them. Wah Sing also had steam egg custard buns, which I do not see often anymore at dim sum places and only see the custard lava buns, which are not my favorite types of buns. I didn't try any of the custard lava buns here though because I stocked up on the steam egg custard buns instead. Other items I tried included the Bean Curd w/ Oyster Sauce, Shrimp & Leek Dumpling, Minced Pork & Dried Shrimp Dumpling w/ Peanuts and the Rice Noodle w/ Shrimp. They were all delicious and juicy! I always end dim sum with egg tarts, and they did not disappoint. The staff at the register were really nice. I highly recommend for delicious and good-value dim sum.

Update: So I've tried their chicken feet, pork ribs w/black bean sauce, and egg rolls and this veggie banh cuon(?) The lady that helped me was so nice! I came 30 mins they closed but called ahead & she was the sweetest. The egg rolls & banh cuon - she gave for free. Thank you so much! The egg rolls were good, nice and crunchy, big portions compared to other places. I don't like my egg rolls sweet so this was perfect. Decided to try this spot because the price for dim sum here is pretty cheap compared to other spots. It's right at the corner of the street & the grocery plaza, place is small & there were a few people coming in as well, so I'm sure it must be good! I'm only going to review what I got which is only shumai & shrimp hargow (pictures for reference) * hargow: dough was a bit thick but still had a nice chewy texture where it doesn't just fall apart as soon as you take a bite. The shrimp filling was flavorful, maybe a bit on the saltier side for those that doesn't like too much salt but it's still really good. Usually at other places, the shrimp filling is whole but this one is nicely chopped, I like it. The dough vs shrimp ratio is good, I think that's why the dough is thicker? Nonetheless, highly recommend. * Shumai: lots of flavor, don't know what else to say lol but highly recommend. Definitely my favorite so far from all the shumai's I've tried. Overall, highly recommend this place. Price is good, portions are big as well and you definitely will get your money's worth. Will have to try the other options of dim sum next time. Oh also, they made the shrimp hargow fresh & it was only about a 10 min wait overall. Be careful, it's hot, I actually almost burnt my tongue lol Will definitely be back.

I was in the neighborhood and had a craving for dim sum so I stopped in and picked up a few things to try. The lady working there was super friendly which is a departure for the impatient and abrupt attitude one typically encounters at this type of places. The shumai and hagau (shrimp dumplings) may not be the most delicately made but they were decent enough. The rice noodle roll stuffed with chashu and cilantro was also not bad. The best was the pineapple and custard filled pineapple buns. I'd come here just to get them.

I enjoyed this dim sum spot, it's not as crazy as others and they have your basic dim sum and other entrees. The place is set up for mainly takeouts, as they only have about 3-4 tables available. Service is pretty fast, upon entering you grab a paper menu and mark the food that you want and give it to the cashier. Paid and wait for your number to be called. The order process is simple and fast as they have everything written out on paper and photo for reference when ordering. Overall the food all tasted fresh and flavorful! Best of all the price is affordable!

Finally, I made the journey. And arrived for lunch, on a weekday. To come here and not order their iconic Signature dish, the House Special Newport Style Lobster, would be a sin. Imagine a trip that was almost 40 miles and an hour of traffic (one way), with no reward. It was time to experience the real thing. The signature dish. Walking in solo, I was given a booth. I liked that. On seating, I ordered a beverage to quench my thirst, catch my bearings and breath. Almost immediately, the servers kept bugging me to order. The place was barely 1/4th occupied. Whats the hurry. After all this, I had to repeatedly tell them, that i had already spoken with a server, regarding my order. Just wanted to relax first, catch my breath, sip my beverage. Coming here, I was aware that their tank lobsters would be in the 4-6 pound range. Good for, and ordered by, at least 3-4 people. So when I, as a solo diner, ordered a 4-pound lobster (with no other choice), just for myself, they began to leave me alone and give me more respect. The cut up wok prepared, House Special Newport Style Lobster, arrives wonderfully presented, with heaps of leeks, scallions and jalapenos. My kind of recipe. Truly unique and exceptional. There is no sauce, and only a mild flavor, yet tasty. My biggest concern here was (after reading numerous internet reviews), that the lobster would be rubbery and dry. Not so for me. I lucked out. Problem here is, while there is lots of meat (a 4 pound lobster will yield at the most, about a pound of meat), they do not have, or provide, the essential lobster cutlery, to do justice to this beautiful crustacean. I did ask though. They did not seem to care and told me to use my fork. LOL. Steamed rice is complimentary. So is a soup, with sweet and sour, being the only choice (I did not like this). Either way, my plan was to take leftovers (there was a lot), home, where I possess high class lobster cracking tools. And thank heavens I did. They were most useful, to crack and dig into all the lobster meat, that would have been inaccessible at the restaurant. With additional TLC, the leftovers held up well, to provide several additional lobster meals. Need to go back to try their enticing and reasonably priced variety of lunch specials (more seafood, choices minus lobster). Another sought after box on my list, is now checked.

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. Quick note that parking gets full pretty quick here.
