Great BBQ place in Mountain View. The parking in front is limited, so I could see it being a problem on busy days. The place is spacious inside, and was clean. Not much ambiance, but it's a BBQ joint, it had what we needed. Nothing more/less. It seems like there's outside seating, but the indoor was great on a hot day. Limited drink options (they have a "healthy" soda fountain, Pepsi, and water). They do have a full fridge of canned beers. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! Meats were tender, Mac and cheese was gooey, coleslaw was fresh.

Full rack of pork ribs stacked in 2 layers, cole slaw, potato salad.

It has been a while since I had visited this one. I ordered a full rack of (pork) ribs with two sides. The ribs were tender but not falling off the bone or that moist. There was a thin layer of BBQ sauce covering the ribs; the sauce was somewhat candied and I liked that. One edge of the rack of ribs was somewhat charred and not so edible. Fortunately the area was really limited. I do prefer ribs that are more moist so I probably would have ribs cooked like this only once in a while. The coleslaw was vinegary with black pepper and some sweetness, no mayo as far as I could tell. I liked it. On the other hand, the potato salad, which seemed to be brown in color, had a slight sour taste to it, and I think that was a deliberate recipe choice. I preferred the cole slaw to the potato salad. I went around 7 P.M. on a weekday and it wasn't busy. There were two people at the service counter, maybe one person in the kitchen tending to the food. The lighting seems to have increased somewhat since I visited a long time ago. It might be an good place for a quiet dinner or dinner date, though at night that street doesn't look that inviting, even if it does border a residential neighborhood. I can't recall seeing a large table but probably they could put some tables together for a large party of co-workers. (I have no idea what the lunch crowd is like; I have never been here for lunch service.)

Tri Tip, brisket and burnt ends

Meats were excellent. We got tri tip, burnt ends and brisket. The Baked beans were delicious with chunks of meat. The disappointment was with the Mac n cheese. It was runny and not all the cheese was melted. I would skip. AC is a bit weak in the secondary room. This place is great for large groups as there is room to meet up there. There is parking but it is a small lot. Service was excellent and a highlight as our cashier gave us some good recommendations.

Service 3 stars Meat 4 stars Sides. 1 star We came on a Monday at 6pm. Only 1 family was inside eating. Lady at the counter wasn't rude or friendly. The person delivering the food to the table was nice. We ordered ribs (3.5 stars) they were a little dry, not much smokey flavor, but the seasoning was good. We also got a brisket (4.5 stars) great flavor, super tender, to much fat marbling for me. Sides - a good BBQ need to have good sides. Mac-n-cheese (3 stars) it was very runny BBQ beans (3.5 stars) great flavor but served room temp Potato salad (3 stars) to much relish or pickle Corn bread (2 stars) no flavor No wet napkins - this is a must for eating bbq with your fingers

Solid Q in Mountain View. Lots of things seemed familiar to me, and I go and find out that they are part of a huge BBQ chain/family but each location has a different name. I've been to 3 others Redwood City BBQ, South Winchester BBQ (San Jose), and Canyon's BBQ (Castro Valley) and I've reviewed most of those quite favorably, except for 1. But they have about 4 others that I haven't been but are on my list. I guess now I'll know they are more the same than they are different. I knew walking in that I was going to like it. A strong aroma of wood smoke hugs you upon entering. A cool mural outside, lots of beers and bbq on the tables, cool tunes that was all over the place genre wise. 2 Meat Combo ($26/4.5*) Crazy solid combo. Not as juicy as I would prefer but between the perfect smoke content and their seasoning just makes me happy enough. Brisket: Their brisket is awesome. Not as juicy as some of the top notch places here in the Bay, but the flavor was perfect for me. Assertive smokiness without being overbearing. Get a piece with a good layer of fat and it was basically hearty beef bacon. I rarely put sauce on brisket but theirs is not bad, maybe just a dot or 2. Ribs: Also drier than what I like but the flavor and meaty texture was enough for me. Definitely have to pull these off the bone a bit, does not easily fall off, which I actually prefer. I like toothsome versus mushy meat. These ribs do have a layer of bbq sauce cooked into them, so it has a sweet and tangy flavor already in it. But they still can accept extra sauce, as it will not only moisten the ribs further but it will amp up the tang and sweetness that pork ribs are natural for. Tried 2 sides, beans and coleslaw. The beans aren't the super sweet kind, which I liked. More chili-like very hearty and complimenting to the smoky bbq. The slaw was perfect, crisp with a creamy yet slightly sweet dressing. Crazy good, I could actually eat their sides alone as a meal. Their corn bread here is strange. It is cooked in a sheetpan and cut into squares much like a brownie. But that square is then griddled til golden brown so I totally thought it was garlic bread at first. The other bbq spots I tried from this same company didn't make corn bread like that, so this was a first for me. Probably the only miss for me here. Also tried a half pound of Tri Tip ($20/4*) Very meaty that they were able to keep it a nice pink medium, which I like. But much milder in smoke than their brisket and ribs. I ended up making sandwiches with these at home. They are sliced pretty thick so you may have to slice some of them further. It bites easier in thinner slices versus monster thick slices that will pull out of the bread with each bite. I learned that on this out so just throwing out a tip. A solid bbq throwdown with a cold frosty one, plus lots of leftovers for work lunches the next few days, is just an out I can repeat over and over. Glad I found this spot!

Great food and service. Stopped by after work and heard a lot about this place so I had to check it out. Right off Moffet Blvd on 101 is where it's located with minimal parking. Got the regular tri tip meal with potato salad & Mac and cheese and cokes with corn bread. Trip tip was tender and juicy. Potato salad wasn't too bad but it was flavorful. Mac and cheese were really good. Not soggy or too much cheese at all. The cornbread was crispy on the edges and really buttery. Must try bbq place in Mountain View.

Excellent! I recommend the brisket. They have Humble Sea beers too (among other craft beers)

The service was very quick, I enjoyed their sides! They have a lot of seating! I got the two meat combo with Mac and cheese and potato salad.

Rib meal with 1 Meat + 2 Sides + Bread!

Had a craving for BBQ ribs one morning and decided to try out Wagon Wheel. The reviews looked promising, so I showed up at 10am ordering the rib meal. It should have occurred to me that lunch service wouldn't begin until later, but the owner was incredibly gracious and had my meal ready after 20min. The ribs were well cooked and falling apart, the mac and cheese was very flavorful, and the sauces were perfect. Would come back again!

Dinner- started to get busy 10 mins after ordering :)

Was in the area and decided BBQ was a good option for dinner. Wagon Wheel BBQ has been in my bookmarks for a while and decided to give it a try. Order at the counter, seat yourself and food brought out. Decided on the Two Meat Combos with 3 sides: :: Brisket and Burnt Ends Brisket was tender, not overly seasoned and delicious. Burnt ends were (IMO) not my thing - tough leathery, dry pieces smothered in bbq sauce - a meat left behind! 2.5/5 :: Brisket and Pork Ribs - both good options and would stick with that next time. Sides: Mac n cheese - creamy cheese and tasty, Cole slaw was enjoyed. Beans were a bit undercooked and sweet (like they used the bbq sauce), garlic bread or corn bread. Decent options Overall, 3.5 stars...recommend the ribs and brisket...avoid the burnt ends based on my experience tonight. Realized spot is the sister spot to Redwood City BBQ and South Winchester BBQ as they have the same recognizable menu items and bottled BBQ sauce. Small parking lot in front and right off Moffett Blvd from Highway 101 near NASA Ames Research Center. Average price/person with no drink: $32 with tax and tip

Got ton of takeout for 8 people. Ordering online was easy, with curbside pickup available. Food was ready on time, well-packed with butter and honey for the cornbread, and they were great asking whether we needed utensils and plates. MEATS 1 lb tri tip - stole the show, you can see how juicy it is Full rack ribs - falling off the bone tender, though wish there was more going on with the rub 2 lb brisket - we expected to be a crowd fave so I ordered extra but was actually a bit dry! Good strip of fat and crust though. Wonder if an off night. 1 lb pulled pork - appreciated the mix of textures here, though personally wish I had some Carolina Vinegar bbq sauce with this 1/2 chicken - just had a bite and it was moist, good lighter bbq option SIDES Beans - flavorful Mac n cheese - good texture and v cheesy Potato salad - more seasoned and less creamy than most (which I like) Cornbread - thin like literal slices of bread - cornmeal bread loaf? Not a big fan but significantly improved warmed with butter and honey Farmer's salad - should love this on paper but maybe I didn't like the dressing? Something was off today. I can see myself getting this with tri tip on top and another dressing in the future. Cobbler - simple but surprisingly good, not very sweet, perfect warmed in the oven and served with ice cream. Quite a sizable portion. Highly recommend! Almost everything (all the meats, rubs, sauce, sides except Mac and bread) are gluten free which is great. We had a whole container of meat and cornbread and half the sides leftover.

The brisket, remember I am a brisket smoker, is very tender. It doesn't have the real smoky flavor I'm used to but cooked perfectly. The potato salad is pretty good, a little darker than I prefer. Taste is good with the tangy minced onions. The ribs are nearly perfect. They could have used about 20 more minutes but still delicious. The cornbread is good and it is warm. The garlic bread I wasn't expecting is delicious too. The barbecue sauce may be a little too smoky and too much sugar. As an Alabama/Texas BBQ native I'd say they are doing it pretty good, even better than Vegas. The server was nice and attentive. The quiet music in the background wasn't too much and plenty of of room for families.

We got the 3 meat combo, and it came with 2 sides and cornbread. We got chicken, brisket, and pork ribs with potato salad and mac n cheese. We got the food super fast. The cornbread wasn't that special. They have 5 beers on tap and a variety of canned beers. I would definitely get the brisket if we come back. Service was good, and the place smells so good inside. A lot of tables available!

Tey mention craft beer but nothing on menu. Do they have a selection, can you get it to go?

They actually have a pretty good selection on can and a couple on tap. last I went they even had a sour seltzer on tap. Love this place! Going to be back on Saturday

Hello, is there outdoor seating? I've tried calling the business numerous times but can't reach a live person to confirm. Thanks in advance!

Hi Cherylynn, Wagon Wheel BBQ does have plenty of outdoor seating, a large indoor dining room, and a private room inside that is available to reserve and can host groups up…

There was nothing wrong with the BBQ, and I'd absolutely eat here again. For me, the rating came down more to value, portion size, and personal preference than anything being poorly executed. When the plate landed, my first thought was that there could have been a little more protein. I mean, I had just paid about $30 and was also charged an upcharge for the ribs and brisket. The sides were generous, though, so it wasn't like I left hungry. Brisket: The chunks were sweet and moist. The slices were just okay on their own, but the sauce helped. In hindsight, I probably would have asked for cuts from the round rather than the flat. But I wasn't asked, and I didn't think to ask. Ribs: Also fine. Nothing wrong with them, but they didn't make me stop and think, that I'd be licking my fingers. The thing about BBQ for me is it's easy to eat and make, but you can't exactly decide at 5 p.m. that you're craving BBQ for dinner. But I appreciate what goes into it and what they are doing here. The sides were generous. The slaw was fresh and crisp, and I really liked how it cut through the richness and boldness of the meats. The mac & cheese wasn't quite my style. I like mine extra cheesy, gooey, and sticky. This one seemed to lean more toward a roux-based cheese sauce. Which makes sense because roux-based sauces tend to hold a smoother texture and separate less when they're stored and reheated. It just wasn't my jam. I ate it, though, but I'd choose something different next time. This was a very easy lunch visit. I ordered my meal, and it arrived shortly after my first trip to the pickle station. Service was fast. There was no real line to speak of, and I arrived after the typical lunch rush, but all the tables were clean. The parking lot is the way to go. There are about 20 spaces and there isn't really street parking, so plan accordingly. But the thing that really stood out to me had nothing to do with my plate. Someone arrived with their well behaved dog, and one of the restaurant employees offered the dog a bowl of water and a piece of brisket. That kind of hospitality gets noticed. It's a small gesture, but those are the details that make a restaurant memorable. It felt genuinely kind and welcoming, and honestly, that's something I'll remember longer than whether I preferred the mac & cheese. Bottom line is it's a solid BBQ spot, generous sides, fast service, and some genuinely nice hospitality.

The quality and flavors have stayed consistently good throughout the years, which is something I really appreciate. The beef is always fresh and flavorful, and their kimchi is absolutely amazing, especially with the free refills! However, one thing that unfortunately hasn't changed is the service at the front desk. No matter how many times we've visited, the staff at the front always seem quite rude and dismissive. Even when our entire party arrives on time for a reservation, they still make us wait an additional ten to fifteen minutes without much acknowledgment. But recently I've felt less delighted and impressed with my dining experience. We came at 8:30 on a Sat which has its pros and cons. The advantage is that there was no line and we were seated right away. The disadvantage was that we felt a little rushed to finish, and the staff was clearly winding down dinner service towards the end. Regardless, we were served well. Our waiter grilled everything for us and made sure we were taken care of. I do feel the meat and banchan quality is not as premium as it was when the restaurant first opened. Nothing blew us away like it did the first couple times I've eaten here. 10 Butchers is owned by the same group that owns the 2 Kunjip restaurants. They clearly know how to run an elevated Korean restaurant. But perhaps Kunjip Tofu and 10 Butchers make a great first impression and then naturally lose their appeal after a few visits. When the bill comes out to $120 per person, I was hoping for that delightful experience when I first came here a few years ago.

The location that we went to is located next to Maggiano's Little Italy in Santana Row on Olin Ave. There is a free 2 hour parking structure across of the restaurant where my boyfriend and I parked at. We came during their Lunch Specials (until 4pm) and Happy Hour (from 3-5:30pm) which worked perfectly as we wanted something smaller in portion compared to the dinner portions. We started off with drinks. I got their Pig Ol' Bitties Blonde Ale, and my boyfriend got their Friday Beer & Shot special of This Little Piggy Went to [Mark]et with a 16 oz Dirty Little Pig IPA and a shot of Benchmark whiskey. My fault for having him get a whiskey shot on an empty stomach, though HAHA. He did like how smooth the whiskey was at least! We shared a 2-meat BBQ Lunch Combo Plate, and honestly, we should have gotten 3 meats because of how tender and delicious everything was! We got their Tri Tip and Sliced Brisket with their Garlic Mash and server recommended Sweet Potato Tots. Ahhh, everything was so good! Aside from the tender, flavorful meats, the two sides, especially the garlic mash, were sooooo good. We both loved everything! It was definitely a great choice coming during lunch as we were quite full after ordering one of their happy hour shareables of Chips & Queso (kind of pricey even for happy hour in my opinion for chips and cheese). Honestly wished we got their Chili Cheese Fries or their other fries which were the same price than just chips and dip LOL. But it was a good hold over food with us drinking a bit (at least for me). Shoutout to the only server who was working on a late Friday afternoon as she was doing her best to accommodate everyone + trying to clean up the previous tables. It was kind of sad seeing that the other workers didn't help bus the tables in my opinion. Overall, a great place to watch sports and have some good whiskey as this restaurant is known for their whiskey selections!
