I'm love with their rotating flavors. Cherry Blossom will always hold a special place in my heart, but the Ube is pretty spectacular too. The only thing that would help me a ton is flavor release calendar, since I'm on the opposite side of town. We love the friendliness of the safe and how great they are at explaining their items. We always popping in to see new flavors. The only thing that could make this better is if they plan to open one near Lake Nona area.
I tried Wafu today and i liked it. The vanilla was your standard vanilla, sweet but not overly sweet. I wasn't a big fan of the cone, the texture falls apart easily. The ppl are so nice!
Wafu ice cream was new to me! I got an Ube cone and Cereal Ice cream. They put a skewer of mini mochi on top. The sweetness of the icecream was very on point. The staff was polite and it was really a great experience!
This place serves Japanese waffles and soft serve ice cream. I was a bit disappointed they didn't have more soft serve flavors but ended up getting a swirl of vanilla and cereal milk. You get one free topping so I chose fruity pebbles. Put it on a regular waffle cone and it was delicious! It's a very small place, just wish they had more flavors! The employees were efficient and friendly.
First time here came right as they opened. I've had this sweet bean in Korea in Japan and I still forgot to get it here so that'll be for next time. We did end up getting the custard and Nutella for sweet as well as the tamago for savory. The box was funny cause it said CNT at least funny to me. The cream was delicious and not overly sweet but still obviously sweet warm fresh. Everything you think you would need, the Nutella was the favorite because it's freaking Nutella and with the warm fish dough Made it even better. I personally am more of a same person so I got the tamago egg and truthfully the only thing was missing was hot sauce, but that's just personal preference for me. It was fresh hot fluffy. It was a perfect breakfast meal. I think the only drawback to a place like this is the wait time. It did take around 12 to 15 minutes which they did let me know ahead of time however that is the only drawback because delicious food I understand takes time and I'm for it so no deductions from me . I will definitely be back here again and I hope you will visit this place soon.
I had a savory wafu, so they don't only have sweet ones! They have bacon + cheddar, plus grilled cheese toastie. Also Kimchi but I didn't get to try that one this time! They also have seasonal flavors they rotate. It's easy to order online for pick up or even delivery if you are nearby. It's convenient if you are at another spot at east end market, and amble to place your order online and get a text message when it's ready.
Yum! There's always a huge line for Wafu at East End so we were glad to catch their truck at an event. Their Taiyaki is good -- I'm a traditionalist and like the red bean taiyaki the most, but I enjoy their savory taiyaki as well. Their soft serve texture is really creamy, without being too soft or runny. They have a special flavor of the season, so check their website for see their latest offerings.
We stopped by for a couple of milkshakes and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were--the pandan and ube flavors were rich, creamy, and flavorful. That said, be prepared to WAIT. The shop is small, and you're only inside briefly to place your order--then you're waiting outside. There were only two orders ahead of us (one being a soft serve with toppings), but it still took about 15-20 minutes to get our shakes. With three employees working (one focused on making the fish-shaped taiyakis and the others handling orders), the pace felt a bit slower than expected. There are a few seats outside, or you can wait inside near the elevators or browse a nearby jewelry store to stay out of the heat. Despite the wait, we were pleased with our milkshakes. Just plan accordingly if you're in a rush!
Cute little spot. When you enter you can smell the waffle cones being made. So good! Service was great and it was yummy!
Really dug Wafu's ice cream, they have different flavors they rotate in from time to time. They make everything fresh in front of you so it's cool to watch the show before you eat.
Wafu at east end market is so delicious, you have to go if you haven't already! I absolutely love their flavors, toppings, and taiyaki waffles. They offer sweet and savory options as well as taiyaki cones you can fill with custard or Nutella. My ONLY complaint is that I wish there was more variety in their ice cream flavors. I feel like every time I try to go it's always cereal milk, and while it's always a fan favorite I would love to have more options if they ever were able to expand, or maybe change it out more frequently. They do change the flavor weekly, but maybe it's just my bad luck. I've been dying for a matcha or coffee flavor to come back. You order inside the actual restaurant and then the staff will call your name and hand it to you through the window. East end has so much seating and so many different places to choose from. The outdoor seating and string lights make for such a cute vibe at night.
Got the custard taiyaki--it was very good and tasted very similar to the ones I had in Japan. Sat outside and ate it on one of their tables afterwards. I recommend for a nice sweet snack.
Great dessert options. Location is small and there is not dine in option. Had to get the Pandan taiyaki. They are made fresh order so expect a wait. I'll definitely be back for their other soft serve and seasonal flavors.
Wafu has both sweet and savory fillings! Definitely a place to try in Orlando! Located in east end market with a bunch of other delicious meals. Service is amazing you are able to order online and inside. A very cute little shop that packs a punch! read more

Delicious hidden gem in the east end market! they rotate their ice cream options on roughly a weekly basis and I'd been dreaming of making it there while they had Ube . you can get the flavor on its own or swirled in with vanilla. Highly recommend the taiyaki waffle as your cone! Can't wait to make it over for more unique ice cream flavors and need to try the savory options at some point too~ It's a small shop on the second floor so don't expect to have room to sit and eat but there are a few benches upstairs or plenty more outdoor seating options on the ground level. Excellent quick service read more

Originally went in for the ice cream but decided to try other things. The store is located on the second floor but you can get to it with the elevator located inside. Be aware the parking is limited so get there early if you hope to get a spot close by. Once there the line was out the door which means the place must be good (right)? While waiting I was able to see that the restaurant was staffed by two employers. The line moved very slow because they seemed to be understaffed during a constant rush. Regardless I waited because I really wanted to try the food since I heard so many good things about it. After what seemed 15 minutes of waiting in line I was able to place my order and got: Strawberry milk Ube ice cream on a Taiyaki cone stuffed with custard Wafu flavors Bacon + Cheddar Grilled Cheese Toastie Tamago The staff was friendly and was able to quickly explain to me what were the menu items based on their flavor. The total came out to $32.20. I got the ice cream first (very quick), and I am able to say that it was really good. The flavor was smooth and the texture very fluffy but once you got down to the cone it was a bit dry but the custard was able to save it. 4/5 Then after a looooooooooooooooooooooooong wait (Ordered my food at 6:39pm and got it an hour later), we got the three wafu. Out of the three we got, only the Bacon + Cheddar was able to stand out from the rest. The bacon was the only thing giving it some edge. All the other flavors in the background were just a mush and not doing much. This is why I think both the Grilled Cheese Toastie and Tamago really had nothing going on for them. For all of these once you got down to the tail it was filled with more stuffing rather than the filling. The bacon gets a 4/5 the others 2/5. Finally the strawberry milk. It was meh. They apply this syrup at the bottom with what seems to be strawberry bits to give it more of a whole mouth pallet feeling. Gave it a really good shake and down it went. The flavor was next to tasteless. There was a hint of strawberry but the flavor faded as quickly as it came. The strawberry bits were nice but not enough to save it. If the flavor was more intense it would have gotten a 5/5 but it gets a 2/5. This place is great for an ice cream date. For everything else it honestly was not worth the wait. If they are able to do something about the turn around time on tickets and the flavor of the items I had their ranking might go up. read more

Love this location. First time here and its great, the little waffles are perfect size. Full of flavor. You deff need to order a minimum of 3 because you will need to come back for more if you only get 1. Definitely coming back next time im in the area I'll give it a 10/10 read more

Much needed on a warm day in Florida! The taiyaki was warm and crunchy and the ice cream with filling complimented each other. Loved this cute spot, the workers were friendly and fast too. Also, if you like cute apparel or stickers, they have a great collection of hats/shirts/stickers/pins/magnets/etc. Would come again if I was back in Florida! Hopefully with more flavors to try! read more
It was morning time so I decided to go with the savory cheese and bacon WAFU. I thought that it was very tasty but a tad hard and somewhat dry. The others in my group added dipping sauces so they didn't notice the dryness as much. The dipping sauces are called Dunks and come in five flavors...Maple syrup, Nutella, dark chocolate, caramel and sweet potato syrup. I definitely recommend adding a Dunk to your order. read more

I've been eating Wafu since they were slinging out of their first food cart. Would scout where they'd be next just to get my taiyaki fix! If you plan on visiting, come hungry! The Tamago taiyaki is a great contender for a savory treat, and the vanilla soft serve is smooth, creamy and delicious finisher. I'd avoid the black cone if you're sensitive to food coloring (made my husband's stomach upset). The line/wait can get quite long at East End, so I recommend ordering ahead! read more

Super delicious! They consider this Japanese style but very similar to Korean style as well. Super delicious, lots of options and flavors. They even offer savory options. If you order the taiyaki without the ice cream they serve it warm and it's so yummy. They were also super friendly, very cute shop and their merch is adorable. read more
First time visiting the stand alone shop, had tried them back in the day when it was a food truck. We ordered the combo, so nutella, custard and matcha. The Nutella was freshly made so we had to wait ~10 mins. The crisp was great in the fresh one, the other two were a little spongey, but the level of sweetness was good. The matcha was not too powdery or grass tasting. The store was cute overall and out door seating. It was hit hot inside, I think there was something wrong with the AC. There are also savory options but I was more keen on sweet. Also disappointed on the soft serve flavors! I wanted ube/taro but there was only peppermint and vanilla, maybe next time! read more
Though soft serve isnt my preferred kind of ice cream, I decided to give this place a shot based on a few recommendations. To my surprise, they also offer savory taiyaki options (bacon, cheese, etc). The Winter Park location is a bit small for the amount of business they get (roughly fits about 6 people in line inside at a time), the rest of the line continuing outside. Because its soft serve, there's also no way to sample the flavors so youre pretty much stuck with what you get. Thankfully, the flavors werent bad (vanilla & pumpkin) and the taiyaki cone was fresh which contributed to the 10-15min wait time. Overall the presentation of the ice cream itself is nice but its not a place I go out of my way to stop in. There's a different ice cream spot across the street and I cant see myself hesitating to go there unless I'm really considering the savory options instead. read more

Delicious taiyakis! Always fresh, fast, and friendly staff. The location is small and on the second floor but regardless is a cute establishment. They also have pretty decent merch. Would love if they had more variety as they don't have too many options to choose from (would absolutely believe that a smoked salmon & cream cheese taiyaki would be amazing). Aside from that I tend to go back occasionally and have not had a bad experience to date! read more
What a great hole in the wall spot filled with sweet and savory options! I tried a bunch of wafus and they were all delicious! I actually like the area as well and would definitely come back! Got to try some ice cream as well and that was rich in flavor! Thanks for the great experience showing me how a Wafu is made from scratch! read more

What a cute little spot in East end market! I love that there are savory and also sweet flavors! I personally loved the sweet/Nutella option. I just don't usually LOVE sweet & salty but my husband preferred the sweet waffle with the cheese & bacon combo. Next time I will need to grab an ice cream! read more
Came here on day 2 of their opening in June 2022. Definitely a smaller restaurant and the line was out the door. I opted for their famous fish waffle ice cream. They had a cherry blossom flavor for a limited time and it was amazing. The soft serve swirl of cherry blossom and vanilla was amazing! They had some operational issues with the grand opening week but I'm sure they'll work them out! read more

I've been wanting to give this place a try since they were doing pop ups but always missed them. My boyfriend and I have been having a countdown until they opened in East End Market and we so excited that they finally opened up! We tried to go twice on the weekend, but the parking for East End on the weekend is a NIGHTMARE! We ended up just leaving every time and going on a quiet weekday. We went upstairs and almost everyone sitting around had taiyaki the ice cream filled ones looked amazing! We opted for a savory one as we wanted a little pre dinner snack. We ordered 3 since they have a $12 deal for 3. We got grilled cheese ones and my boyfriend got a bacon one. They were out and ready literally within 2 minutes, it was honestly the fastest service I've ever had anywhere! The taiyaki was smaller than I thought I definitely could have eaten a lot more than what we ordered, but I never knew how big they were! They were delicious my biggest regret was not getting 3 for myself (haha). I highly recommend this place as I'm looking forward to go back and try the rest of the menu out! read more

Eh, it's overrated. I guess Instagram strikes again! It's one of those Instagram worthy places to take pics of. There aren't many flavors just vanilla and pumpkin spice when I went. It tasted like a candle. The service also left a lot to be desired. read more

What a cute place and delicious treats. I got a taiyaki filled with custard and vanilla soft serve ice cream with sprinkles and mochi. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my ice cream. I had gotten a random craving for soft serve, and I remembered this place had recently joined East End. The ice cream was silky smooth and sweet. I was a little sad they weren't offering the ube the day I went, but vanilla was delicious. The waffle was fun and also tasty. It looks like a little fish. It is kind of like a fluffy Belgian waffle as a cone. The custard filling was also delicious. I noticed they also offered savory options. I'll definitely return to try more of their options. read more

Located on the second floor of East End Hall, decided to try this place since I have never seen a place that makes savory taiyaki. I'm from the Bay Area and we have tons of places of sweet taiyaki so I thought the savory option was unique. I got the Bacon and Egg and it was alright. It tasted like breakfast and the batter of the taiyaki was sweet which gave it a combo of salty and sweet. I'm giving it two stars since the portion size was a bit disappointing for the price. I also thought that flavor savory taiyaki is not my favorite, but I am willing to give this place another try with another savory option or try their soft serve. read more

I've been wanting to come here for a while, and I finally got around to it because I stopped by East End Market. 9.5/1010 Guest Service: I thought the guest service was good, when I visited, the internet was down, and there wasn't a way to pay. It wasn't just their location that was having issues because every venue within East End Market had problems with their credit card readers/internet. The owner was doing his best to make it work by giving us options to pay with Cash App, so it all ended up working out in the end. The second time I went it was super busy and there were only two people working they both had a smile on their face and seemed enjoy their job. Very good customer service ! 6.5/10 Ice Cream: Aesthetically, the ice cream was a 10/10, but I love ice cream, and I thought the vanilla ice cream was average vanilla ice cream. The waffle cone was good, but it wasn't my favorite. I thought the Mochi looked so cute on a stick. It was a unique way to place it on the ice cream. 6.5/10 Cleanliness: Definitely clean, just a tight space, so it seems a touch cluttered but nothing crazy at all. Overall, Would I get ice cream again? If I'm in the area craving ice cream, I would stop by. BUT it's not my number one ice cream spot, which is okay because we all need to switch it up sometimes. read more
I'm a Wafu stan. Their taiyakis are awesome. From the savory ones to the sweet ones. I've probably had every single one but my go-to is the aniko (red bean) and the bacon and cheddar. You also have to get the soft serve. They run special flavors and I've had the Sakura, ube, and coffee. They're all so delicious. I usually add hojicha powder on top of the ice cream. Run don't walk to Wafu!!!! read more
Cute little soft service ice cream place. It's on the second floor, small shop. They have some small additions you can up in your soft service including matcha dust which is pretty good. They also have taiyaki that I would have to try next time. It was a nice spot to get some dessert with the food court on the first floor. read more
Great sweet treat stop for kids and adults alike! My kids loved the gummy bear toppings on their vanilla soft serve. I enjoyed Nutella filling in my waffle and a toasted coconut/corn flake topping on my soft serve. Our friend tried a bacon waffle and said it was amazing. My fiance stopped by WAFU for a Yelp Elite event, but I didn't make the cut, but figured I would grab one anyways. The taiyaki was very good, but be warned they are made fresh and take a while. Ours took about 15 minutes but they were well worth the wait! The taiyaki was absolutely stuffed with creamy Nutella, and the outside and inside were both lava hot so be careful and take your time! They also have ice cream as well, which we didn't sample but will definitely be back for! read more

So I've been to the food truck and I loved it. I got the deal, 3 fish for $12 and they were good. But there's a but...they were burned. This effected the taste. I think the owners need to make sure the staff don't burn the fish bc a lot were burned. We made a special trip to East End to get them but the food truck was better. They were not soft or warm, hard outer edges, chewy like a Twinkie that sat out for hours and a burnt after taste. The food truck was the way to go bc they were made fresh, as ppl waited for them...not sitting there for hrs and burning. Quality control is important. read more
To be honest, the taiyaki were tough and dry. No fluff or bounce texture to them. Smell great when it was cooking. The red beans filling was very sweet but the custard and matcha filling were good. They're located on 2nd fl. To order, you'll walk in to the counter, there's not a lot of space inside at all. Place your order and head back outside, there's a pickup window. read more

Wow! Since my trip to Japan, I was looking for Taiyaki in the US and anywhere. My search is over, this place is as close to the Japan Taiyaki I tasted. I had the original Red Bean Paste, the Tamago & Cheese and my wife had the Custard Cream. To bad I am from outside US, but every time I travel to Orlando, this will me my first stop. read more
WAFU is such a cool little place. It reminds me of a cute tiny Asian novelty spot. It has such cool decor and vibe. You can get a variety from of fillings with your Wafu. You can even get ice cream on them! I'm sure all the flavors are awesome. I got the bacon and cheddar WAFU and it was good. My only complaint is how small they were. They are basically bite-sized and leaves you wanting more. One of the options I would have liked to try is the Kimchi Wafu. I love kimchi but would never dream of eating it with a waffle. WAFU is located in a very hip part of Orlando with tons of shops and eateries in the area. Check it read more
I was so happy to finally find a taiyaki ice cream store in Florida! WAFU is located on the second floor of the East End Market. They had two flavors to choose from: vanilla and cereal milk. I wish they had more flavors to choose from! You have the option to order it in a taiyaki cone, cup, or matcha, ube, or lavender cone with two free toppings. They also have a variety of sweet and savory filled taiyakis to choose from. I ended up ordering the cereal milk soft serve in a matcha cone. The cereal milk flavor was delicious especially with the fruity pebble toppings! I highly recommend checking this place out if you are craving ice cream or have never tried taiyaki before! read more

Genuinely the worst taiyaki I've ever had. The staff was nice but service was slow and clearly yall don't know how to make taiyaki given so much excess wasted batter. The tayakis were externally over cooked bordering on being burnt, and the inside of the tayakis were undercooked so we could taste raw batter near the barely-there filling. Honestly this place would bring shame to any Japanese person. Ill take my $12 somewhere else next time. read more

This place is so yummy!! Their matcha taiyaki is soooo delicious, warm, and v much matcha-y. We also got the custard and red bean filled taiyakis, which were also amazing as well! I love how they make them fresh. Though their place is small and only large enough to take orders, their interior is super cute and playful and the staff were very nice. My friends and i tried this place out after going to Domu, so if you ever come across a sweet tooth moment, definitely try Wafu to satisfy your cravings! read more

Very small but cute place. They have their own merchandise which includes pins, hats, totes and shirts! The Taro and Red Bean buns were 5/5. The matcha could've been better 3/5. The service was standard, very friendly and patient. A little expensive for the amount you get. If you go with a group, be aware that the shop can only hold 2-3 people at once (customers). Aesthetically pleasing. read more
