I really love this place. My wonderful brother and sister met me there today for my birthday breakfast and it was awesome as always. The menu is loaded with really tempting and yummy sounding choices. I of course had what I always have, the sausage gravy waffle. Was here years ago when they opened and it was good. We went for breakfast this past Monday and I had the Monday special. Partner had the ham crepes. First, our food was cold. My waffle was tasty was lukewarm. I am guessing the waffle was made then the scrambled egg which was put on top. There was some cheese on the egg and waffle that didn't melt in the slightest way. Steve's said the ham in his crepes were cold and it all didn't taste good. Crepes were thinner waffles not real crepes. The regular black coffee was just plain awful. My husband and I used to go there all the time until now. We aren't satisfied to their "slowest" service. We waited for food about 20 to 30 minutes which it not normal. Last year, it was fast to get the food which it's more fresh and hot! This time, it is lukewarm and soggy. We paid the bill, no tips. I wrote on their merchant receipt, "service need to speed up". I want to like this place so bad!!! I've been to their Old location in New Brighton, the south side location and recently to the Beaver. The only good service and food was in New Brighton. The waitress in South side yelled at me to take the plate because it was too hot for her to hold. Yelled at me to take a hot plate from her. Yelled!
