I stopped into this cute little spot. I got three wings and a side of the "Tina Turner" Mashed Potatoes with "Rolling on the River" Gravy. The chicken was just as people say, awesome! It was perfection. However the mashed potatoes and gravy were a big let down which is why I gave 4 stars rather than 5. The mashed potatoes looked nothing like the ones on their website. Seems like a local fav. No questions why! Amazing fried chicken. We asked for an all dark meat family dinner...oh man...freshly cooked...and never been sitting under the hot lamp. We went in expecting to wait for 20 minutes or so for freshly fried chicken. Instead, just a few minutes after we ordered, some slightly-above-room-temperature chicken arrived in an aluminum roasting pan. I understand having some pre-cooked chicken on hand for a quick take out, or even par-fried to be finished in 5 minutes or so. Ours was obviously fried earlier and kept warm for some time. Finally, for our party of 6, they suggested a 20 piece. It worked out well for the chicken, but the accompanying sides forced us to dole out portions by the tablespoon-ful. Either raise the prices, or suggest a proper amount of extra sides per order. With a few changes, this place could easily be a 5-star joint. Especially with the fantastic staff.
