My girlfriend decided she wanted a waffle on our way home from a business trip. So we decided lets go to waffles then since it was close by. This was the best decision we could have made. They made the best omelette I have ever had and everything was cooked to perfection! The portions are huge for the price and the flavor is outstanding. The service made me feel like I was in a small town and they knew me personally. Needless to say I am very sad I don't live here to eat here more often. My wife and I ate here for a late breakfast on a Saturday morning. The place was packed, which I saw as a good sign. There was a waiting list and the party in front was called just after walking in. I noticed 8 empty tables at one point, some of which were clean. After about 10 minutes, the hostess simply pointed to a table that had been empty since we walked in and said to sit there. I asked for some coffee which came out quickly. When we went to reach for the creamer, there were only 2 full creamer cups out of about 10 in the basket. The rest had been used. I emptied 1 into my coffee and noticed pink lip prints on the rim of the cup. I informed the waiter who was apologetic and fixed the situation immediately. The service from the waiter was great and the good was good. Good portion size as well. Overall, I would give it another shot, but cleanliness could be better. read more

First , my husband and I would come in every Sunday (for about 6 months) EVERY sunday, most times we had the same waitress who was polite, but not great - she never remembered us (not once) thought we would often leave large tips and almost always ordered the same thing (I try to leave big tips for breakfast servers, I don't know - it's a thing I like to do) - then I started coming in with my friend to try and catch up weekly. It is always crowded when I go in, and I will admit my friend and I liked to catch up - which sometimes would be an hour or so of talking, our waitress was down right rude to the both of us, and though we continued to come in on a weekly basis, we eventually gave up because the waitresses we got were always rude. The food is not the highest quality and the prices seem high for what you get, however, they get it out to you in no time at all! Waffles Caffe has no atmosphere whatsover - at all - completely none. I came here because I like supporting local businesses, but I won't come again. one more reason why Yakima businesses make it hard to want to buy into them. read more

This. Place. Is. Wonderful. The service was great, the atmosphere was adorable, and the food.... oh my gosh! Not only were the waffles incredibly light and crispy, but their options for waffle toppings were extensive and absolutely to die for. You will not leave with an uncomfortable stomach ache from too heavy a pancake, instead you will feel full of sunshine those waffles bring to your morning. I've also had one of the breakfast egg scrambles and I shed a tear. I couldn't tell if it was because I put too much hot sauce on it or because I got emotional realizing it was hands down the best egg scramble I had ever experienced. It could easily have been both of those reasons if I'm going to be honest. The tables were clean and it wasn't crowded. Oh and the bathrooms weren't too bad either! There is a lot of parking too which is good because they always seem busy and full. I've told almost everyone I know about this place and it hasn't disappointed anyone! read more

Came back to a disappointing meal. Scrambled eggs are supposed to be yellow and fluffy, not brown and flat. It was just and overcooked dried out chopped up omelette. Over easy eggs should not have crusty brown whites. The food should have never been brought to the table and no one came back to even check. We ate around the eggs and no one even asked, just dropped off a check. They were busy, but that is no reason to serve food that doesn't even look good. What a shame. Just got finished eating here, and the food was so good! Came for breakfast, there were a ton of options. Everybody was very friendly, the food was really good, everything on the menu was roughly 9 to $11. Dining room was bright and sunny but not obnoxious. Wait staff was very attentive. We got duped into going up the street to a restaurant with a vintage car theme who shall remain nameless but it's on the same street. The food was inedible. The eggs benedict had a Hollandaise sauce made of mayo and lemon juice which gave me distress. My bad review will be on their Yelp page. However Waffles Cafe so good so much food so friendly. I have no idea why people prefer the other restaurant over this one. Your side choices with breakfast are toast hash browns biscuits and gravy French toast or pancakes! As a side! No additional charge! Do yourself a favor and come here for breakfast and don't go to the car themed place up the street. Your stomach and your psyche will thank you! read more

Looking for a cafe style place to stop for lunch close to freeway, found Waffle Caffe. Had good reviews so thought we'd try it. Great little place. Friendly, seated quickly, good came out right away. The Hawaiian omelet was bursting with flavor and packed with ham and pineapple. Husband loved it. I had the Iron Woman, a little bit of everything. Meats, egg, hashbrown (nice and crispy brown) waffle and even a muffin. Had leftovers to put in cooler. Next time I want to try the Monte Cristo. My husband is gluten free and discovered they had a great gluten free menu. Will try next time. Highly recommend this place. 5 Stars!! read more

We had breakfast at the café on North First street last Sunday. It was wonderful! Great food and great wait staff! There were five of us and we were seated right away and glasses of water and menus were waiting for us. We all loved our meals, I ordered the Iron Woman/Man Omelet and it was delish! Instead of cheddar cheese I ordered Jack cheese but they forgot to switch it out. The waitress told me she totally forgot to tell the cook and gave me my breakfast for free! Waffles Cafe is keeping alive the traditional good - old-fashioned comfort food breakfast diner alive and well. This is a place that will greet you with a cup of coffee and offers some delicious waffles. I have a meat-lovers skillet and be warned that this isn't a place you go to if you are counting calories. This is a place you would go on your cheat day and just endulge yourself with great textbook home cooked breakfast. The staff refill your coffee cup before you even ask and they are always cheerful. It's easy to see why this place has so many regulars. This place does get busy and sometimes parking can be limited. Be smart and don't go during the breakfast rush.
