    Green tea bingsu

I know this is primarily a waffle place and should've gotten a waffle to write a justified review, but I was more intrigued by their bingsu and saw someone else get their waffle and it didn't look too worth it (the waffle looked pale and just not as toasted), so this review is just for their bingsu. Really cute mom and pop kind of cafe. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and it was pretty quiet. The workers there were pretty tired and took a table themselves to nap and rest. Their bingsu wasn't bad. It's on the pricier side, but does have a lot of toppings like fruit jelly, red bean, mini mochi pieces, fresh strawberries, and a full red-bean stuffed mochi. It did take a while for it to come out, considering there were only one out of the 2 customers that had when we dropped by. The shaved ice was good and refreshing and didn't melt too quickly. The mini mochi pieces were on the tougher side. Other than that, everything else about the bingsu was good.

Came in for after dinner SWEET GOODNESS and boy, were they ON POINT! Waffle N Sip did not dissappoint. And I had the advantage of watching the staff make the strawberry waffle and I was so delighted! Such dedication and effort you can SEE AND TASTE. We'll definitely be back!

Came in during rush hour in the weekend and the front desk person did tell me to kind of cancel my drink order, but then I explained I could wait a while (was walking the dog). For $25 got the waffle egg sandwhich no meat and a sweet potato latte. Both were delicious and fresh.

What an underrated spot!!!!! I have seen it coming up via the feeds but saw that it was all sweet, dessert-like options. Plus the photos looked overwhelmingly huge in portions (totally not for the borderline diabetics etc). Also there seems to be little or no meat choices? (Just an initial assumption.) However, wanted to give this a try. After passing so many times and never seeing any crowds, it was an opportune moment. Soooooo glad we did give it a shot!!!!! There was a brunch set that shouldve been at the forefront! It included a small coffee, a croffle (crossover waffle + croissant) and egg with sausage. Whaaaat!!?? The croffle was amazing!!!! The dollop of whip cream on the side was sooo fresh- and I am not even a fan of whip cream. The staff was sooo welcoming and providing recommendations. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. (Always remember to tip.) The set up is perfect for group meet ups in which everyone orders separately to avoid those annoying disagreements with the bill . Anyways- high quality results with clean environment. By around 12:30 Sunday afternoon, all the seats were filled and packed! Online orders and carry outs were also frequent, too. The online menu and whatever the online reviews are displaying are not doing this place enough justice. This is absolutely a hidden gem!!!!! And to those 2-3 star-reviews that had included positive things to say---- double WHAT??!!!

We visited Waffle N Sip on a Saturday morning around 10/10:30am. It's located on a corner on Northern Blvd in Queens, NY. We were greeted once we walked through the door and seated immediately. Service was great! Everyone there was very friendly. The restaurant was not very crowded at that time. Throughout our time there the restaurant had customers that dined in and well as took food to go. It's very clean and fun. There were cut wood table tops and winter themed decals in the windows. They had a MsPacman video game by the door. The food was great and picture worthy. We got the mixed berry waffle, the chicken and waffle, a side of sausage and a side of bacon. We also got the strawberry ade and a matcha latte... Personally, I liked the mixed berry waffle over the chicken and waffles. The chicken wasn't fried enough for me. The berries with the creme on the light waffle was a perfect balance for me. The bacon was sliced thin and crispy, which I like. The strawberry ade was refreshing and had pieces of fresh strawberries and what they called jam at the bottom of the cup. Overall, we enjoyed the experience!

Food is just as amazing as it was 2 years ago. The ambiance is cool, and the staff are great. Everything was delicious and fresh, dine in or delivery, always a pleasant experience

So, I stopped here on my way home from lunch and thought a nice sweet treat would be a perfect complement to the food. The place is cute and cheerful inside. The staff was very friendly, helpful and really nice. The taste of the 2 desserts we had was good but the issue that we had was that both dishes had the waffle completely cold. This made for an unpleasant eating experience. Since the dishes came out to the table with 3 minutes, I have to assume the waffles are pre-made or packaged and just taken out of the fridge and put on the plate. It is too bad, because the taste was good.

We stopped in today, Sunday, for a quick lunch. We were greeted immediately and asked if we would be dining in or taking our order to-go. We chose to dine in and enjoyed the variety of food and beverage options. The restaurant and bathroom were very clean and tidy. Our food was served promptly and tasted delicious. Although it is on the pricier side ($48 for two small iced coffees, one waffle egg sandwich, and one waffle with strawberries & banana), it's acceptable for an occasional treat. Overall, I highly recommend it. Thank you for a great first-time experience.

I was really impressed with what they have to offer in a small space. The space has a great layout and outstanding customer service. Coffee and waffles were delicious. Breakfast sandwiches were scrumptious. I'd highly recommend them to you!

Been here numerous times. Service is always fast and friendly. Food is beyond yummy. I love the decor and seating. Everything is perfect.

Great place for coffee and dessert. The waffles look amazing and the pictures make them look overly sweet but it doesn't taste as sweet as it looks. Red bean and cream waffle 9/10 It was lots of flavor without an overdose of sugar. The red bean reminded me of Chinese bakeries. Hazelnut latte 8/10 Texture was great. Hazelnut flavor was good too. I think the only thing that wasn't perfect was the sweetener/ syrup.

I kept my order pretty basic compared to the options Waffle and Sip offers. Plating is super cute as you will see in the photos. I ordered a Korean Beef Waffle Dog and a Croffle with eggs and sausages. The waffle dog is an acquired taste for ME. On the other hand, I LOVED the Croffle. It was soft and a little flaky. To drink I got a Chai Latte, which was good. The flavors of cinnamon and spices were tasty and the drink was not overly sweet. The staff was hospitable and patient. Worth a revisit!

We decided to take it to go as it's not a pet friendly establishment. As I'm looking at the menu, a young boy was asking to take my order. I guess they are training their son? It took a while as he was still learning the system but we didn't mind, he was polite as well. The waffles were dressed nicely like it's ready for a magazine photo shoot. The wait time and the price was not worth my while to be quite honest. It took quite a long time for them to make two waffles, I was nearly done with my coffee as I waited. The fruits are fresh and cut beautifully. The taste of the waffle was just alright - it was not crunchy and toasted enough, nor was it hot by the time it was done decorating. The cream seemed to be made fresh and it tasted light and airy.

Perhaps the Sunday only option is their way to protect us from those of us with no self control. If that is the case, good thinking W & D! As far as the Wafels, is there anything that Spekuloos (my current sweet addiction) or Nutella is spread on that doesn't taste awesome? We were also intrigued to try the sangria that yelp raved about. We got a pitcher! It did NOT disappoint. It was a decent size pitcher for the price. Roza came to us and asked if we liked it and told us it was her recipe. No sugar ,No soda .It was tasty, thick full of fruit and definitely had liquor because I left with a buzz She also brought out the rosè for us to try pretty good too very refreshing will definitely do that one in warmer weather. I got the Dbar burger it was good but so big I didn't finish it all. My husband got the rib eye burger. He liked it but it was a little to greasy for him he didn't finish it. My 13 year old wanted breakfast. It was not in the menu but we figured we ask since it is a diner. She got pancakes with fruit and scrambled eggs. My youngest daughter got from the kids menu grilled cheese with fruit she enjoyed it so much we had to order another. Both girls for the marshmallow milkshake they LOVED it! For appetizers we got calamari good but could've used a little more breading. Also got chips with guacamole and honestly for a diner it was delicious. Everyone was friendly. Roza knew she had a bday past since we conversed for a bit and suggested we can sing her happy bday and asked what she liked I told her chocolate cake. They asked for the correct spelling of her name which I thought was sweet. Anyway the staff came out and sang with us super cool. Even the bathrooms are really clean. It was a great experience will definitely come back.I must be honest it's a hit pricey. The price for the pancakes with eggs was $23 when we saw the bill I was a little surprised. Kids' meals are $13 and I thought we were getting the cake (free, lol) since I technically didn't suggest it. It was $12 for a slice. But overall it was a pleasure she even gave us a sample of vodka with lemon and ginger which was actually good and helps settle the stomach.

I was exuberant for the occasion of goodness to patronize, at long last. What gives you hope. There is an outdoor seating patio that occupies the entire sidewalk and half the street. The weather was gloomy cloudy, but not raining which enable my party of two to dine outdoors. Our table was uneven wobbling and shaking minimal the entire meal which reminisce "Lisa from Temecula" sketch from "Saturday Night Live," but not as violently aggressive shaking. Customer service is average attentive. Oddly, our appetizers arrived first and my wine did not. We had to request my wine which should be distributed first without request or reminder, thus the four stars. This restaurant was not entirely busy nor crowded for a Friday early afternoon. Nick's Bistro is a small cafe with a modern aesthetic appeal. I enjoy and prefer to be well-cultured expose to all international cuisines without judgment and an open mind for appreciation and global awareness. I am not knowledgeable with Greek cuisine, but I do know that Astoria is the locale for the go-to restaurants. I enter with a empty stomach. I exited fulfilled. Business cards and candy were available for grabs. Nick's Bistro is easily accessible via MTA NYC Transit buses Q53 SBS/ Q52 SBS and then Q54. Dramatic irony: this business name is also the name of my former love - not the same Nick, certainly not the same man. My foodie synopsis: Lamb gyro sandwich, $12.00 The meat was soft, but fresh and Tzatziki sauce was heavy. I do not consume lamb often, but once in a blue moon I would not exclude lamb to consume. The pita bread was the highlight which was fresh, soft and cooked with a good consistency without burning or harden. The gyro contain very pauacity minimal vegetables of lettuce, half cherry tomato and red onion. I always prefer red onion. I prefer regular tomato. This sandwich ate my fill to sustain hunger pangs the entire afternoon. Gyro sandwich is always my default Greek entrée of choice. Oddly, this entrée is price higher than listed on their website for $9.00. I do not believe their website is updated for price. Caesar salad, small $11.25 It was fresh and delightful filled with Parmesan shaved cheese. This portion is actually medium size. The croutons are thankfully not hard, but I never like croutons at all. I am always enamored with the lettuce. Ruffino, Chianti, 2019 red wine $12.00 This wine is one of my favorite reds, but it is difficult to find at most restaurants or cafés not widely offered. It was a joyous delight. It is exactly as is dry, very medium-bodied smooth finish Italian red wine from Tuscany, Italy, crafted from indigenous Sangiovese grape. It highlight bright cherry flavors and surely tasted. I was floating in very high spirits. Chicken rice soup, pint $6.95 Served luke warm but not piping hot with steam visibly emitted. It was also served with Oyster crackers. It was enjoyable and warm the heart. Greek Omelet, over easy egg whites $16.50 It was served with Greek feta cheese with vegetables yellow zucchini and pita chips. I highly despise Greek feta cheese and the same for Greek yogurt because both are extremely heavy, thick and too rich. I do not see any tomatoes. This entrée did appeared well prepared and well cooked but no runny yoke. My neighbor thoroughly enjoyed this entrée. Every time I think of omelet it bring flashbacks from past long-haul international flights major airlines of standard airplane food popularity for in-flight breakfast, often served with potatoes, sausage, or roasted vegetables. Nostalgia brew. Omelet? Flight attendant, I'll take the Continental with pastries, toast and fresh fruit please. Then followed by Bedtime Care Bear make me fall asleep again.
