Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Everything Bagel | Instagram: gaogirlsgrubbin

I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a Everything Bagel. The sandwich was disappointing because there weren't enough ingredients to fill it, and the bagel's crust was too soft.

This was my go to spot before I went to Houston. I had come back here on a visit to NYC and was happy to see that this humble mom and pop bagel store was still doing well. They quickly remember who I was even after 4 years and struck a friendly conversation. First off, they make everything fresh here including the cream cheese. I love their style of bagel. Crispy on the outside and goey in the inside. The vegetable cream cheese was delish ! Whenever I am in town I am always going to find myself coming back here. This has been a hometown comfort for me, not simply because it's familiar but because I love the bagels. I also had iced decaf coffee which was right on the mark! Excellent! There is a reason why I got these bagels everyday on my way to work. I wish I could bring back this bagel shop back with me to Houston ! If you are getting a bagel the veggie cream cheese is a must ! Also the iced coffee is excellent !! A must as well !!

French Toast

awesomeness owner is very pretty and nice and from my hearing she is bilingual the only languages i heard were english and korean but anyway her staff were awesome very respectful even tho i am pretty young i love the vibe i. there and the food was delicious and the coffee was good as well but bitter . I enjoy bitter coffee so it's fine but you would have to have a preferred taste for it but i enjoyed the french toast.

You walk in and…read moreimmediately get that street market vibe -- buzzing energy, different vendors calling your attention, and the feeling that you're about to eat something really good. It's organized chaos in the best way possible. Let's talk about the star: the bánh mì. Absolutely top-tier. The bread alone deserves its own spotlight -- soft, fresh, and perfectly balanced with just the right bite. I actually spoke with the owner, and she makes it herself daily, which explains everything. That level of care shows in every single sandwich. The menu has something for everyone -- pork, chicken, beef, vegetarian -- and each option feels thoughtfully put together, not just thrown on a menu to fill space. Everything tastes intentional. I also grabbed a lemonade, which was super refreshing and honestly the perfect pairing with the sandwich. Simple, done right. Now listen -- you have to get the kimchi fries. No photo because... they didn't stand a chance. Gone in minutes. Crispy, flavorful, addictive. Don't skip them. A few real notes: * There will probably be a line -- it moves, but be ready * The good part? You're in Tangram, so you can explore other stalls while you wait * Come hungry, leave happy What really stood out to me, beyond the food, was the heart behind the place. Supporting a woman-owned business where the owner is that hands-on and passionate just makes the experience hit differently. Located in Tangram, surrounded by some of the best eats in Flushing -- it's a whole vibe. Jo Ju delivers that perfect mix of street-style comfort and elevated execution. Great food, great energy, and a spot I'll keep coming back to.

I ordered a premium beef with sweet potato topping and a hibiscus refresher to wash it down. Service was quick, as no other customers were present and it hadn't even reached noon. The corndog and hibiscus refresher were served promptly within 5 mins. The premium beef tasted like a regular hot dog to me. It just didn't taste like it was 100% beef and had more of an Oscar Meyer beef/chicken/pork mixture taste. Moreover the corndog topping was pretty disappointing as the sweet potato topping was soft and not crisp while the corndog topping below was a little mushy and the hot dog itself had no snap of a solid casing. Their menu advertised that the up charge for sweet potato topping was $1.50 (in actuality, it was $1.90) plus they would discount $1 when purchasing a refresher in addition to a corndog; there was no discount applied to my order. On top of that, I had asked for no ice in the hibiscus refresher (as it was 49° outside today and nice and cool inside the food court). The lady behind the counter filled up the cup about 3/4 of the way stating that they usually put ice in so it wouldn't be strong. I said that it was okay and that I liked it strong. Despite that, she didn't offer to fill it up all the way. Customer service was lacking.
