I'm constantly on the hunt for the perfect bagel. So sue me. Maybe it doesn't exist. Maybe I don't actually even like bagels that much but I keep thinking I do?? What is it that I'm looking for? In my imagination, the perfect bagel has a little bit of a yeasty stink and some sugar in the dough. That's how they made them at H&H in NYC when I was growing up but not even the other bagels in NYC tasted like that. Bagel Oasis' bagel was pretty good -- especially in the toaster. The thing is, I DO like bagels and -- unless they're from Fred Myer or Trader Joe's and taste just like regular white bread - I'll eat them no matter what.

An absolute staple of a deli in Queens!! My father used to come to this spot back in the 70s and they have only gotten better! Their bagels are delicious and their sandwiches are even better! They have a great upbeat atmosphere and service. Also they keep everything clean and tidy!! Hit up this hidden gem if you are in the area 10/10

Was easy location off the freeway (and across from hotel stayed at). And the perfect place to grab bagel to take to the airport for the flight back home (after a final meal at awesome Brothers pizza near by, lol). Basic looking shop, but bagels were huge and they were delicious with the cream cheese even after long time! Half eaten on the plane after hours. Other half eaten in the car after arriving back in LAX for the final enjoyment of a NY bagel!

I read about Bagel Oasis somewhere, maybe the NY Times. It was on our route, so we decided to a drive by. I stayed in the car. There were a bunch of cars double and triple parked for customers scratching their bagel itches. The store was quite busy. My wife got some everything bagels and some everything bagel flats (the term "flagels" makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up). These are the platonic ideal of bagel flats. A crisp crust and light. The flavor was amazing. Many bagel shops have dialed back on the amount of salt on their everything bagels. There was a good amount of salt on the mix here, which amped up the flavor. The seasoning was generously applied. The round bagels are almost comically asymmetric, as if to emphasize that they are hand rolled. I'm a self admitted bagel snob. These bagels are right up there among the best that I have ever eaten. I may start exporting them whenever I'm passing through. Can't speak to anything besides the bagels, but man oh man!

One of the worst Bagels I have ever had. I walked in and noticed the bagels did look a little flat but I saw them in the back making fresh bagels, and maintain hope that they would still be decent. This was worse than airport quality. This was the type of bagel you can get anywhere in the United States and not what a true New York bagel is. The bagel was flat, dense with very little difference in the texture between the inside and outside. A waste of calories and money!

We were headed to an early movie at Fresh Meadows on a Sunday morning and Bagel Oasis is right there. We stopped on our way and smuggled bagels into the movie. I ordered 2 Everything Bagels scooped out with scallion cream cheese and 1 salt stick. These bagels were fair and totally fine but not my favorite NY bagels ever. I'd go back next time I was going to the nearby movie theater.

Bagel Oasis is my go-to late-night spot -- not just for sandwiches but even the occasional lottery ticket. My favorite is the honey turkey on a toasted roll with lettuce, red onion, light mayo, and vinegar. The sandwich always hits the spot, with fresh veggies and great flavor every time. Super delicious, consistently well-made, and open 24/7 -- and at $8.87, you can't beat it!

Egg bagel with Vegetable Cream cheese. Picture doesn't do it justice. This was incredible!!!

Heard about this bagel spot so we had to try. It's a very small shop. When we got there we waited in line outside for about 5 minutes then we waited inside for another 5 minutes. They move pretty fast. There are only 3 tables inside with seating for 6 people. We grabbed a table as we had a toddler with us. The staff is so friendly and agile. Our orders were made quickly. The bagels are so fresh and soft! The texture is amazing. The outside isn't as hard as other bagels. I got vegetable cream cheese on mine. I have never had such fresh cream cheese in my life. It was also a creamier texture than most. I wish this place was closer to me. I'd be a regular!

One of the (scallion) cream cheeses we bought had pink mold :(

We bought bagels and cream cheese separately. Bagels were good but cream cheese had pink mold on it!! Good thing I checked before using. And $8 for a cream cheese that size is slightly overpriced.

Being from Long Island I'm a bagel fan and queens isn't known for having bagel shops. I finally found a bagel spot that comes close to what I'm use too. The one thing this place lacks is that inviting bagel smell but aces in all other areas. I had the turkey bacon egg and cheddar cheese with avocado on a plain bagel, it was really good. The guy who helped me was helpful and such a nice person so I left a tip. I will definitely be returning.

Eight bucks for specialty cream cheese that looks like this.

This used to be one of the best bagel stores. Now the quality is not nearly what it was the prices are absolutely ridiculous. I bought specialty cream cheese and there was no seal on the container look like it had thumb prints in it [see photo if you don't believe] Flat bagel is $2.25; regular bagels $1.50. Does it cost 50% more to smoosh down the dough? Please!

The baker's dozen (13 bagels) is worth it because you can choose between regular and specialty bagels and it still comes out to $24. And if you get the dozen on a Wednesday, you can actually get 16 bagels! The bagels are big, and airy. The combinations and variety of options go on and on. Excited to be try a new one every time. They are pretty precise with the weight of spread you order, as well. We ordered the egg salad, tuna salad, and scallion cream cheese spread. The egg salad and tuna salad were mild in flavor, not heavy, tasted healthy. I've only come on weekends, so there is always a line out the door, but there are many staff members, so the line moves. If you are ordering a lot of bagels, be prepared for back-up options because although they are constantly making the bagels on the premise, popular options do run out and you may have to wait 15min for a new batch.

Not sure if they couldn't hear me well (they had loud customers) - they gave me a regular everything bagel. I didn't realize until I left already but it's ok, I didn't mind. It's a decent bagel but nothing ground breaking. The cream cheese was the standout imo. It was tangy and quite rich. I really liked it!
