    Chicken Melt Hashbrown Bowl
    Austin D.

First off our service was amazing and so was our waitress. But the food seems to have gone way down hill along with the menu options. I didn't see any fries on the lunch menu. Just hash browns. We went in the evening after bowling since it was close. My friends breakfast was pretty good. I got a chicken sandwich and it made me sick. It tasted like cooked frozen chicken that was not warmed/cooked all the way. Was hard and chewy in spot. My partner was not impressed and it was his first time. The lemonade was pretty good though.

Coffee and tea. Not a better combination for a Sunday morning.

Love this location!! They're extremely polite and courteous. Had our drinks on the table before I could even pick the menu up! Two coffees, a water, AND a sweet tea. Popped in my order of the All Star Special, and it was out within 10 minutes!!! I was truly baffled. The meal was cooked perfectly, too!!! Overall my experience there is always phenomenal. Would highly recommend!! A southern classic!!

Both of the ladies are so unprofessional and speak with such an attitude. They need better employees in this place at night.

My friend ordered the breakfast burrito, it was huge! For a side she had the sweet potato tots. She let me steal a bite of both and yum! I opted for the Hot Honey Chicken with Pimento Benedict and wow! I was nervous the pimento cheese would be overpowering, but it wasn't at all! It was a nice, creamy complement to the spicy crispy chicken. The hollandaise cut through some of the richness for a pleasant mellower. Prices are reasonable and our waitress was great! The restaurant is larger than it looks but it does get quite crowded. Can't wait to come back here!

This is a solid restaurant with much to offer in the brunch/breakfast area - an area that has become popular and chic, and it almost always means much will be expensive, usual very expensive considering the less than costly menu ingredients that drive food choices here, and other such brunch spots. Brunch is seen as more than just a meal for some folks who are all into what is trendy, and restaurant are aware of this and prices are raised due to the "experience" element! I have tried several items here including their version of Huevos Rancheros (not a fan of how they make it, pulled pork is a party foul), the Eggs Benedict (decent but over priced for sure, $17 with bacon added), and several Omelette choices, can reach $15. This is obviously a popular spot in downtown Winston, but I find it generally overpriced, loud, and the service is inconsistent. I like a good adventure, but somethings simply are not worth the cost! Note that the prices for individual items are written, very lightly with no $ sign to the right of the item. This is done intentionally to make the customer pay less attention to what they spending. Many restaurants are using some form of this approach!

Staff is great, ambience is charming. It's a cool spot with good people. The food was pretty hit or miss. The loaded tots seemed interesting, but really...the just end up a little greasy and kind of unnecessary. Overall flavor is mudled and you don't really get anything by throwing duck on tots. I was hoping it would be one of those dishes that just magically work and are fantastic...but eh, kind of a let down. We also shared a bunch of other dishes. The pimento cheese sandwich was tasty but really hard to eat (the cheese pours out of it). We had their pasta, the duck sandwich (again. It was ok. Not great) the grain bowls seemed enjoyable, etc. We also got some desserts to share. The bourbon bread pudding again, was a pretty big let down. There was generally nothing bourbon about it. The chocolate tart was ok. The food wasn't bad, it just felt like some key items that they seemed to use to elevate their menu as a whole were just misses. But there are absolutely some solid dishes on the menu. The price is also a little high for what you get.

We came in on an unseasonably chilly May morning nursing a bit of a hangover. Krankies was delightfully warm with plenty of seating. I got the Hangover Cure biscuit, which had eggs, fried chicken, bacon, cheese, and gravy on the side. I also got a hot latte and then topped it off with a cinnamon roll. My partner got the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with an iced latte. The lattes: go with a flavored one if you grab a coffee here. Their plain latte was not that good but their vanilla latte was very good. Biscuits: WOW! The Hangover Cure is hefty with plenty of biscuit to go around - I had some to take home with me. It was absolutely everything I needed after a night of imbibing with friends. My partner also enjoyed his biscuit. Cinnamon roll: very good! They had a variety of baked goods to choose from. Definitely worth the add. All in all, I think we spent $40, which feels reasonable for the amount and quality of food we received. Definitely worth a stop in if you happen to be in the area.

I passed on the food (it seemed overpriced), but the coffee left no room for complaint. I went with a marshmallow iced latte. Winston-Salem has no shortage of places to grab a drink of the caffeinated or alcoholic varieties, but it's hard to beat the atmosphere that The Remedy has to offer.
