Perfect late night spot for waffles after a concert. we were walking back to our hotel after a concert and this was on the way. 11 pm 2nd dinner was perfect. The waffles and bacon were great! The waitress we had was very nice helpful. We will for sure come back when we go to another concert nearby

My absolute favorite location. Great service, great food, amazing staff. This location seems to be consistently busy but they get you in and out. Love coming here. The grand slam is the best deal.

OMG the loaded has browns are to die for. I took the extra step, went the extra mile, and ordered Two sunny side up eggs and just slid them on top of my loaded fries and that's it, that's how I have to order them from now on. Just simply irresistible. Service was lightning fast, and atmosphere is your small diner type, just love it.

Fantastic Breakfast. The fact that you know exactly what the kitchen looks like. The speed. The basics of it. The cook was awesome pushing breakfast out within 5-10 minutes. The coffee was not weak. As you can see in the picture. As for the waffle, fantastic! There is something about the butter and the syrup. Hubby usually likes Peanut Butter in his waffle, but we just got the regular one. The bacon was delicious, thick and 3 slices!!! So, 2 breakfasts, 2 coffee & 1 waffle was $33. Can't get that price anywhere else. The only place that I can trust to eat a good breakfast anytime of the day. Also, Hubby ate all his grits. So I guess that is a good sign about that! PS. Don't forget to tip the cook when eating at a Waffle House.

Best Waffle House I've bet been to. The food was so good. The service was excellent as well. The inside had the typical layout of a Waffle House.

This was my first Waffle House, and the one I went to in every Phoenix visit from 1988 to the end of the all you can eat special. I would eat so much I would leave my sister's toilet scattered, smothered, and covered.

Stopped in for a late bite from LA. I'm here for my graduation in Glendale. Had to have Waffle House with my family that never had it. Last time I had it was in 1990 when I was in the Navy. Food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The chefs handled business! Great prices. Great customer service. If I had room in my belly I'd order more. Great job; the chefs and crew gets 5 stars from me!

Came in at 11pm, at this restaurant and it was so dirty, food all over the floor as well as silverware. Waitress was sitting on the counter. Took forever to get our drinks, and no one was in the restaurant. There was a half eaten steak and drinks at the cash register. Everything was less than desired. This location is also to go only Thursday-Sunday.

Visited 5/31/2022 This place is disgusting. Surrounded with homeless living in the parking lot and around the edge of the building. The kitchen is extremely filthy and visible to all. The server was extremely unfriendly and acted like she hated everybody. Way to get tips young lady. Obviously the employees don't care about their job and make absolutely no effort to sweep the floors or clean anything. After observing the filth on the floor we finished our coffee and left without eating. (See The Pictures to see the truth) I can't believe the city health inspectors have not closed this place down. Sadly this store gives The Historic Famous Waffle House Chain a Very Bad Name. Pretty bad when the toilet in their restroom is cleaner than the kitchen. I'll Never Return

It is family owned, and the servers are knowledgeable about the menu and very fun. I tried the Hawaiian Portuguese sausage and eggs, I love the flavor of the sausage, and I really like their house made potatoes. They have really big omelettes and breakfast skillets. There is a sign on the door. I never read it because I have been eating here and having meetings and telling the whole community about the great food and great service. My grandson has a medically documented sensory and texture disorder that restricts his food options. On this particular visit, we brought chicken nuggets to accommodate his dietary needs. The waitress informed us that outside food was prohibited and must remain in a bag. Despite explaining his medical condition and my status as a regular patron, the situation escalated when I spoke with the owner. I acknowledge that I became vocal about my patronage and expenditures at the establishment. One year later, I remain committed to informing my community about this experience. Having worked in the restaurant industry for over twenty years, I am familiar with the principle of reasonable accommodation for customers' needs. Rather than seeking a mutually acceptable solution, the establishment chose to enforce policy rigidly. This approach demonstrated a lack of consideration for children with special needs. I have discontinued my patronage and actively discourage others, particularly those who understand special needs challenges, from dining at Country Griddle. For a decade, we have served special needs families, understanding that dietary accommodations prevent additional trauma. My grandson apologized for the incident, which I assured him was not his responsibility. The fundamental issue remains that Country Griddle prioritized policy enforcement over compassionate customer service, even when a simple exception could have resolved the matter.

We actually followed the owners here after frequenting their previous coffee shop, En Route. When they opened New Penny, supporting them was an easy decision. The café is thoughtfully divided into two distinct spaces: a family-friendly dining area and a lounge-style bar area geared more toward adults. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting. There are house-made dishes, local merchandise, a shaded patio, and plenty of charm throughout. My wife's favorites are the Breakfast Totchos and the Acai Bowl. Personally, I am also a loyal Breakfast Totchos fan. As for drinks, the Copper Coin and the legendary Cowboy Latte are both worth ordering. What truly sets New Penny apart, however, is the people. The owners and staff have created a space that feels inclusive, welcoming, and genuinely connected to the community. Support local businesses. Better yet, support local businesses that are doing things the right way. Get to know the owners. Get to know the staff. Places like New Penny don't just serve food and coffee--they create gathering places. Whether you're meeting a friend, taking a business meeting, enjoying a date, or simply looking for a quiet place to sit by yourself, New Penny delivers. One of my favorite local businesses, and one that my family will continue to support.
