It is family owned, and the servers are knowledgeable about the menu and very fun. I tried the Hawaiian Portuguese sausage and eggs, I love the flavor of the sausage, and I really like their house made potatoes. They have really big omelettes and breakfast skillets. And as you can see, we shared the banana pancakes as a family. Definitely a nice place to go with family. Or on your own for a great breakfast or lunch.

There is a sign on the door. I never read it because I have been eating here and having meetings and telling the whole community about the great food and great service. My grandson has a medically documented sensory and texture disorder that restricts his food options. On this particular visit, we brought chicken nuggets to accommodate his dietary needs. The waitress informed us that outside food was prohibited and must remain in a bag. Despite explaining his medical condition and my status as a regular patron, the situation escalated when I spoke with the owner. I acknowledge that I became vocal about my patronage and expenditures at the establishment. One year later, I remain committed to informing my community about this experience. Having worked in the restaurant industry for over twenty years, I am familiar with the principle of reasonable accommodation for customers' needs. Rather than seeking a mutually acceptable solution, the establishment chose to enforce policy rigidly. This approach demonstrated a lack of consideration for children with special needs. I have discontinued my patronage and actively discourage others, particularly those who understand special needs challenges, from dining at Country Griddle. For a decade, we have served special needs families, understanding that dietary accommodations prevent additional trauma. My grandson apologized for the incident, which I assured him was not his responsibility. The fundamental issue remains that Country Griddle prioritized policy enforcement over compassionate customer service, even when a simple exception could have resolved the matter.

The host stand felt cold and unwelcoming, and the overall energy outside was a little off-putting. To be fair, the hostess was polite when she interacted with us directly, but the first impression was not warm. Once we were seated, Miguel turned the whole experience around. Since we are vegetarian, we have to ask extra questions about sauces, stocks, and hidden meat ingredients. Miguel was extremely helpful with navigating the menu and made sure the items with meat stock were removed or avoided. That kind of care matters a lot. The food was also pretty good. I had the South of the Border Omelette, and my wife had the burrito. Both were solid, and Miguel's service made us feel taken care of instead of like we were being difficult for asking questions. Good food, excellent service from Miguel, and a much better experience once we got past the initial welcome.

Being a resident I drop in here about every five years and while consistent in their offerings, it also consistently "meh". We brought our pup and the service from Miguel was attentive and helpful even bringing a bowl of water for our pup. The location and ambiance is quiet and intimate (I suggest sitting outside when it's nice) and is much bugger than it looks. Coffee taste like Folgers and while each plate has a lot of ingredients, it doesn't have a lot of taste. We ordered the Lady Litchfield Omelette and breakfast burrito and while generous in portion the irony of the dishes was interesting. The omelette was chock full of veggies and minimal egg to wrap them, the burrito had a ton of egg and tortilla but minimal ingredients to taste. At the End of the Day I just don't feel like the experience warranted the $16+ price tag per meal. I'll come back in five more years and see if anything has changed.

OK, I don't know what's going on here at this location. It's hit or miss whether it's good or bad…read more Lately it's not so good. Today I got seated quickly, even though there were two other couples in front of me. And my drink order was taken very quickly. However, it was very slow from them until after I paid. When my drink came, I almost sent it back. And thinking about it I should have sent it back. Both the water and the iced coffee were in the filthiest plastic glasses. I was literally able to take my thumb and rub the grime off the inside of the glasses. It turns my stomach, thinking the fact that I actually drank my coffee. Let's hope I don't get sick. I pointed this out to the server towards the end and he said yeah, we kind of have a problem. I would say so somebody needs to either polish or scrub or soak in vinegar to get the hard water stains off or something to those glasses and they need to do it regularly because that was just plain disgusting. See pictures. (note the red lines on the picture indicate where I was able to wipe off some of the filth on the plastic glass so that you could see a cleaner area versus the rest of the glass) It felt like it was 20-30 minutes to get my food order taken. And as I told the gentleman when I wanted, he wasn't really listening. He then asked me. Do you want pork or chicken? I had already told him how do you want your eggs cooked? I had already told him. Maybe this is why he's so slow and taking orders because he doesn't listen so takes twice the time to write his order out. The food came fairly fast once it got . I ordered.Tres huervo Rancheros and a side of pancakes. The pancakes were small 3 inch pancakes. How they can charge that much for such small pancakes. SMH. The chips for the rancheros should be thicker because you can't really put anything on them without them breaking apart. I actually asked for a spoon to eat my food because it was getting messy. Luckily, the server saw the problem I was having and brought me a few extra napkins. I think this should be a given that if you're going to provide a dish where this food is literally sliding off the side of the plate, you should bring a stack of napkins. The rancheros was good, but had only 1-1/2 tablespoon tablespoons of meat. It was tasty, but there needed to be more meat. There was actually more sour cream than pork.. After receiving my bill, I got up and went to the front where another patron was waiting to pay. However, there was nobody at the front desk and looking around the restaurant. There was no servers on the restaurant floor at all. One came out for about three seconds and then another one came out for about six seconds and then they both went back to the back. I actually had to walk around to the entrance of the kitchen and tell the people that we need somebody that can check us out. I had a doctors appointment to get to and I shouldn't have to wait for somebody to come up to the register. Also, when did they stop carrying cash? It was ridiculous. I didn't see any signs when I came in and said we don't take cash. They actually had to call a server to come over to give me change from his tips. But he didn't have any coins. So basically, I was unable to get all my money back that I should have. And because he didn't have enough ones I ended up having to get a bigger tip then I would have liked. Maybe this is done so that they can get bigger tips?! I didn't see anything saying digital payments only. It's just kind of ridiculous. I know that there are restaurants out there especially one fast food lovster roll place in particular that doesn't take cash. Everything is digital. I don't go to that restaurant because of that. It's not that I don't use debit cards. It's just that sometimes I have cash that I don't want to have to go put in the bank. So yeah, I don't know what's going on at this village Inn, but the filth on the glasses alone is enough to make me want to never visit again. Even though the rancheros were very tasty.

The Donut Holes were fun, especially with the glaze for dipping. The coffee was okay. I ordered the Florentine Benedict, and while it was good, it was not something I would be raving about afterward. Overall, Haymaker was a solid breakfast/brunch stop. What truly sets Cracker Barrel apart, though, goes far beyond the great food and charming country store. Today, I witnessed something genuinely special. Caydence, one of the amazing and friendly cashiers here, took the time to walk an older gentleman to his car, helped him in, and stayed to make sure he was safely on his way before returning to her duties. It wasn't just the act itself--it was the care behind it. She walked at his pace, engaged him in conversation, and showed a level of patience, respect, and kindness that you don't see every day. Moments like that leave a lasting impression. No matter how long the wait might be, I'll continue bringing my grandson here. The food is consistently delicious, but it's the genuine compassion and human connection that make this place unforgettable. Caydence--thank you for being such a beautiful example of kindness. I can only hope my grandbabies grow up with that same level of heart.

The restaurant itself was clean, including the restrooms, which is always appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite meet expectations. My burger came out with lettuce that was wilted and greasy from the hamburger meat, which took away from the overall taste. My husband ordered the hamburger steak, and while it was cooked, the portion felt small and it lacked flavor. On a positive note, the green side salad was fresh and enjoyable, and the iced tea was just right. Overall, great service and a clean environment, but the food quality needs some improvement to match the experience.
