Cracker Barrel offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that feels like stepping into a country store and homey kitchen all at once. The decor is charming and rustic, filled with antiques that spark nostalgia. We always try to stop by a Cracker Barrel every time we're in Arizona and the food always hits the spot. The food is hearty and satisfying, with classic dishes like chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, and country-fried steak standing out. Their breakfast menu is my favorite --fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and creamy grits served all day! Portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it great for families or casual dining. Service is friendly, though it can get a little slow during peak hours. Our server (I forgot his name) was really chill and had a happy friendly attitude even though he seemed a little slammed. The attached country store is a fun bonus, offering unique snacks, gifts, and nostalgic candy that's hard to resist. Omg, it was so nice seeing candies I grew up with a a kid. It's safe to say, i was like a "kid in a candy store" because i definitely splurged. lol! You will too if you see what they offer! Overall, Cracker Barrel is perfect for anyone craving comfort food and a cozy dining experience. Just be prepared for crowds on weekends!

Two men I know raised on 19th century farm and ranch food enjoy this place immensely. Biscuits, gravy, veggies, chicken fried everything. Plus the supremely entertaining kitsch and candy store. Their friend from Sri Lanka sats, "Awful, worst kind if food. You're not farmers, why DO you eat that way?" It tastes good! That's why.

I ordered fried catfish and the fish was really old and dried out I couldn't tell it was left over

Had the new Shepard Pie dish. I thought it was a little soupy, but the meat pieces were good size and tender. Service was good even as busy as they were. Wife had eggs bacon, hash browns.

Our spread. Everything here is delicious

Ask the Community - Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Has anyone been taking care of the worker's safety with COVID-19? I heard some employees got it, is the restaurant going to close?

It's AZ... What do you think? They'll probably just have them take a shot of Clorox.

The croissants were complimentary, but even then, they were dry and underwhelming. I honestly would've preferred some warm cheddar-baked biscuits with little bits of cheddar throughout, brushed with a little honey butter. Now THAT would've been something! The ambiance didn't impress me either. The one bright spot was our waiter--he was absolutely awesome, attentive, friendly, and gave excellent service. Great waiter, but unfortunately the food and overall experience missed the mark for me.

A Taste of the Bayou Right Here!…read more Walking into Flavors of Louisiana feels like stepping straight into the heart of the South--where the spices are bold, the portions are generous, and every bite carries a story. From the moment I sat down, the warm hospitality made me feel like family, and the aroma of Cajun spices drifting from the kitchen let me know I was in for something special. The Food The star of the show is undeniably the seafood dishes. The crawfish étouffée was rich and velvety, with layers of flavor that only true Louisiana cooking can capture. The seasoning was spot-on--bold without being overpowering, spicy but balanced. The fried catfish was golden perfection: crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. And don't get me started on the gumbo--hearty, smoky, and brimming with soul. Every side dish felt like comfort food elevated. The hush puppies were crisp little bites of heaven, and the dirty rice was so flavorful it could have been a meal on its own. The Experience What I loved most was the authenticity. Nothing felt watered down or rushed--it was food made with love, patience, and pride. The staff checked in often, always with a smile, and you could tell they genuinely cared that you enjoyed not just your meal, but your entire experience. Final Thoughts Flavors of Louisiana isn't just a restaurant--it's an experience. It's the kind of place you come to when you want food that warms your soul and reminds you what real flavor is supposed to taste like. If you've never had authentic Cajun or Creole cooking before, this is the perfect place to start. And if you already love Louisiana cuisine, you'll feel right at home. Authentic. Flavorful. Unforgettable!

(The 3 of us probably made too much noise.) but Eric's makes you feel relaxed and kicked back because the food is the show! It was our first time and there's no rushing you through the order process and they explain how it works, happily. It seems that everyone is humble and makes you feel like this is their love language. My family, the 2 of them had a burger and fries, chicken wings, pulled pork and brisket with Mac n cheese and cole slaw. When I reached the table, they both said the brisket was the best they've ever had! I feel like it's priced right! It's family style, so ordering by the pound makes so much sense. We ordered separately, but we each have good amount of food leftover for a day or two for me. We wanted to try SO many foods. We discussed needing to get the banana pudding next time. We all live downtown Phoenix but coming out to the suburbs for this, was A PERFECT TREAT for a Saturday dinner. My colleague suggested Eric's and WOW, she was SO ON POINT with this suggestion. Her ID had a small dent in it -- still clearly valid -- and instead of handling the situation appropriately, the security guard snapped her ID leaving it almost completely in half. Destroyed it. Then turned her away. That is not only disrespectful, it's completely out of line. Security's job is to verify IDs, not damage personal property. There are proper procedures for questionable IDs, and this was NOT one of them. No apology, no attempt to resolve the situation -- just unnecessary force and a complete lack of basic respect. If this is how they treat people at the door, I can't imagine how the rest of the establishment operates. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else where staff know how to handle situations professionally. I'm just curious - is the security guard now going to pay for her new ID?? This is OUTLANDISH behavior coming from a plain old Jane of a security guard. Clearly he didn't make the cut at the police academy...

I can grab as much white bread as I want, refill my own drink, never have to flag someone down for napkins, and I've had some great conversations with other patrons. The brisket is consistently good, and I always order it moist. The jalapeño cheddar sausage is another favorite, but the baked beans deserve their own mention. They're loaded with bits of shredded pork that add both texture and smoky flavor, making them one of the better barbecue sides around. Rudy's is one of those chains that doesn't feel like a chain.
