We LOVE Waffle House. We came to this location the morning after our wedding night and had blast eating, laughing, relaxing and chatting. We love the small cozy booths and the sort of vintage vibes that Waffle House is known for. Waffle House has a very limited menu but they have their stuff down to a science and they nail it every time. Waffle House Coca-Cola is the best on the planet, whatever ratio their machine is set to is the gold standard of how Cokes should be served. Everything at Waffle House is always fast, delicious and made-to-order. Every location is staffed by the most interesting people you've ever met and I highly encourage you to chat up the employees. Our recommendation: go to Waffle House often, it's 24 hours so any time is an excellent time to rock up and and have a great time. I first pulled up and lady with purple Durag was in the front smoking a cigarette and the cook was dozing off at a table in the corner. Took her about 5 minutes to even get into the building after me and another customer were waiting for to take our order.... Then said they're only doing to-gos cause it's her and one other worker. Which is crazy cause when I used to come all the time with every other worker they didn't mind. The purple durag girl said " they can fight me about the to-gos... Man I was so excited to see there was a Waffle House close by to my house however this was absolutely terrible. My boyfriend and I had Paige as our waitress and she was a mess. My bf ordered the hash browns all the way and it even said so on her ticket she wrote but when he got it there wasn't any chili on it however she still wanted to charge us for it. I tried to tell her to please take it off as we didn't even receive it then she argued but ended up taking 25 cents off. I then told her she needs to take 50 cents off as it says clearly on the menu every topping on the hasbrowns is 50 a piece. We also didn't receive our waffle until we were getting ready to leave and she then told us she "forgot" to put it on even though it was written on her ticket. Then suddenly she changed the total from 23$ to about 28$. Not sure how that happened. Really disappointed in her and her service. Not good is way way to kind of a review. Literally might have food poisoning from rancid spoil rotten $15 steak. On top of that the woman at cash register was so rude and hateful you would have thought i brought the steak and made her eat it! When i told her her of this issue she said "well what do you want i suppose a FREE MEAL?" "Ya NO ABSOLUTely NOT he ate it! I was quick to inform her he took 2 bites 1 of which he immediately spit out on his plate. Her suggestion was 10% discount on meal. Stopped in during the afternoon while on a roadtrip looking for some quick, hot comfort food that Waffle House always provides. This is a location that we have stopped at before. Prompt service upon arrival. Only one lady working who got our drinks, took our order, and proceeded to cook up an amazing spread for us. Everything was perfectly done. Waffle House has a nostalgic and delicious diner menu that I really miss in Chicago. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was prepared and brought out quickly. I'm shocked that anyone has ever given this dump a positive review. First, the seating is limited. There are only a few booths and half of them are jammed together. I really don't need to hear the conversations of everyone in the joint. Second, the service sucks. I don't know where my waitress was from but she needs to go back to the hole from which she emerged. This location was actually not the greatest, I cam in from out of town and wanted to try Waffle House again, but this was a bummer, they have gone down hill so much. This location the staff was friendly but when we had to ask for things. They seemed more interested in talking and texting on their phones and hanging out with friends who came in the not eat or buy anything but just to hang out and go in and out of the restaurant. This place is terrible...The service is good despite the fact that I watched the cook eating with his hands while he was cooking my food. Then there is the food which even though it was served hot my toast was burnt my coffee tasted like it was microwaved from yesterday, and one of my over easy eggs was a little to easy. Flew in early on a Friday morning Mardi Gras weekend and needed to eat somewhere since nothing was really open at 9am. It was pretty much as country as it gets in this location and unfotunately you can still smoke indoors in most places in MO. Being someone who frequents casinos, this didn't affect me as much as my friend who had a headache by the end of the meal. The food was good though, I mean as good as Waffle House can do really. I created a Yelp account literally just to voice how bad this Waffle House is. I wish there was a way to give zero stars. My four friends and I walked in trying to way to split ourselves up and we walk to sit at the side bar by smaller booths and as we walk over the woman behind the counter starts yelling at us asking why we would get a small booth when we could get a big booth and repeatedly asking "how, how, how?" The kind gentleman at the bar (the only customer) offered to let the five of us sit at the bar and the woman continued to say "no they aren't sitting at a high top they hurt my back. You don't try and be a waiter a hate that." He says, embarrassed, "well, I'm sorry". We left immediately. She says loudly again "sit down!" as I reply "we're going to Denny's!" So here we are. My brother-in-law's license plate fell off in the parking lot. A waitress found it and wanted to hold onto it until its owner claimed it.
