    waffle house in richmond, ontario

Leaving Richmond so I decided to stop at Waffle House. It was a Sunday afternoon so I was expecting it to be a little more crowded and it wasn't. Wait time was a little wait to be seated. The menu is reasonable. The waiter was nice. She was very busy but was handling her job and all the stress well. A lot of people called in orders so it was pretty busy inside. The inside of this location is a little snug. My order came out popping hot exactly how I requested my order. No complaints here.

This was my first time in Virginia and I saw so many waffle houses during our drive so I had to check it out! I ordered hash browns, chocolate waffles, and coffee and the total was only $10.00. For the price you pay, the food was amazing. The inside looked like a diner and the staff was very accommodating to our large group. I want to go back!!

    This place is great!

This place is great! The service is good and the food is just delicious! Wesley was our server and he was very attentive and kind! The people cooking the food even say hi to you at the door! Honestly best waffle I've eaten at! Come here is worth it.

We came from out of town to visit family and on our way back home, we decided to stop for breakfast. I had never been to a Waffle House before. This place is really small and there aren't many places to sit. We ended up at the counter. When we first walked in we noticed how hectic and busy the place was. You have a clear view of the staff cooking food and wow were they moving! Our server came over after we had time to look at the menu (not many options) and took our order. I got the Patty Melt Bowl which was what amounted to MAYBE a half of a hamburger patty that was very overcooked and dry over shredded hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were actually pretty good, thankfully. Hubby ordered a simple breakfast of eggs and cheese with grits and toast. When his plate came out I knew he was going to still be hungry after eating! Very small portions for the price. This isn't a location we would ever visit again.

The inside of the store was old school setup with booths and a huge full service bar. 15 minutes within opening, the restaurant was full in capacity. The menu had lots of exciting brunch dishes, appetizers, salads, soups and deli section as well. There were plenty of cocktails, beer and wines choices available too. Prices were decent. I picked the Jewish Sailor that was a combo of toast with pastrami and beef sausage with red onion and mustard. When the dish came, it looked so scrumptious. Loved the flavor of the pastrami, the crunchy sausages, crispy toast bread, coleslaw all of it. I also got to try the pierogis that were delicious as well. The service was good overall. Our waitress was attentive, while managing several tables at the same time. The dishes came out quickly despite being busy. Overall the experience lived up to the expectations.

As an example, they currently have several seasonal lobster dishes. I chose the Organic Bison Huevos Rancheros. Everyone wanted a bite, and everyone agreed it was delicious. I would go back just for that, but there were more good things on the menu to try as well. All the staff were friendly, and our server did an excellent job. It was also clean, pleasant and busy but not uncomfortably so. We'll definitely be back when we're in town again.

A party of two ate well and was satisfied with the amount and quality of our meals. The first meal was steak and eggs. Without prompting I heard how well seasoned the flatiron steak was. The other meal was calf's liver with mushrooms and onions. Two large pieces of bacon was across the dish. It was very good served with a full orders of corn, potatoes and gravy, and veggies. I switched the mixed vegetables for spinach and garlic. Good choice. The spinach was fresh and sauteed with onions. Didn't care for the gravy on potatoes. Can't tell whether the off flavor was the gravy or the potatoes. My surprise was the appetizer. I chose turkey chilli that was so good. It was full body flavor with cooked beans and chopped veggies, which didn't take away from the chilli flavor. It was very good. I could have this for my main meal. So good. The server was adequate, but nothing exceptional.
