What's good Yelp Nation, This has become my wife's and I favorite place to eat when we are playing hookie from work. The food has been great the last two visits. The pancakes are fantastic. If you love real diner pancakes this is the spot. I love thin fluffy pancakes. The French toast is great too. The potatoes are very good and seasoned. They have to change the orange juice and they don't have maple syrup. PLEASE GET MAPLE SYRUP! PLEASE GET FRESH ORANGE JUICE! The service has been great both times we have been to the restaurant. The food comes to your table fast. The ambiance is great a very relaxing vibe. This place is perfect for the family or a date.

Food here is absolutely great! The team in the kitchen is on point, something about it makes it feel family-owned, regardless of whether it is or not. The restaurant stays busy but the servers stay on top of it, and the place always looks clean and tidy. Great team all around.

Greek Scrambler - delicious, with 2 pieces of rye and grits.

Food was delicious and atmosphere was lively and upbeat. Portions were decent and we left full, content and ready to start our day!

Eggs Up Grill has quickly become one of my favorite places to grab brunch locally!! My family and I have tried almost everything on the menu with our favorites being the eggs Benedict!! The staff is always so friendly and eager to please. Check them out.

The worst waffle ever. This is what happened when I tried to add butter. This is the second waffle they attempted to bring me

The food came out fast but that's because everything was burnt to death. The back and somehow the waffle. The bacon was replaced and edible but the second waffle looked just as horrible as the first. The waitress was nice but didn't offer any alternative (biscuits, pancakes, something!). She did comp my bill but I left almost as hungry as I went in. I could've had better food at McDonald's .

Food was delicious. I got the Melty Cristo sandwich with fries (comes with a spicy honey drizzle sauce) and hubby got the Cheesesteak Melt with home fries. My sandwich melt was good, although if I were to order it again I would probably ask that they only put turkey on it instead of both ham and turkey since the ham was already thick enough. Hubby said the Cheesesteak melt was wonderfully delicious and he would definitely get it again! (Boston cream donuts to-go) -delicious! Service was great. We went around 11:00 am. So the morning rush had died down but there was still a fair amount of people inside.

The food was ok. The service was excellent, top notch at best. And the restaurant was pleasantly mild toned. Just a normal Sunday morning having breakfast at a new place. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese, and they were a little under cooked. My bacon was under cooked as well. My potatoes were good, and my pancakes were a bit on the thin side. You would just have to go and try for yourself. The menu is bigger than expected being that they offer breakfast and brunch for the time they are open. Don't take my word for it, go try them.

I had a craving for eggs. This looked like just the place to satisfy. I had the Founder's Hash Benedict. Fluffy poached eggs over corned beef and English muffin. The hollandaise was not to buttery to over power the eggs. Add their famous home fries and you have a great start to your day. Brittany's smile was the topper. The restaurant is bright and airy. I plan to come back, the menu had so much to choose from.

Eggs Up Grill is a very cozy place to grab some breakfast. We went after my youngest son performed with the youth orchestra group at St Paul's Baptist Church. The food was filling and there are plenty of options to choose from. I was impressed with the different options of tea they had available too. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and you can tell she actually eats there. I'll definitely be going back to try different things they have to offer.

To those of you who rated 1 star. You have some issues. My fiancé and I traveled from Illinois to visit family. We got hungry the morning of our drive back and seen this nifty place. Highly recommend. Great hospitality. Great cooking. Great Christmas music. Great vibes. Highly recommend. This IS my happy place

If you just order the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, you're only gonna get that and bacon or sausage..

Took a second to be seated, but aside from that, great service! Abby was very attentive and polite.. Food didn't disappoint, I got French toast and added a few eggs (which you'd kinda think came with it) and I have no complaints.. Definitely a family setting, with plenty of space!

Eggs up grill was truly a delight to experience. My boyfriend and I arrived at 10am on a Sunday and had our food by 10:15am. Excellent service and staff were super nice! We started off with the Cinnamon Caramel Latte which mostly tasted like milk with cinnamon in it. I probably would not get again, however the French Vanilla latte was really good! The best part of our two dishes was the Philly Cheesesteak Omelette with pepper-jack cheese. It was very flavorful and we're still thinking about it the next day. The pancakes were average but the eggs scrambled with cheese was perfection. The environment was very clean so that was a plus as well. I'll definitely be back to explore their menu a bit more.

This is an overpriced waffle house. The food was not good. Clearly employees work there because they need it not because they are happy.

Several times, Joshua has waited our table and his service is so commendable that we have personally requested him when we've returned. However, our experience at the bar tonight was actually what spawned this review. Honestly, I should have left a 5-star review ages ago. But this bar experience lit a fire under me to take the time to type something up. First off, Charred's posted closing time is 10PM. My wife and I got there around 9:35 and we felt guilty for doing so. The bartender (Emily) took our drink and food orders and never said a thing like what you hear at a lot of places when you show up late, like "our kitchen is closed" or "last call is in 10 minutes". No, she made us feel like we had arrived with impeccable timing. I even asked if we were putting her out at all and she assured us we could stay as long as we wanted. Our food arrived and was wonderful, as always. A little after 10PM, another bartender (Lauren) asked us if we wanted another drink. It was already after close and we were the next to last customers in the place. She assured me that it was fine to stay as long as we needed to, so I went ahead and ordered another beer. By this time, we were the only customers left in the entire restaurant. There were still plenty of kitchen workers and wait staff working diligently to prepare for close, but not one person seemed like they were in any hurry for us to leave. Here's the best part: although my final beer order was the last sale of the day, both bartenders (Emily and Lauren) worked together to ensure that my beer was poured perfectly. I'm not kidding, Lauren initially poured the beer and then Emily came over and assisted her with ensuring that the pour was correct. No one likes an inch of head on a draft beer. These ladies got it 100% right, and I complimented them on it. While we were the LAST customers in the place, they treated us like we were the most important customers of the day! Folks, you cannot put a price tag on that. Employees like this are hard to find and even harder to keep. Charred has won our patronage for years to come. This is a restaurant/bar that knows how to hire and train employees who will deliver a magnificent experience. Well done!

I should have, It's the usual sports bar vibe. Lots of TVs are tuned to different games. The menu has the usual bar food--wings, burgers, etc. The food is underwhelming. I ordered mild buffalo wings and fries. My wife orders nachos. The fries and wings come out a little overcooked, but that wasn't the real issue. The wings come out nearly unsauced. The buffalo wing sauce is served as a dipping sauce because, I am told, the sauce "falls off" the wings into the dish, so they give you extra to dip. Huh? Yep, there is a puddle of sauce under the wings. The sauce appears to have indeed fallen off. I have eaten A LOT of wings in my time. Never once has anyone said the sauce falls off. While I did not deeply analyze the problem, I feel confident that the issue is that the kitchen is just doing it wrong. Be that as it may, this may be a blessing in disguise because the sauce is wretched. The wings that are unsauced are dramatically better than using the sauce, even if they are a little overdone--edible and OK, just a little too long in the fryer. The fries have the same issue. Too long in the fryer. It goes beyond crisp to unpleasant. Again, edible, but not great. My wife's nachos were also OK. Nothing particularly special or good. Slightly below par. We don't give up, though--although we should. We ordered the funnel fries dessert which is funnel cake fries covered in powdered sugar and served with a chocolate dipping sauce. Like the other fried food, this comes out overcooked--some of the fries are so overcooked they crunch like a cracker. And the chocolate sauce could put me off chocolate permanently. It is bitter and nasty. When we mention to the server that they are overdone, she says, "Sorry," and wanders off. I give it two stars because we did eat the food, but the kitchen is clueless, the service is indifferent, and the fact that the place was empty on what was a strong sports night may indicate I am not alone in how I view it. I doubt we will return.
