Sometimes the best stops are the unplanned ones. A quick GPS search off the interstate led us straight to it. Shopping center with ample parking and an ABC store nearby for good measure. Walking in felt easy. Bright and straightforward from the door with a cold fridge right at the register filled with ready to grab chicken salad and pimento cheese options. The staff at the register was friendly and ready to go. I ordered the Olivia's Old South one scoop meal with grape salad and a mac and cheese cup. My brother ordered the melt sandwich on croissant. A short wait on a bench near the register and the food was ready to go. The sandwich was served warm and easy to eat while traveling. When I got home and opened the bag there was a generous amount of crackers tucked in to go with the chicken salad. A nice surprise. The cookie added to the container was a thoughtful touch and pretty tasty for sure. On to the chicken salad. The buffalo tasted just like a buffalo chicken dip. The jalapeño holly was a great play on the traditional with just the right kick. The Olivia's Old South with eggs and relish was the move if you want something more traditional in flavor. All three were good and worth trying. The mac and cheese was decent but not the best I have ever had. I will opt for the soup next time because I was dying to try it. One honest critique. The container did not hold up in the fridge. It got soggy which in turn made the chicken salad, pickle, and grape salad soggy as well. It was not edible and I had to toss it. Disappointing because fresh it was so good. The containers were not my friend on this one. Whether you are sitting down or grabbing and going the setup works either way. Quick enough for takeout but spacious enough to sit down while the friendly staff brings your order out when ready. TikTok put it on our radar and Chicken Salad Chick made sure we will be back. A table worth venturing to wherever you find one.

The inside looked like most Noodles and Company. Since his flight was delayed, I enjoyed my pasta in their outdoor patio. I really loved this outdoor seating. I am not sure if I just haven't been in a while, but the mac this time was ok. I usually order a small and went for the regular size so maybe this is why the sauce didn't feel as generous as usual.
