The people that work here are lazy and rude (IMHO). I waited a long time for someone to take my order, which never happened. There were at least three employees behind the counter and no one made eye contact or spoke to me. I left and went to a neighboring restaurant. read more

On our way to DC we needed to eat so we decided on Wendy's and also to stretch some. The parking lot of the whole shopping center is completely disorganized. I'm not sure if this was always like this or because of construction but we had to find openings everywhere. They were a little busy with 2 small groups in front of us. The older lady who took our order was nice enough but could have been a little more pleasant. They completely messed our order up. No worries though, they made it right with all apologizes. The dining room was clean. If they weren't so nice and apologetic about our messed up order I would have given them a 1 or 2 start review. read more

Front staff if any are lazy and no sense of urgency or customer service. Two times in the past week they either were closed because they didn't have enough staff or they closed the inside because their carpet was wet. No staff would come to the door to tell me read more

The employee at the register was nice and attentive. Everyone seemed to be happy with their orders. It was overall a good experience. The food was hot and made exactly how I ordered it. read more

Never going to this Wendy's again. I thought I learned my lesson a long time ago but last night was the icing on the cake. They need to get rid of that owner because they only hire kids with disobedience problems who don't want to work. read more

I would give it minus five! Employees have a TERRIBLE attitude. They are either arguing or it's total chaos. I've been to the Mechanicsville Wendy's five or six times thinking it's got to be better but it is consistently bad! The last time I had to throw my breakfast sandwich away because it was cold and stale and uneatable. Wonder where they find these flunkys they hire because they are scraping the bottom of the barrel. I've been to other Wendy's and have had generally good experiences. i looked at other reviews and you would think that corporate would do something about that shit show. read more

rude as could be, drinks had no ice, food is missing toppings and fries were ice cold, waited 15 minutes at the window for sad food and employees were rude. and they were out of frosties. will be calling corporate. read more

The ladies room at 3 in the afternoon was disgusting. Shoes stuck to entirety of the floor. Toilet had diarrhea spray all over. The toilet had a horrible ring and sink had scum as well. The mirror looks like it is wiped with toilet rag and the towel dispenser hand sensor was so dirty it didn't know your hands were under it. Sorry, I can't tell you anything about the food because I don't eat at places with filthy bathrooms. read more

Hopped on over to Wendy's after going to the annual Festival of the Arts and Sciences at Lee Davis High School. It was quite busy for 2 ish in the afternoon, and poorly staffed. The guy taking orders just stood there looking at us and never asked to take our order. Awkward. They must have been having some issues because while we were waiting, a few people had come in to get items that were forgotten in drive-thru orders. Visually, this Wendy's location needs a major renovation. They do not even have their full menu posted, but they have their dessert menu twice. The chairs and tables are very old and worn. It was clean in the dining room but not so much at the condiments area. Food was good though and tasted fresh. I would just stick to the drive through if in a hurry. read more

Covid review: full disclosure I haven't eaten at Wendy's for years. Today curious got the best of me and I decided to swing by and check out the new Fish sandwich during my lunch break. I was hoping to run thru the drive thru order and pay for my meal and run home to log into my next Zoom meeting! Well curiosity not only liked the cast but it killed my lunch break! First of the Drive they was not open. Instead of putting a sign up signally that the drive thru was closed they let the customers wait in a line to get told they had to come inside. Instead of driving off I decided to go inside. The employees were wearing mask but they were not covering their noses. Against my better judgement I ordered the Panko fish sandwich and a peach lemon aid. I was quoted a 3 minute wait time for the fish to cook but it took closer to 10minutes. Was it worth the wait?? Heck no!! My fries were cold, my sandwich was bland and my lemonade tasted like diabetes!! Put it this way I would've had better results ordering lunch out of a dumpster from a trash panda!! Besides the food being bad the service was terrible the manager ignored the questions about the drive thru and wasn't wearing gloves! Save your time, your money and your dignity and eat somewhere else!! read more

Seemed to be short of help, for sure. the person (Jada) did not get the order right. She May have put the order in right, and if she did it was prepared wrong. The four people there seemed to be working fast that may have part of the problem on our order. I ordered the double cheeseburger lettuce tomato and mayo. When I got home it had Pickles, Onion on it without Mayo. When we lived in Nebraska Wendy's was our first choice. Met Dave and Windy at the grand opening! The counter where they set orders for pickup was so dirty with food stains I ask to have a tray handed to me to avoid setting in my car, Please get it in shape so when we go back if there is a next time it is the Wendy's we use to love! I will let you know when and if we go back, if it better, or not. Bob M read more

customer service is terrible, no patience, and extremely rude! Never been to such a bad Wendy's

I just had the most Amazing experience at the drive thru. I'm in line, watching an employee taking meals to customers cars, & as I get to the window, she, Bree, just paid for my Frosty. Have You Ever? What a sweetheart! read more

This Wendy's is pure shit. Avoid at ALL cost. EVERY TIME I try to get food from them there is a PROBLEM. EVERY DAMN TIME. Systems down, Can't take cards out of this and that. Every excuse imaginable not to serve a customer. They should just close this location down, level it and build something else. This is a waste of space. read more

If I could give less stars I would. This Wendy's is the absolute worse Wendy's I have ever been too. Staff needs to be replaced or just shut this one down completely. Food is nasty just like their attitudes. I'll drive to another Wendy's before I'll ever step foot in this one. How do you mess up fast food so bad. read more

The person who waited on me was really pleasant. Unfortunately, I took my salad home and couldn't eat it because there were multiple hairs in it. The weather is bad and I don't want to go back so I guess I am out $8. read more

Wendy's - a view of a gas station from inside a car - Fast Food Near Me - Mechanicsville, Virginia

You can't trust every Wendy's, but you can trust this Wendy's. In the past few days I've been twice and each time the food came out fresh and in a timely manner (shocking for a Wendy's in 2021!). The second time they messed up our sandwich (honestly probably due to communicating through masks) but they fixed the sandwich nice and quick. There may be hope for Wendy's in the richmond area yet! read more

0 stars. This location deserves to be demolished. Ive maybe been to this location 4 times over the past 3 years, every time staff failed to give me food, failed to get food right, and made absolute asses of themselves. This place needs to be torn down. read more

At 10:20 am Sunday, they were clearly open and I saw employees inside but couldn't get anyone at the drive thru. So I parked and went to the door, locked. Girl saw me and walked on as though she didn't. Tried calling as website says "open" and no answer. How is this place in business? read more

Ordered a chicken sandwich from them last night and they clearly rushed it because I woke up this morning with food poisoning. Completely unacceptable. Why have me pull over to the side to wait for my food to be cooked if you're still going to serve it to me undercooked? I had horrible abdominal pain and yes, I threw up, read more

Always out of whatever we want whether is salads, drinks, frosty, chicken it's ridiculous

Well well....Wendys...you disappoint me...walking in there is a line and only one register open. It looks a bit understaffed today and the guy behind the counter did not even ask if he could take our order..he just looked and didnt say a word...i ordered a combo meal, large and was informed they do not have large cup....so your out of large cups, or you do not offer large...i was not offered an explanation..just no large cups...so it was a medium i got....a few people in the line just left...it was so slow...and it takes forever to get a refill...come on Wendy's...tighten up....i think they need to open more locations....i like the food, but service is horrible read more

Food is fine. Restaurant is clean enough. However, the service is absolutely terrible. It seems that none of the employees want to be there. There is absolutely ZERO hustle. I'd say it's a bunch of teenagers, but it's not. It grown adults. I have never seen a business have so much hate and contempt for their customers. Wendy's Is already as expensive as Chic-Filet, but the service is worse than McDonald's. read more

If I could get by without giving stars at all, I would for this place. It's horrific. My husband and I were in there yesterday and with only 1 person in front of us, it took some time. One of the employees came up from the back and interrupted my husband while ordering and threw trays onto the counter. They are so unpleasant and never are friendly. My husband thought it would be quicker two weeks ago to go through drive-thru and with only a couple cars in front of him, it took 20 minutes to just order. Service is ridiculously slow Update... went back tonight and it's even slower than the last time. the cashier at the front looks and acts like she doesn't want to be there and it's reflected in the service she gives. read more

Dirty, dumb and lazy. Will never go back. Asked for my money back and left. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible service. Workers carrying on personal conversations while customers wait a ridiculously long time. A customer came in with an incorrect order...it took them three attempts to get it right (and it was not complicated). read more

Gotta love a wrap made without lettuce..... total sarcasm. This Wendy's is a total flop, every time the whole order is messed up. Like I just want to know what's going on in there. This is absolutely hysterical!! I wish they just told customers they don't serve spicy nuggets instead of just giving them regular every time. Maybe it's just me, but I've never had the spicy nuggets since they came back due to the fact that this Wendy's can't get my order right. I'll take my money 15 minutes to the Wendy's near Rutland and Kroger on atlee rd. They will have my order right and food hot under 20 minutes. Thanks for not even trying mechanicsville Wendy's if I could give a zero I would be happy to read more

Wendy's - Spicy Chicken Go Wrap - Fast Food Near Me - Mechanicsville, Virginia

Another slow food joint. Orders are never correct, the place is filthy, and the employees couldn't care less! Went there last week through the drive thru window. It took 35 minutes and I made the mistake of not checking the order and everything ended up being wrong! I have been to many Wendy's restaurants over the years, but continuously this is by far the worst I have ever experienced! read more

Not many people write positive reviews these days, so I'm going to try to do better about that. Fast food establishments are having a hard time in recent months and customer service has been lacking. It really doesn't take much, just a little kindness and a smile. I appreciate you! read more

This place is terrible I used to work here and they fired me... They said I wasn't catching fast enough on top of that the mangers are sloppy One of the mangers grabbed a hamburger patty with no gloves on and ripped it from a burger a customer returned! on top of that she would pass gas, and complain about the customs all the time she would yell at us.. Some times my co workers would steal some of the customers fries, or reach into the fries underneath the light and shove some into their mouths they even ate some chicken nuggets... Poor establishment I'm glad to not work there anymore they weren't giving me enough hours either..if you're not loud like them they pretend to like you and say it's okay but then they turn around a fire you because you're quiet and don't fit in. Stopped by on Sept 02, 2018 in Mechanicsville the cashier after being told 3 times still could not get my order right. The manager came out told him what I had order and still did not get it right. 2 other people came up their orders were also wrong. People waiting in line watched while people were sending their food back because it was wrong and they walked out. These people need to get their act together and hire people who actually want to work. Never going back again disgusting read more

Food is overall no better or worse than any other Wendy's, but is noticeably sketchier at night. I've had a lot of order accuracy issues here, so if you're at the drive thru, check and re-check your order before you drive off. They are too worried about trying to make their service times look artificially good and have long since lost focus on food quality or order accuracy. Don't believe me? If you're here at night, you'll see them waving a large metal pan out the second window to activate the sensor on the service timer to make it look like you have already received your food and driven away, but you've only just ordered. Fries are consistently awful, but I think that's by design. read more

This particular Wendy's is awful. The owner/operator should be ashamed of this location. Poorly staffed. The staff that is there seems poorly trained. Long wait for service/food. Fries here are awful. Nowhere near Wendy's quality. Last time I was there some people got tired of waiting and left. Sad part about it they weren't that busy. Not many customers. read more
