We were visiting the area, and this was our first experience at a Waffle House. In my opinion, this is breakfast done right. The service was excellent, and the food was prepared perfectly--all at a fair price. I ordered a classic breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns (smothered and peppered), bacon, and a blueberry waffle. Best Waffle House we have been to. They were crazy-busy but had an abundance of staff and tables turned over quickly. They had a hostess to manage the wait and top notch managers and staff. The menu had a new cheesesteak option which was really good and we were offered biscuits or toast, which is new (or not custom at our local WH). Dinner was terrible at the Waffle House across from Florabamma. We walked in and found two tables that where clean, the rest had dirty dishes on them. They had 2 cooks and 2 servers when we got there and There was 2 other tables with people eating. It took awhile for anyone to help us, which she was very nice. While we waited on our food we watched people come in, sit down, and nobody greeted them, not even a hi how ya doing, head nod, Nothing. So they got up and left. This went on for 45 minutes! One of the servers eventually put high chairs in front of 1/2 the tables so nobody could sit there. At the time that we got our food there where no other customers in the restaurant. It's Waffle House so it is a huge chain and the food is basic mediocre. The bonus is that they are open 24/7 so when you stumble out of Flora-Bama in the wee hours of the AM you can find yourself a snack before you head off to home nappy time or in the olden days to The Keg for more fun. Some people even seem to take wee little baby naps around the exterior of the building as they wait for a Taxi... but wait there's more as quite a few taxis often wait in the parking lot here offering their services so this is a great spot to get a taxi. read more

My family and I had an experience with an extremely rude employee. Yes, we understand that Corona is still a thing. However, there are six of us that live together and have been quarantined TOGETHER. We were told by an establishment that we would have to sit max four to a table. This would have been fine, had any of the other tables been clean and we hadn't been snapped at. But even trying to sit at the other tables didn't work out because of the rudeness we were faced with so we up and LEFT. Thankfully we found a different waffle house where the staff were much kinder and though we still were not able to eat there as a group of six, it was a much nicer refusal with proper reasoning. read more

The Eggs and Pork Chops were a great start to the day. I would have even given four stars had they not overcooked my has browns and missed the "DRY WHITE" part of my toast order. It's not difficult to follow instructions. ..why ask what you want...like cheese...no cheese.... jalapeños or not... then the cook walks out totally pissed off not sure at us for having them remake it or at the waitress for letting him know he was making it wrong.
