I was a member at Lost Key Golf Club for over a year. I received military orders to move to a new…read morelocation so I talked to John at the pro shop and then Ricky who I was told could cancel my membership. When I spoke with Ricky he said that he had canceled it and nothing else was needed. Come a few months down the road of me not even being in Pensacola I realized I was still being charged for the membership. I was put in contact with Mike Troyner, the general manager. He has now said that they will not refund me without written proof even though I played my last round there before I canceled and provided them with my orders dated for that next month. This is a course that takes advantage of its members and other golfers. The whole clubhouse should be fired and restaffed with people that actually know how to run a golf club.

Rental clubs are affordable and you have tiered choices to make. They have a 9 hole on side of the street that is poorly maintained and perhaps aptly described as a goat ranch with diseased patchy greens. But this is where you take newbies who are learning and youngsters who can't appreciate better conditions. We did that the first day. The 2d day, my 13 and 16 year olds I played 18 of 27 holes on the other side across from the main clubhouse. Great course with scenic views! Lunch is affordable and tasty. We'll be back next year for spring break. There are a couple of spots where you can just grip and rip a ball out in the water....in theory. Not saying we did it.

They also have a decent range and putting green, bucket will run you around $6.50. The back nine could use more attention, a handful of greens were patchy and lumpy. The cart path could use some love as well, and it wouldn't hurt to put numbers in the tee off area. Worth checking out, I enjoyed my golf experience here and plan to go back. The course itself is more like a 3.5 star rating, but the experience bumps them up to a solid 4.
