This place isn't that bad. Been a while since I've been to one and it appears that they have improved overall. The menu is large and meals can be customized to your liking. I had a basic American breakfast with eggs, bacon, etc. Everything was cooked very well. Coffee was good too. The vibe was typical moderately loud diners style. There isn't a lot of seating, but this is typical for Waffle House. It was adequate for the Friday crowd that was there. Could be a small wait. Service was prompt and friendly. Yup, another Waffle House review. Lol. But this one has a little extra! Ok. So for those that don't know I have been going to Waffle House for over 30 years. And never have I ever been told that I need to order my food first before getting a cup of coffee to drink first. This was the first. BUT it seems this is actually the policy. Just not enforced. It really threw me off but kudos to the manager and staff. They handled my loss of chi well and explained to me about policy and even showed me on their check order sheet that it's even printed there for all to follow. It's just that most do not follow this policy. Sooo me being me placed a complaint with corporate and guess what they called me the very next day, district manager and we chatted about it. To be honest if most employees and stores are not following it, then just stop it. It's kind of messing with peoples mojo. lol. BUT, the folks were awesome the place was clean and as usually welcoming. Food was good hot and very yummy. I was leaving Orlando the other day and I wanted to get a breakfast sandwich. I hadn't been to a Waffle House in years so I figured it was time. As I checked out of my hotel I was able to go on their website and order the food to go. They had a few variations but in general the breakfast sandwich was straight forward. I decided to get hashbrowns and that is a bit more work. Waffle House is known for adding anything and everything to their potatoes and I'm always up for that. I think I got smothered, covered, and a couple other things too(onions, cheese, tomatoes and such). I walked in expecting a madhouse, as often I have seen at such breakfast diners. I seemed to catch them at a sane hour though. No line, so I was helped pretty quickly. I don't know if its jut this location but it was much cleaner and brighter than I remembered. And there didn't seem to be a smoking section(Waffle House had been known for that too), so it was nice all around. I came in this restaurant in December and sat at the counter. I was abruptly asked do I know what I was having and silverware slammed down in front of me. I opened the silverware and asked for coffee and a menu. The silverware was dirty and I asked a clean set. The very rude staff member snatched the silverware out of my hand scratching me with her fingernail. I alerted her that she scratched me and she wanted to argue so I asked the manager on duty to review the camera footage. He did and came to me and apologized for her behavior and said that it would definitely be addressed with her. I decided to stop in again today for breakfast and when I sat down the same rude women said "oh I ain't taking her". I chose not to eat at this establishment and will never return here again. On our first day in Orlando, we woke up California time. We did not have any serious agenda for the day. By the time we were ready to head out it was already Noon. We yelped and stopped at Waffle House to cross it off of our checklist. Service was super friendly and nice. When we inquired into their holiday times the sweet employee replied "We are open 24/7. We never shut down honey. Not even for a ... Hurricane". It was funny the way she put it and her Southern charm and accent brought big smiles from the Mrs. and I. She brought Ian's food immediately after the chef prepared it. She refilled the Mrs. coffee couple of times. She wished us Merry Christmas when she brought our check out. After she brought our food she checked back a minute later. She goes "Your Hashbrowns are missing something". She took the plate, and had the chef put chili on the Hashbrowns, then brought it back and apologized for the mistake. Super attentive! (+2) We ordered the following Kids Waffle with Bacon and chocolate milk. Grits Coffee Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt Single Hashbrown with Sauteed onions, Jalapenos and Bert's chili as toppings. Total with tax was $21.20. Ian and I were stuffed. Portions are very generous for the price. (+1) Texas Cheesesteak melt was delicious. Ian liked the sandwich as well and told the sandwich at one point "Come to papa" *Laughs* Hashbrown with all the toppings was unique and it made for good eats. We absolutely love having our Sunday brunch here now on a regular basis thanks to the amazing service and team of Mr. Israel. The second you walk in he greets you with a warm smile, he goes from table to table to check on his guests. This place is never short of laughter, friendliness, and a warm speedy service. Stopped in here for breakfast before hitting the Turnpike south back to Miami. Had such a pleasant experience here, and the breakfast food was good too! Very welcoming and friendly staff. Service was fast and exceptional. First thing that caught my eye on the menu was the hash brown bowl! Hash browns with two scrambled eggs, cheese and sausage. I always tend to wish that my eggs and hash browns would come in a bowl so I can enjoy everything together in one bite so this was a major plus. My significant other got the 2 egg breakfast with hash browns, toast and city ham. Served with fresh hot coffee for under $10. Food came out quick and hot and delicious. There was nothing open on 9/29/22 after hurricane Ian came through this part of Orlando. The roads are flooded, debris everywhere, still raining/windy. Drove down the street from our motel, and this Waffle House was open. The line was out of the door, and this staff remained courteous, and quick! The food was good, but I recommend it on the staff alone. They only stayed open until 4, but they were serving back to back orders. It was so appreciated, as I needed to make sure my 8 year old had something to eat. I won't forget it. read more

This place can get packed on Sunday mornings but boy do I love their breakfast! I tend to usually get their "All Star" meal which comes with a big waffle that takes over your plate, eggs, bacon or sausage, toast and grits with coffee! It's less than $10 and that to me is an awesome price! You can see the employees make your food and you'll notice that everything is made fresh! The waiters are always friendly and very accommodating. I have been coming here for the past month probably and don't get tired of it lol. My food was undercooked and took way too long to receive considering the place was basically empty.
