All Star Breakfast (Bacon not pictured)
    Gretchen S.

I really like this location. Honestly, this Waffle House has changed my opinion of the chain. I've been here twice for take out and the meal was not mediocre, it was great! They do an excellent breakfast for one of the best deals around. I usually get the All Star Breakfast with a plain waffle (I think it's sweet enough, so I just eat it with butter), a biscuit instead of the toast, two eggs over-easy, bacon, and hash browns with onions, cheese, ham, mushrooms, and country gravy. Both times I've ordered from this location they've gotten everything right, didn't forget anything, and usually are generous with the gravy, which I love. I recommend phoning ahead especially with this quarantine. Great place for a filling breakfast at an affordable cost.

They're hard at work making yummy food!

I've been to this location twice. The first time, we had a waitress named Michelle and she was as nice as could be. The second time, we had Wanda and she's a hoot! I asked them for extra done bacon, almost burnt, and the cooks delivered on that request perfectly both times. The coffee was good and strong. They have heavy plastic dividers between each booth. It's extremely loud during busy times!

The sausage biscuit with a patty so small it only covered half of the biscuit. What a rip off!

The burger is quite substantial, with a 7-ounce patty and a generous side. I left completely full, and the entire meal was only about $15. These days, that's a great price for lunch, especially considering both the quality and amount of food. More importantly, the burger was absolutely delicious. It came on a fantastic brioche bun that was perfectly toasted, and all of the toppings tasted fresh. I especially appreciated the little details. The green leaf lettuce was crisp, the onion was sliced very thin so that it complemented the burger without overpowering it, and the tomato was fresh and juicy. Everything worked together really well. The burger patty itself was the highlight. It was lightly seasoned and relatively thin for a 7-ounce patty, with a slightly crispy exterior that reminded me of a smashburger. Getting that kind of crust on a patty this size is unusual, but they pulled it off beautifully. It added great texture and flavor while the burger remained substantial and filling. Overall, this was a fantastic burger at a great value. Anytime I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back.

Because it's not a big menu with a ton of choices, but just enough different types of foods to give something for everyone - whether it's seafood or chicken, pasta, or meatloaf - it's just good food with interesting sauces. We had the grilled chicken sandwich and meatball sub, both tasting each other's and loving them. The only complaint is they seem to close after lunch for a few hours before dinner. If they stayed open continuously, they might get more business because I think the food is just too good for them to not constantly be crowded. The decor is clearly not what you're there for and the seats are just uncomfortable enough to discourage a leisurely meal (read: turn the tables over often); kind of a shame because if they stayed open continuously through dinner, had more comfortable seats, and less rundown looking interior they could actually attract a lot of business and stay very busy. Maybe they should try signing up with GrubHub, DoorDash or UberEats. Then you get to experience their terrific food at home. Looking forward to going back.

It was so good that I ended up going back on another day, about a week later. It was relatively quiet for a weekday lunch hour if you want to compare to other places that are open for lunch hour. That meant to me that the chef who is also the owner probably could spend more time to prepare the dishes ordered. I ordered the fried Oysters Po'Boy with fries and an iced tea. Didn't take too long for the meal to come out. I cut the Po'Boy in half and the Oysters were large. The bread was nice and soft, not hard and crunchy like bread can be for a Po'Boy. Fries were nicely done, not too crisp but not soggy and greasy. Had seasoning sprinkled on them, but not overwhelming. Just right. After I finished my sandwich, I was wondering about dessert and just as I was going to ask, my waiter, Chris came up to the table with the choices of dessert. I wanted something light, so I picked the chocolate pie. It was a good sized piece that came with some whipped cream on the side garnished with a strawberry. Nice and creamy and not overly sweet. Hit the spot! I will be back again because it's got a nice cozy homestyle atmosphere. May have to try the weekend brunch.

A decent size parking lot, a round-robin of customers & I spoke to a few who are repeats- they love it! The restaurant is clean & organized- booths & tables. Charging stations (plugs) available as well. Walk up counter, place order, wait for your number to be called. Do not be in a rush- made-to-order!! Worth the wait!!! If you are not starving- split a meal with a friend- portions are huge & truly DELICIOUS!!! Ask for sauces, if you want. They have tartare, cocktail & homemade hot sauces. Fresh lemons too. Pepsi products, sweet/unsweetened tea... NO ALCOHOL! Outstanding employees! All so nice! Big menu- ask for one if needed, they have scrolling screens & it is hard to figure out. Menu is best to figure out what you want. Literally EVERYTHING was SO fresh & delicious!!! Mom thought salty, so maybe ask for light/no salt if this is a dietary restriction. They have fresh & fried options. Here are pics of our meals. All left with to-go's. Note, meals are served in to-go containers, not actual plates. The music is fun but WAY WAY WAY too loud. Heads up. I'd truly go back if in town. What an unexpected treat for dad's birthday. He was HAPPY!
