Chose Waffle House in memory of my brother. It was his favorite breakfast spot. Looking at the menu I couldn't decide. Finally decided on a BLT with eggs another memory of my dad used to make those every Saturday. The sandwich was perfect. A great meal this morning at Waffle House. Much better COVID than last time with plexiglass partitions hanging from the ceilings to separate the tables and better separation of the counter seats. Of course, all of the crew were wearing their masks and customers were expected to wear them as well. No condiments on the table, request only. And after someone else left, I saw the ketchup bottle wiped down. Mrs. K. got her waffle and grits this morning and enjoyed them both. Cooked properly with a fluffy center and crispy brown exterior. The grits were salty and hot and firm. Perfect. Me, I had eggs and hash browns. I finally remembered to get the chili on the hash browns and it was delicious. I'm on vacation, so no keto diet this weekend and I'll know about it for the next week or so with weight loss on hold. But that's okay. It was a great breakfast and I enjoyed it. Crazy Busy ! I was here back in September on vacation and just remembered I forgot to do my review . I live in Las Vegas , so no Waffle House there , so this is a treat for me whenever I visit the Carolinas . I went to another location first and there were people out the door . I came to this one and almost the same , but I did get to wait inside and have a seat . I was by myself and finally got a spot at the counter with another Veteran and we both kind of cleaned up our spot since the ladies were sooo busy . The food was good as always , but I was surprised that this location doesn't give a Veteran's Discount . I only spent $11 , so the discount would have only been like a dollar . No big deal because I was there for the food , not the discount . I got the All Star Special with Grits , Eggs , Waffle , Ham , Toast , and Coffee . All good and I only waited a few minutes for the food even though they were busy . It did take a little for the both of us to order though . They had lots of staff , but it was just overwhelming . Being from NYC we don't have a Waffle House (not that I'm aware of any ) but it was such a pleasant experience. The establishment was small but clean and they were pretty quick in service, especially in the morning. It's a breakfast chain mostly found south of I-95. The customer service were pleasant, welcoming and friendly. While we did wait the Manager Virginia asked if we wanted coffee from the coffee la carte. I'm not sure if this location is just bad, but it Ruined this brand enough for me where I will not look at a Waffle House for food for at the very least a year or two. We are flight attendants for a major airline and decided to stop to this Waffle House because it was close (one of the crew referred us here) The food was delicious and Megan was excellent!!! (She kept the flow of the restaurant under a smooth, but firm direction. She was very motivating that even if the staff made a mistake she was Supportive in giving them feedback, the dances with them to the music that was on also. This is how it should be run! I wish the steak would have been grilled more. It kind of looked boiled. My friend ordered a burger and a waffle on the side. When she received her order she was given a hamburger patty on a plate. She was not impressed. They took it back and put it between dry buns. It was not very good. The waffle was not nice and brown.
