Just wrapped filming a commercial and was heading out to shoot a movie when I stopped at this Waffle House--and I'm really glad I did. In all my years of traveling, this was hands down one of the friendliest experiences I've had. The customer service was outstanding, and my server went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It's rare to come across that level of genuine hospitality. My brother and I stopped in while we're on a roadtrip. Our server was friendly. He kept our water and coffee filled up. I had the 2 egg breakfast with bacon hashbrowns and toast . The meal was OK. Typical Waffle House Fare. I ordered my eggs over easy. When my breakfast arrived my server read my face and knew I was not 100% happy with the less than perfect eggs. Had I ordered over medium they would have been perfect. I didn't complain. I used to up until about 20 years ago. I was in a little restaurant in Edmund OK. My eggs came out over hard. I looked back in the kitchen there was a young man maybe 18 years old. I figured he didn't have the experience at cooking eggs over easy as I did. I was just happy that he was trying to earn a living instead of being out on the street doing drugs. From that day on I never sent eggs back to be fixed correctly. Getting back to Waffle House, the hashbrowns were OK and the wheat toast was good. My server said he'd knock something off the price of my breakfast. It ended up being $2.75 and gave me a couple coupons for free waffles. Over all not a terrible experience. The ambience was purdy much on par with other Waffle Houses I've been to across the country. This place was the chef's kiss! *mwuah!* We ate at a fancy breakfast place in Memphis yesterday, but it couldn't compare to the taste of the food we got this morning at the Waffle House! Of course we ended up going here because our hotel room across the street still isn't bothering to serve continental breakfast "due to COVID." (Oh the excuses!) I was a bit worried how busy it might be but we actually weren't kept waiting long for a table. It is a small establishment with a limited number of booths and/or bar-style seating, so I'd recommend avoiding peak hours of operation if you're in a rush. Our waitress was really friendly and stopped by multiple times to check in on us, refill our coffee, etc. The wait time for our meal to be prepared was short, and as I said, the food was damn delicious. Especially the waffle. It would have to be at the Waffle House! Bacon and hash browns were crispy, egg was cooked just right, and yummy cheese! The pricing is quite reasonable, especially for the portion size. I ended up taking half of mine back to the hotel room and I'll have it tomorrow before we hit the road anew! The bathrooms are single person and clean. The hand air dryer isn't loud!! We needed some breakfast... and our family decided on here. It's always fun, for the kids, to be able to sit at the bar and watch them make our food as we wait. We had waffles $4 each (one with chocolate chips on top, one with blueberry nougat, chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips - each topping $.50). We also had the Sausage, egg, cheese biscuit $2.75. And the Two Egg Breakfast & Bacon $7.25. All the food was good. But I wish we would have asked for the bacon and sausage to be a little less crispy/cooked. Otherwise, pretty good. To start with, this is probably the nicest and biggest Waffle House I've been to. If you had to wait on a table there would be room to do it. We stopped in for a late breakfast so it wasn't busy at all. The first thing we noticed was that the employees were so pleasant to us and to each other. It appeared that they really enjoy working there. The manager was helping and interacting, it was great. We ordered our usuals buckeye waffle, hashbrowns smothered and covered and Texas sandwich thing everything came out quickly and as expected. I'm from Michigan. On our way to Kings Island and decided to stop into this Waffle house for breakfast. I went in by myself to see if tables were available for our family of four. Tables were full except for one that needed cleaning. I walked in, waited for ten minutes and NO ONE asked me if I needed help or anything. I stood there and saw two waitresses look my way, with one mouthing something to the other one that ended with "waiting". It might not have helped that I was a BLACK female. Two white men in front of me had no problem sitting at the bar and getting their order taken. I walked out when a white family of four walked in. As I got into the car I noticed them getting led to the table that needed cleaning. Racist place that I will NEVER frequent again. The universe thinks it'll win by "auto refreshing" my webpage as I type this review, now, for the 5th time (I took pictures of the 4th attempt so I could rewrite everything again verbatim). Also, apparently "the powers the be" are doing the most by blocking/deketing my Google review, so I'm here on YELP. NOT TODAY SATAN!! NOPE!! I GOT TIME TODAY!! Alrighty... this morning I walked into the 24hr establishment and was the first/only customer in the building. The cook had sh*t everywhere... and I do mean EVERYWHERE!! He had things all over; dishes, utensils, rags, chemicals, hell...parts!! Then, after my order was taken, he says that it'll be another 5mins or so before he gets to cooking because he has to season the griddle. Now, all of this already should have sent up flags so red that they glow in the dark. But I pay my little $29 (cash) and wait. Fast forward--mt order is ready. I leave and get to work and get in position to devour this sammich (sandwich). I'm telling you, I was so hungry my mouth was READY READY!! Come to find out that the order is lacking. My cheesesteaks didn't have cheese nor the 2 fried eggs I wanted them to hatch over my food. I then sat there, stewing. I ultimately chose violence. So, I head back to Waffle House and I tell the cook what was missing and the way his body language came off, suggested that someone else was responsible for the screw up. It honestly made me want to palm his entire face on the countertop, HARD! I'm now repeating myself on wanting my refund while he is trying to negotiate these 2 eggs for this food that is no longer fresh. The head manager (I'm assuming) was in the back and unseen, refusing to come out initially. The cook went to him twice. The second time, the cook tells me (yet again) "I can make the couple eggs for you. It's going to take the same amount of time to get the refund. I can just make 'em." I looked at him with emphatic frustration and spoke no words. I simply shook my head. He then goes, "you sure?" I chuckle and close my eyes slowly and without speaking any words, I gave a nod. Joseph (the head mgr) FINALLY brings his a** out and is again, INSISTING I get a "partial refund" by giving me what was missed form my order. ~Newsflash~ WTF is a partial refund and THAT is not a refund of any kind at all. Now he's standing in front of this register clearly not knowing what to do. Blue's Clues couldn't save him. It was like a car wreck... unfortunate but you can't look away. I take this time to tell him that when a person is set on wanting their money back, it's irrelevant to continue to push stale food to keep the sale. I also told him that it was bullsh*t that he didn't come out sooner like he's being inconvenienced or something. And it didn't take long (as they stated before) to get my refund back. Another crew member had to process it because he didn't know how to. Like, at all. It was sad. I love me some Waffle House but yeah, I don't play when it comes to my kids, my time, hygiene, or MY FOOD!! The Waffle House by The Beach Waterpark in Kings Mills is going to have to take this 'L' (loss) today. I was highly disappointed and rightfully offended. I borderline feel disrespected. The young ladies working between 6:30am and 7am deserve all the praise and promotions with raises. Joseph and that cook can go wait in the damn car with the windows up on a 98-degree humid day. Awful experience. The food and MY service was great. But the cook (or manager it wasn't quite clear) kept yelling at the server who helped us (Makayla i think was her name). She was yelling really loudly and waffle house isn't that big of an establishment. Our server was visibly distressed and if this is a manager of the establishment, the entire crew needs to be rethought and that's coming from someone with years of service experience especially in the restaurant business. read more

This place is awful. We came here for a late morning breakfast on Saturday. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table. No problem. When one finally opened up, another couple (who came in after us) walked right up to it and the table quickly got cleaned for them while they stood and waited. This was annoying but we got over it because we saw another table opening up right after. When we got over to the table, we sat down because we had kids with us and patiently waited for someone to come clean it. No one sad a word to us or made eye contact, nothing whatsoever. We continued to sit there for 10 minutes and not one person said anything to us or cleaned the table. Meanwhile, some spots at the "bar" opened up and those were cleaned quickly for people after we had sat down. After we saw that we left. This place is also disgusting and dirty, with a broken dirty air vent right next to the tables you eat at. Sticky floors. Terrible staff. They need to have a better system of seating tables and have an actual bus boy or someone to help clean. Just don't come here, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. read more

I've been coming to this Waffle House since I was celebrating Friday night football wins in high school with a Mötley Crüe of delinquents. This Waffle House is literally the only Waffle House that I would ever eat at (drunk or sober) if I was in a 60mile radios. Less than mediocre experience. we went to start a "Christmas day" tradition. There was a wait, which is not a big deal. Their complimentary coffee while you wait had stained cups so we put that back. We finally get a table and the people behind us are talking in such an offending and derogatory manner that it just shows you the type of people who frequent Waffle House. One of the good ones, I'm in there at least once a week. Food is always fast, greasy and awesome. They have a couple of really good cooks. One of the best parts is listening to the one server yell and complain at everyone. She isn't the boss, but likes to bicker and try to order them around. It's beautiful and entertaining. Terrible, I pulled up & went inside to use the restroom & planed to get food (which I didn't). I walked in and was stared at as if no one never seen a black person come to this location. The workers didn't acknowledge me instead they continued talking to a group of people who were already there. The service is slow at 10 pm but they put love and care into their food. They, by accident or purpose, made my chili bowl quite Asian by putting a copious amount of jalapeño peppers and grilled onions when I requested them as toppings, and leftover caramelized bits from the grill (I appreciated it). Suddenly, a Waffle House chili bowl in Cincinnati reminded me of schoolkid fare in Singapore, no easy feat. Ordered Hashbrowns scattered, biscuits and gravy, and an order of bacon hold the weight around 5 a.m. The hash browns were not scattered rather good ring hashbrowns, but I like them scattered when getting a double order. Bill came out to be 8.17 and $10 after tip. The bacon was crispy, so also not what I ordered. Not awful, just the opposite of what I ordered. My wife and I recently started a 'tradition' of, every once in a while, taking a little motorcycle trip somewhere for breakfast. I thought I'd give you my opinion of the places we visit... I'm amazed at how different Waffle House's can be. This one was not what I would consider clean nor friendly. And I didn't realize that different Waffle House's could have different menus, either.
