Waffle House is one of those places where you have to set your expectations on the floor, almost underground. Expect nothing, and you won't be disappointed. This was probably one of the less clean Waffle Houses I've been to. They could definitely use a mop, a bucket, some disinfectant, and maybe a couple of hours closed for a little reset. That was definitely the biggest con. On the positive side, the hostess was friendly, and our server, Mike, was great. My sweet tea came in a dirty cup, so I sent it back and decided I just wouldn't have anything to drink. Thankfully, the food made up for it. Everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious. The waffle was fluffy, buttery, and so good. And of course, the prices are reasonable. You really can't beat Waffle House when you want an inexpensive breakfast. They accept cash and credit cards, and they also have tap to pay. There was plenty of parking, which is always a plus. And I have to laugh because my uncle always used to say, "If you go to Waffle House and it's clean, the food probably isn't going to be good." I've never been to a Waffle House and now I wonder what took me so long! Simple yet delicious and definitely a fun experience. My friends and I went with our kids. There were 8 of us and we gladly sat the kids at a booth while we sat closely at the bar stools. The food was amazing. Obviously comes out hot right off the grill, really cool that you can sit at the bar area and watch them cook. Their teamwork is almost like a show to watch! I am a former employee of this Waffle House. The district manager Owen Oree made inappropriate remarks to me on a daily basis. Times when I'd be in a small space, like in the office or standing at the register. Owen would stand behind me and rub a touch me while I could not turn around a walk away. other times he sat in the office for hours on his shift and consistently text me inappropriate messages while I was working and continue to do so hours after my shift. Before he'd leave he offer to take me home an I declined his offer every time because he made me feel very uncomfortable. We ordered waffles , eggs over easy, tomato juice, and coffee. The meal was horrible! The tomato juice was so watered down it only had a hint of taste of tomato ; the coffee was terrible; one of the two eggs over easy were broken and yoke was dried up, and the waffles were totally soggy ..... i could not eat them . the manager came over and asked if everything was ok . It was about midnight when we arrived and we were a party of about 25 people. There were 2-3 workers and about 2 more parties already there. So lots of people. I applaud the workers here because despite it being so packed, everything came out as we ordered it, everything came out at a reasonable pace, and everything was delicious. I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese Texas melt with hash browns and added jalapeño to them. The melt was ready good. The cheese was melted. The sausage was soft and meaty. The eggs were cooked to perfect. The toast was grilled perfectly. The hash browns were a bit crunchy in some parts but I didn't mind the different kinds of textures it had. Would highly recommend adding jalapeños (they weren't spicy, so don't worry!). If it's late, or early, and you're hungry, this is the place to go. The concept that I like about Waffle House is the open kitchen. It gives you more confidence your meal is being prepared in a sanitary way. read more

I say a 4.5 for my review because the food was filling. I got the all star special the waffle was yummy but was soft I did not like the hash browns the bacon was great. And the toast was good. The server was very kind and polite and the food was out very fast. There were a few flies though this might make some people not want to go but if you are planning to go for the first time you should still go. DIRTY! I slipped on the wet floor when I got off the counter seat. Brown water was pooled all over the floor. Terrible service. My request was acknowledged then promptly ignored. Staff was more interested in talking to the regulars that's paying attention to other customers. Food was served cold. The bacon was especially bad the manager cooked up one big pile ( was there when I arrived) and threw it on plates. She had not gotten through the same pile before I left. My order of bacon had white, congealed globs of fat all over them and was cold. The manager has lost control of the 'team.' There was no order or control as I be seen at other houses. Also, the air conditioning is terrible. It's 79 outside and close to that inside. I overghward a lot of customers complaining to the staff. We don't pass by a Waffle House often so decided to stop in. It was empty on the Thursday afternoon. The first thing we noticed was the place was pretty dirty and messy. The floor looked like it was mopped with a dirty mop, plates and cups weren't cleared from some tables and the tables were sticky. Ahh Waffle House - why can't you exist in NJ? It's so rare that I get to indulge in your buttery grits and fluffy waffles but I guess that just makes me appreciate the moments even more. I think it's been almost 10 years since my last Waffle House visit so when I spotted this one I knew we would be foregoing our hotel breakfast for a way more satisfying meal. We arrived around 9 on a Sunday and waiting about 15 minutes. The atmosphere was kind of hectic and by the time we left the wait had built up quite a bit. Three All Star Specials were ordered with varying egg, meat, and toast selections. I went over easy with raisin bread, grits, country ham, and how could I forget that beautiful waffle smothered in butter and syrup. Ohhhh lawdy it was the perfect reunion with a Waffle House classic. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the grits were creamy, and the ham was nicely smoky and salty. Our waitress Mandy was quite possibly the nicest waitress (and person) I have ever encountered and she was super attentive and thorough. Usually don't have an issue here, but this morning it was a bit different. All kids working, one talking about how he was going to "kill a customer", the other looked new and shy. The other was some young girl. The shy kid was our waiter and was super sweet. Our bill was only 27 bucks so I tipped 10, as we were walking out the girl yelled "yo she gave you a 10 dollar tip bro". I'm sorry but if I worked in a restaurant I wouldn't be screaming that as the customer is walking out. Food on the other hand, my boyfriend wanted no onions. The guys said back and forth at least 4 times "no onions", only for them to come with onions...I wanted jalapeños and ham added to my bowl, it ended up on my boyfriends hash browns.
