I am a former employee of this Waffle House. The district manager Owen Oree made inappropriate remarks to me on a daily basis. Times when I'd be in a small space, like in the office or standing at the register. Owen would stand behind me and rub a touch me while I could not turn around a walk away. other times he sat in the office for hours on his shift and consistently text me inappropriate messages while I was working and continue to do so hours after my shift. Before he'd leave he offer to take me home an I declined his offer every time because he made me feel very uncomfortable. There are LOTS of other woman at both Waffle House locations that Owen works at, that have experienced the same thing but are scared to report him as he threatens their jobs. read more

Great experience!!!! We love Waffle House, on our trip to PA for a track tournament! This Waffle House location was very calm compared to other locations I've been to. Matthew was our server, I highly recommend sitting in his area. He was polite, friendly, attentive and a pleasant to be served by. Big thank you to him!! The food was delicious!! We ordered The blueberry nougat waffle, a plain waffle also. The Texas chicken melt added grilled mushrooms + smothered hash browns! The all star breakfast with bacon, grits and raisin bread My husband had the Texas melt breakfast sandwich with bacon & sausage + smothered& covered hash browns. Spotless bathroom, excellent service, the coffee flows and the pecan waffle was delicious. I usually get the same thing at WH: pecan waffle, bacon, coffee. This was a very friendly team at this WH. We don't have these in NY so I wanted to come. This menu looked a bit different from the ones in Florida. I think it costs less! Very fresh and tasty. Who doesn't love Waffle House? You have to admire it for its tasty simplicity and dedication (open 24 hours). Sure, the booths are worn, and the grills look like they've been operating 24 hours nonstop (they have), but the staff is always friendly, the coffee is always hot, and the food is always made to order. My young son and I can eat here, with a TON of food, for under $20. My favorite? The carbs upon carbs in one meal. Mmm. This particular location is my local one, and the staff has always been very good to my son and me. He has a Waffle House paper hat, and they even gifted him a visor. He felt so special. Not sure how this happened, but I'm now a fan of Waffle House. Stumbled in at midnight on Halloween- it was loud, busy, full of obnoxious/intoxicated people in costume. If I were the cook, I'd have quit; If I were waiting tables, I'd have smacked someone. But instead, the staff delivered unbelievably yummy food- hot, fresh, & with a 1/2 smile. Ordered hash browns "all the way." Still dreaming about them. The texture was amazing and the cheese/chili/onions/gravy/jalapeños etc. sounds like it'd be too much. It was too much of a good thing, as I stuffed a double portion down my throat in record time. Had Pecan Waffle- it was a delight! Big, fluffy, with crumbled pecans over top. The food was served piping hot! I know fancy establishments that can't get that part right. Once in awhile u stumble across something where ur expectations are so low ur thrown back when it ends up delighting u. This was that. The menu is small, the surroundings a step below a diner, and the food nothing fancy, but I had a great meal, at a good price, at an hour when no one else was serving. read more

Our server was great, very nice and courteous and attentive. She was probably the highlight of this experience. The bathroom floor was extremely sticky that I could hear each footstep I made, felt like I was stepping on a fly trap. As for the food, this was the weakest steak I've ever encountered from Waffle House. Both in side and flavor, or lack there if I should say. Unfortunately the hash browns weren't evenly cooked through. The hash browns were supposed to be scattered yet the top was like a burnt sheet of hash downs with a soggy inside. The waffles were also inconsistent being that some were dark brown and others were light yellow. The eggs were the star of the meal. I must say they got that part right. Ultimately it wasn't the worst Waffle House experience and the waitress and staff overall were so nice that I can't fail to mention them. But the chefs definitely need to tighten up. read more

She was high high! Nodded twice !! Oh wait, let me share this highlight... My improperly made food came out on the appropriate sized plate. Once my food imperfection had to be fixed, she brought back Sandwich w/o condiment on a smaller plate. Sandwich was falling everywhere once I bit it. Once correction made w remaining item (hash browns), she brought them out overflowing on a small plate. I asked for 1 larger plate to combine food items and she told me to wait a second because she needed to figure out why I was asking. Baby Jesus Be the Fence !! That's only 1 of 3 stories I got!! First time for me at a Waffle House and it was an experience...a less than positive one. This place is small, and with COVID, it looks like they took seats out. This caused our wait to be significant as we had five people, and due to the size of the location, there is really nowhere for people to wait. This also causes another issue, as people ordering for pickup, or making pickups also have nowhere to wait. After finally being seated, our wait staff and ordering were fine. The menu was less extensive than I expected. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was good. This would have been fine except one member of our party, after returning from the bathroom, then informed us the guy cooking our food didn't wash his hands after using the bathroom. Yuck. As far as Waffle Houses go, this is a pretty good one. We visited on a Sunday around noon. Waited only a couple minutes for a table to be bussed. Booths are on the small side but that's pretty standard for the chain. Menu is limited and basic but the food is decent and fast. No french fries for kids, but our son discovered that hash browns are an acceptable replacement. Chocolate and peanut butter chips are sprinkled on top of the waffles, not cooked inside. Still the same flavor though so not a big deal. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean. Not spotless but we've seen worse at higher rated establishments. read more

I love Waffle House, but this one, at least when I was there at 2pm on a Sunday was a mess. I counted 8 people working but there were unbussed tables everywhere to the point that there were few places to even sit. There were only 5 customers. Part of the joy of WH is the way staff usually operates like a well-oiled machine. This one is different. Staff did plenty of loud talking among themselves but weren't very friendly to us. Staff dropping F-bombs in front of my 8 year old daughter. Staff not refilling coffee for me. Letting dirty dishes just SIT on tables while they talk!!! I finally had to ask the servers to stop talking about drug use directly in front of my daughter. I told them that it sounded like an adult conversation that kids didn't need to hear. Stopped here today on 9/16/23 for dinner while traveling through the area. The service was horrible and the food was even worse. It took almost 10 mins to just get our drink order in with only one other party in the building. I truly enjoy Waffle House food and always look forward to chili on my hash browns. Well this establishment didn't have any and the server appeared to care less. Once we had a chance to order our food. The food came pretty quick but literally looked horrible. My fiancée got a cheesesteak bowl. I never seen someone cook cheesesteak meat without shredding it up. It was hunk of greasy meat laid over lightly cooked potato's. This is the third time I've come to this waffle house first two times. Apparently I was too early and it was only takeout this time. They love me in the door. However, I said there for five minutes and no one took my order. No one brought me coffee no one did shit and there were seven people in there allegedly working, although if working means you have your cell phone in your hand the entire time then I guess they were working. I went with my family for the first time to WH on Dillerville Road, Lancaster. They were packed but we were seated within 15 minutes. Gloria was our waitress. Although she was very busy, she was extremely friendly. Our food came out very fast, orders were accurate despite the crowd. All of the food was delicious and very generous portions. Came in for breakfast 2 mornings in a row while in town for work both times around 8am. The first morning the place was super crowded with a few places at the bar top open but dirty. I could tell they were severely understaffed but still trying their best. I was sat not long later and made my order. Food came out super fast and staff was very friendly. Second morning the place was only half full but still understaffed. Great food both times but feel bad for staff having to work so hard for such ungrateful customers. My experience was great! I came with a party of 7 which I was scared about because 4 of them didn't speak English. Aymie was our waitress and she was amazing! My mom can't have caffeinated coffee only decaf and I made sure Aymie understood that and she was so careful to make sure that my mom kept getting decaf. My mom noticed how kind she was that she mentioned it to me. Aymie made sure we were okay and that our food was good countless times. Our experience was amazing just because of her. Thank you Aymie! Me a friend and my five children attended waffles house last night around 830-9pm the waitress was horrible not friendly at all. I had three orders of grilled cheese for my kids the cheese wasn't melted and was barely hot. my friend sandwich had one meat on one side and the bacon all over the place. I asked for hash to be served light and not super crunchy for kids hash was still crunchy. after I ordered initially I realized I forgot to order 2 scrambled eggs the cook was never told and the cashier was somewhere in the back of the store with another off the clock employee the cook had no idea what he was doing. a family of maybe ten walked in and they were told they had to leave and for what it's worth nothing was being done that they had to leave worse experience ever if someone with a more professional background was there I would have stated every concern but from the look of the cashier it would have lead to issues. for being open 24/7 that was a horrible experience the table behind me left before I was seated there plates were still sitting there after Ieft worse 60 bucks I ever spent Lobby needed to be cleaned as well next time I'll go to wendys next door !!! read more

After almost finishing up my food and ready for check, I looked to the side to see a african american young women asking for her check and the waiter told her "I'll give you the check when it's ready" but all she did was go move plates around making believe she was cleaning. I watched the whole thing and seen there was no need to keep her waiting for the check and honestly if that was me I'd walk right out no fucks given. Stopped in on Saturday August 29, 2020 and was overwhelmed (negatively) with the two staff and restaurant. The waitress (had absolutely FILTHY CLOTHES on) stated that every sale had to be cash (no problem). We ordered a waffle each, she was busy tending to another table but provided my glass of milk and husbands coffee. My glass of milk was in a dirty glass and I pointed this out, she mumbled something and POURED THE MILK INTO A STYROFOAM CUP!! seriously?? My husband said his coffee tasted like soap, the waitress said she would put on a new pot (never happened). The waitress didn't use ANY gloves, hand handled our waffles from the griddle and I observed her working on other plates of food. Food was good and service was good, neither were great, but the servers didn't seem to know what gluten was. There was a gluten allergic person in our party, and we made that very clear, and the server still came out with toast on the plate. The service was great. The food was about average for the Waffle House chain but hashbrowns "all the way" are a great value at $5 and change if you like all the toppings on one platter! I actually prefer this Waffle House over the other one by the outlet malls on the east side of Lancaster because this one isn't as busy, even on weekends. read more

Place is very dirty, starting from the dumpster filled parking lot. When you walk in the floor looks like it has never been cleaned. Tables are dirty also. Feel bad for the employees. At 0900 on Wednesday we arrived and the lot and restaurant was empty. Makes you wonder...but we went in anyway. By the time we left 30 minutes later there were about four tables occupied. I had the original waffle and it was as expected. Wife ordered the biscuit and gravy, and the gravy topping was minimal. The hash browns she ordered with jalapeno and melted cheese. It came with jalapeno and onions. We asked about the cheese and the cook said OK, but he thought we wanted onions and was that OK, and we said yes. They didn't charge for the extra ingredient (they charge for each thing added to hash browns). The waitress was talking to others and we learned it was her first day. The service was great. Friendly, charming and attentive staff. Ryan was the highlight of my day. I have never had a better server in any eatery. The chefs do a great job. The food tastes great and looks like the pictures, or better. The country gravy is to die for. Nothing about the service or taste calls for anything less than a round of applause.
