I love stopping at Waffle House when I can because the breakfast menu is fabulous. Plus, you can order it anytime which is even better. All the locations essentially look the same. Small booths, counter seating and a yellow sign outside. It's located in front of a shopping district right off the expressway in front of the Kroger, where I was headed. I stopped here on the way to my retreat because I needed something to eat badly. I dropped in and got my usual breakfast of two eggs over medium, cinnamon raisin toast with apple butter and hash browns with cheese on top. Food was excellent as always, and I got in and out in no time. The place wasn't too terribly busy on a Sunday morning when I was there. While my server wasn't my personal favorite, the food, price and experience is always right up my alley. Will obviously return in the future! read more

Holy Toledo! Heading home from Cedar Point and we stopped here. My husband and I lived down South for four years so this place is nostalgic for us. Getting out of my McD's / Panera breakfast rut, I mixed it up and stopped by Waffle House. I'd been to the Reynolds Road location about a dozen times over the years and this was my first trip to Holland. I was pleased to see WH finally added online ordering. The website lets you easily put in an order and they got it together fast. There were only a few people when I pulled up early in the morning... somebody leaving, somebody waiting and somebody eating at the counter. More workers than customers. I was a little sad to see omelettes were not on the takeout menu. Not sure if they still have them? That was literally my favorite omelette at any restaurant. The combination of fluffy eggs, grilled ham and processed cheese was simply magnificent. This time, I ordered the cheesesteak hashbrowns bowl topped with scrambled eggs and gravy. It was a huge portion and pretty tasty. The cheesesteak was gristle-free and everything was cooked to order. Every visit, I get a waffle for dessert. It's what the place is named after so you'd expect them to be good and it was. Light and sweet with the right amount of vanilla. Are they slightly smaller than they used to be Possibly a victim of covid-flation. A small criticism is online ordering tacks on a processing fee. I know only two other restaurants that do this, Taza and Schlotzsky's. Kind of annoying, not a deal breaker. The website also added tax, and there is no tax on takeout in Ohio, so my $3.00 tip ended up being $4.33 Tell corporate to work out the bugs. Takeout containers fit neatly on top of each other - please recycle. Overall, tasty grub worth a try. read more

What does Waffle House do? Waffle House gives you pretty good food, and they give it to you quickly, amiably, and inexpensively. The prices, like those at any other restaurant, have increased a little, but when you take into account the "comfort factor" associated with their food, the prices are still ridiculously low. Family of four, with kids under 10? 25 bucks max, and you leave satisfied. Yep. Waffle House gives you good, fast food. More importantly, they do this 24/7/365. Christmas? Yom Kippur? Eid? My first time here today! I just ordered the most basic of breakfasts - bacon and eggs! Crispy and over-medium. Service was fast and smooth. The food was GREAT - perfectly crisp bacon and nicely done eggs. Not a thing to complain about. But what I like most is despite being a little breakfast joint, the food line is handled like a fine upscale restaurant in NYC or LA. The wait-staff calls the orders out loud, not just a slip of paper on a spinner. The head chef then repeats the orders back and dives in. There were two chefs, one surely the head chef (the younger of the two) and he called out every single order as it came in, even when he had 6 plates going at once. He made waffles, flipped hash-browns, tended stuff for omelettes, worked the toaster - all from just the called out orders from the servers. He even called "Hello!" from the line whenever a new customer came in. Nice touch. I was really impressed. Sometimes, even a simple little restaurant like this Waffle House can perform the "art of cooking" just like any place Gordon Ramsay runs. Another day and another Waffle House. When you love breakfast, it is great to know it is available here 24-7. The Toledo/Holland location was clean in the dining room and the employees were friendly and attentive. I got a sausage and egg sandwich on Texas toast that was tasty and cooked just right. I love the way they do their hash browns and I got mine cooked to golden brown perfection. Speaking in their language, Waffleese, the potatoes were real, smothered with onions, chunked with ham, and diced with tomatoes. I wish everyone did their hash browns like Waffle House. The service was fast and efficient from order to check. The coffee was hot, fresh, and topped off multiple times. While this isn't five star dining, it is comfort food with consistency and good value. I have no reservations with recommending Waffle House to anyone. read more

When I sat down and my arm stuck to the table I should have known that things were bad. over cooked bacon and eggs and the chili must have been sitting in the steam well all day, it was thick and salty. Our waitress dint seem to care due to fact she was talking to another person at the counter about a new job she had. I love chain restaurants. The staff at this particular location is amazing! The food is pretty much the same at all Waffle House's, the the personalities of the staff makes this location stand out. They are always kind and out going. They remember their guests even after only one or two visits.
