    Waffle House, Hardeeville

I was awake this morning at 5:30 and not wanting to drive in the dark after seeing entirely too many deer on the side of the road. Waffle House for an hour for coffee and breakfast until the Sun started to rise. This morning, there was one waitress and the cook when I came in. The cook had a southern accent that was just about unintelligible to me. So it's going to be great! My coffee was served quickly and a few minutes later, I was digging in to a perfectly cooked hash brown bowl with ham and eggs and cheese. A lot of food on this plate and it was delicious. I have no complaints. This was a perfect Waffle House experience! [Review 20293 overall - 677 in Georgia - 1270 of 2023.]

Double hashbrowns, smothered, covered, cappeded, and peppered with two over easy eggs on top.

We were greeted when we arrived by all of the staff. We had prompt service, and all of the servers were smiling. The restraunt was clean and not too cold like some restaurants. Food came quickly and exactly as ordered.

From both myself & my husband- this was the best Waffle House we've ever been to! Super friendly staff - friendly to customers & to each other (which I don't see very often - speaks highly of those working there & management). Wish I could shout out by name our waitress- That's my fault - she was friendly, attentive, and even suggested a combo that we didn't see that combined the ala carte items we ordered, saving us a little moolah. Food came so fast & was perfect. Restaurant & restroom was clean (the waffle irons could use a scrub). May I suggest a "tip" jar for the line cooks?

So it's a three only because there were some issues with visible unclean areas. The employees were friendly and personable. Though one kept texting and even made a phone call while we were there. Time would be better spent cleaning I think. The food was hood except my husbands onions had gone sour. They also allow customers to walk in without a mask....not good. The workers were taking their masks off or not wearing them properly. There was a detective that came in and had no mask on. Sad really.

Horrible location dirty, took forever for them, to just to clean a table to sit. Eat before you travel here.

This is one of the worst WHs in the area. Service is just terrible. There are better choices either north or south.

The online menu photos looked incredible (though I still side-eye those famous PB&J wings--maybe next time!). We chose the Treylor Park Double Wide Diner for breakfast and were thrilled we did. Pro tip: Head there early on a Sunday morning! Alcohol can't be served until after 11 a.m., so the place is surprisingly quiet and easy to get into--no crowds or long waits. We were seated right away, and our server was incredibly friendly and attentive from start to finish. My husband went for The Chupacabra--a massive chimichanga-style breakfast burrito stuffed with eggs, sausage, onions, cheddar cheese, fresh pico de gallo, Sriracha, and chipotle crème fraîche, served with cheesy grits on the side. I ordered the Brunch Nachos, which sounded fun as an "appetizer"... big mistake (or the best kind of mistake!). It was a towering plate of waffle fries loaded with cheddar cheese, bacon, sausage gravy, fried chicken, and topped with sunny-side-up eggs. Both portions were enormous and absolutely delicious--we had to pace ourselves to make a dent in them! Everything tasted fantastic, with bold flavors and that perfect Southern comfort twist Treylor Park is known for. We're already planning to stop by again whenever we're near one of their locations--highly recommend for a fun, hearty breakfast!

Ordered the Roasted Turkey BLT (Roasted turkey, Applewood smoked bacon, spring mix, tomatoes,…read moregarlic aioli on brioche, served w/ waffle fries). Good but basic. Space is cute, especially if you can get sat next to a window to people watch. Service was slow the day we were there but I dont think it was the server's issue, I think it was the kitchen. Our server was very nice and apologetic about it but it was odd because the place wasnt even half full at the time. I dont know if i would come back to this location, but I would be open to trying the others that they have.

You can get there using backroads from 278 by taking Persimmon Street to Scott Way and navigating through the parking lots. While its listed as a diner, it look more like a 1950's Malt Shop. The service and food were excellent. Once you arrive, you fill out a ticket for the food you wish to order. The ticket is the size of a keypunch card or airline ticket. You put down what you want, your name and the table you're sitting at. They will bring out your food along with a packet of silverware. The condiments and paper towels are at the tables. This is a cash only restaurant. There's an ATM outside. I ordered the corned beef Reuben. The corned beef was very tender and the sandwich was a nice size for $11.99. Some of my party ordered the large breakfast sandwich and another ordered the grouper sandwich which I understand was very good and quite large. I didn't notice a juke box which was probably the only prop missing. They do play music in the background.

Excellent brunch meal on a Sunday afternoon!…read more This is an active farm with home grown veggies and chickens for eggs and more (maybe)? Because chick. Is certainly a star of the menu! It was for our meal - complete with chicken legs and chicken livers and chicken nuggets asking with some good sides including deviled eggs with homemade bacon bits. We also had Mac n cheese, broccoli casserole, tomato and cucumber salad and green beans. They have great hours including brunch until 3pm on Sundays - and they seat until 3pm, which we were grateful for, as we arrived just prior to 3pm. We called ahead to be sure this was acceptable and we were told with friendly, welcoming voices that as long as we were seated before 3pm, we were welcome - so here we are! Yum yum! Checkered red and white table cloths, chicken pens out back, the garden patch complete with scarecrows and a perimeter fence to help keep the critters out are all featured at the locale! There is plenty of hubbub about this place on the talking boards and review boards - and now we've added our two cents - which reminds me that the prices are really reasonable and the service was fantastic! The fried chicken was hot as a fire cracker - freshly made with a fantasist batter. The livers were outstanding and also served piping hot! All the veggies and casseroles were super and served at the perfect temp! The salad and beets were so tasty and they were served chilled and were perfect! Kitschy and clean - and not a bit of mean! We will be back!
