Fast and friendly service for an overnight stop on the way down to Florida. We had an omelet and the breakfast plate. Our server was friendly and prompt. Coffee was good- hot and smooth, I don't normally drink it plain black but this went down easy. The veggies inside the omelet were cooked and the cheese was melted nicely. I was awake this morning at 5:30 and not wanting to drive in the dark after seeing entirely too many deer on the side of the road. Waffle House for an hour for coffee and breakfast until the Sun started to rise. This morning, there was one waitress and the cook when I came in. The cook had a southern accent that was just about unintelligible to me. So it's going to be great! My coffee was served quickly and a few minutes later, I was digging in to a perfectly cooked hash brown bowl with ham and eggs and cheese. A lot of food on this plate and it was delicious. The waitress working tonight was mad at management and we had to listen to her bitch about how hard she works, how short-handed they are and how many hours she has to work. She repeatedly said that she would call in if she was going to be short -handed and she would have to work too hard. For about 10 minutes after we arrived, she or someone else was putting dishes away out of the dishwasher; banging them around so loud that she could have caused headaches or if you had one, you'd have to leave. After her rant, she walked around with a mad look on her face; trying to be real nice when I went up to pay my bill. The food was OK - I was glad to see that they had Junior/Senior meals, which is just smaller portions. Worst waffle house iv ever been to. Workers were lazy and didn't care. Food was cooked badly and the cleanliness was disgusting. I got the all star, the waffle was really undercooked, the sausage was undercooked and had bits of hard pieces in it that almost broke my tooth. I had ordered cheese scrambled eggs and when they brought me plain eggs i told them it was supposed to have cheese so i watched the lady cooking just grab the eggs off the plate with her hand that she had been touching everything with and put them back on the grill and put cheese on them and of course they were overcooked at that point but i was too grossed out to eat them. All the employees would go sit at a table and play on their phones and eat stuff when there wasn't anything to cook and some would just disappear to the back. Super friendly staff - friendly to customers & to each other (which I don't see very often - speaks highly of those working there & management). Wish I could shout out by name our waitress- That's my fault - she was friendly, attentive, and even suggested a combo that we didn't see that combined the ala carte items we ordered, saving us a little moolah. So it's a three only because there were some issues with visible unclean areas. The employees were friendly and personable. Though one kept texting and even made a phone call while we were there. Time would be better spent cleaning I think. The food was hood except my husbands onions had gone sour. They also allow customers to walk in without a mask....not good. It's your typical Waffle House, but when compared to others, this is a great one! Hubby and I had to drive up to South Carolina from Jacksonville to pick up his parents because their RV broke down. None of us had eaten breakfast, and that's what all four of us were craving. This Waffle House was a no-brainer. Our waitress was wonderful. She was cheerful and friendly. She got all four orders perfect. She kept all of our drinks and coffees filled. Exceptional service. The cook did an excellent job. We each ordered something different and each thing was cooked perfectly. I order over-medium eggs, and they get screwed up so often at most Waffle House restaurants and I'm constantly sending them back, but this cook nail the over-medium eggs. I was one happy camper! On our way home from Parris Island SC, my son was craving a real breakfast with real eggs, not the powdered kind served in boot camp. As soon as he said that, I saw the exit sign to this Waffle House and pulled in. What can I say? It's a WaHo. It was good. The coffee was hot and fresh, the food fixed to order, the waitress cheerful and bright, etc. We all had something different (son had the All Star, the biggest breakfast on the menu) and everything was correct. He especially wanted sunny-side up eggs (which can be iffy to cook) and the chef delivered picture-perfect, text-book eggs. If my camera battery hadn't run out, I would have taken pictures. LOL I love WaHos because you can get a big, excellent customizable breakfast for a low price and guess what? This place delivered. My son's first official breakfast in the real world as a US Marine was a hit. read more

Wow! All I can say is the reviews for this one pale in comparison to a Waffle House only a few miles further. Drive the extra miles. We had a group of 10 and took up 3 tables. When we got there no music was playing but they put music on the juke box that was very loud and made it hard to converse. The waitress was trying but obviously flustered. I got what I ordered but only after constantly being asked did you want meat with that(I did not). The food was cooked properly and was decent. But my check was issued as if I had ordered meat I think. It was double what it was supposed to be. I brought it to her attention and she corrected it but I had to provide all the info like the correct price. I don't know but I am guessing the one down the way would have been a better choice and worth the extra drive. Hard to give a Waffle House such a low score but this one earned it. read more

Walked in with the family to get a quick meal before we hit the road. We waited about 10 minutes before someone came to ask our order, but not even five minutes after we ordered, our food was hot and ready in front of us. Delicious hash browns, eggs, bacon, and of course the waffle! Could the place have been a little clean lower? Yes. Could our order have been taken a little sooner? Probably. The servers were arguing amongst themselves on who should clean while we are trying to sit down, one server was out on a smoke break the whole time we were there, and funny because you can smoke inside this waffle house and she was outside this whole time. One of the cooks you could actually see he took his job seriously to the point where he was the one who handed us our food because our server was clueless. This location does Not answer thier phones before 6 am! I travel along this route everyday to go to the hospital. I need a quick meal to pick up before my shift starts. I've called several days in a row no answer! As I pass to go to the next Waffle House closer to my job I see all the staff sitting in the window on thier phones. I understand slow down time but not answering the phone when it's clearly dead is just bad business! I wish I knew the local corporate office to tell they got real slackers on the morning shift! We were the only ones in here eating and three people were "working" or lack there of. We had to listen to cussing (every other word) I had to hear about a girl that is 18 and how none of her kids look like the "baby daddy". I had to hear about the cook quitting and moving to Colorado to make a good life in the pot business on the side and as a cook for $15 per hour. This Waffle House was particularly friendly with at least three of the employees welcoming us as we walked in the front door. Our server was exceptionally friendly and we believe his nickname was Red Dog. The food at Waffle House is predictably good for breakfast and we thoroughly enjoyed our hashbrowns, which I like to arrive extra crispy. Everything we ordered came out perfect and the bill was $16 for two of us and we definitely will need to eat on the road for at least another 4 hours! read more

My experience at this Waffle House is very different from my experiences at other locations. They weren't busy and it took about 20 minutes to take our drink order followed by another 15 to actually get drinks. The food order was another 10 minutes away. When it finally arrived 40 minutes later the order was completely wrong and nothing like we had ordered. The waitress argued that it was our order and that we clearly didn't know what we had ordered. I've been coming to Waffle House for years- I know what I ordered. They redid our order and the correct food arrived within 15 minutes. I was extremely disappointed that it took this long for food and drinks. As well, the staff didn't pay much attention to the patrons and mainly stood around yelling at each other about their personal problems at home instead of taking orders and refilling drinks. The entire experience was horrific. I'm not going to say that I won't be back, but I probably won't be back unless I hear that something has changed. read more

Date of service 6/21/2014. 12midnight, Traveling and Hungry. It was the only food place open. Poor customer service. Poor infection control practices. Had to tell the cook to put on gloves and wash hands. Tables dirty, floor dirty, workers dirty. The entire crew should be FIRED. The workers constantly on smoke breaks. This is the first Waffle House that I have been to with a smoking section. It is a shame it is next to a truck stop and the truckers have to be subjected to this type of service too.
