Update review- the food is just like every other WH, so no surprise there. What makes this location. Great is the staff. They CHEERFULLY greet you when they walk in, smile when they talk to you, and get the food to you quickly. They appear to honestly enjoy their jobs, and interact very well as a team. It's a pleaser coming to this location every time.

The greatest dynamic duo ever! Ms April with the customer service and Mr. Dsoles with the tastiest meals ever! Best Waffle House in town and highly recommend!

It's been many many many years (nearly 20) since I last ate at a Waffle House and after my recent visit, I know why.... The food doesn't seem to resemble the pics on the menu and the quality of it is equally as bad. The flavors were barely edible. The service was friendly, but awful otherwise, as he seemed to forget everything, including parts of the order and I never id get the glass of water I asked for 5+ times. I'm surprised to see o many people here on a Sunday morning, when they can grab ingredients cheaper at Giant (which is nearby) and go home and cook and have a better breakfast experience.

My mother had something from the Brunch menu, and I had the Corned Beef Sandwich thanks to the recommendation of our awesome waitress, Zoey. It did not disappoint, and I'm glad I listened. The corned beef was good, well-portioned, and a clean-to-eat sandwich that wasn't too heavy. Suffice it to say, the food and staff made it comfy and memorable. Zoey worked diligently and had the gift of gab in the best way. She knows how to get people to start talking and was attentive in the right way. She's a good waitress, and I have no doubt she'll make a good bartender.

Our hostess told us the owners had ordered and shipped from England. I enjoyed the Jägerschnitzel dinner, a hand-flattened pork loin fried and topped with traditional onion and mushroom gravy. Served with kraut, warm potato salad, and green beans. A German classic! This food tasted great and was cooked perfectly. I was very pleased to have found this place (through Yelp!) since I don't visit Fredericksburg often. I was also glad that my wife had no problem finding something to her liking, a Cali Turkey Burger. We would definitely frequent this place if we lived closer!

It has a great rustic feel with a multi-level bar back and high and low seating. Our waiter, James, was great. It was our first time and we made it right before happy hour ended and grabbed loaded tots and drinks. The tots were amazing and the drinks were fantastic. My wife grabbed the Newton Cosmo, which, while delicious, was too sweet for her, and James took it back and got her a mint julep instead for no charge. For dinner she had the Caesar wedge salad with a rare steak, I had the Ramsay Bolton burger. Both delicious and portions are incredible, especially for the price. Also asked James for a bourbon flight after dinner. He listened to what bourbons I had tried before and promptly recommended a flight and how to go about tasting it. We will definitely return and recommend Rebellion to all of our friends.

They had some seasonal drinks that we tried, which were good, but we really loved some of their staples like the rose quarts spritz and the London fog sour. The service was a little off the night we came in - timing issues with getting food out and lots of drama/comments between the staff. Nothing that was so off putting I wouldn't come back though! I think this would be a great stop if you're looking for somewhere before dinner or a light bite.

Their cocktail menu is full of fun holiday options, and the small plates menu offers plenty to choose from if you're hungry. I ordered the London Fog Sour, the classic crab dip, and the birria eggrolls. The London Fog Sour might honestly be one of my favorite cocktails I've had downtown--I loved it so much I ordered a second one. I'll be going back just for that drink. The crab dip was its usual reliable, delicious self, and the birria eggrolls were flavorful and packed with meat. Our server was fantastic and helped us decide which small plates to try. Overall, Harry's Sidecar is an excellent choice if you're looking for an intimate spot to enjoy happy hour, whether you're solo or with a group. I absolutely recommend giving it a try!

For a steakhouse, the prices are relatively reasonable but by nature it is a bit more expensive than average. The service has been consistently excellent and the staff are friendly. There is a nice bar and some seating in the bar area as well. In the cooler weather the bar area seating enjoys a well placed fireplace. I recommend the double black diamond martini. The steaks, chicken and salmon dishes I have had I enjoyed. I think the NY strip is my favorite and I like to get the port mushrooms and a baked potato as the sides. I tried the Tomahawk pork chop recently and it was delicious and a generous amount of food. Most steak places also know how to properly cook fish and the Salmon is always very good here. The three course meal deal is a good value if you are hungry and the dessert is a full size. It genuinely felt like there were some kind of air-conditioning issues happening, which already made sitting through dinner uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the service didn't make the experience any better. Our server, Diego, seemed annoyed from the very beginning. Maybe he was overworked or having a rough night, but he came across as unfriendly and irritated by fairly normal questions. We ordered a good variety for the table, including the deviled eggs, ranch onion rings, meatloaf, penne with steak, and chimichurri shrimp with mashed potatoes. When I asked whether the quinoa that came with a possible dish I was looking at, could be substituted for something else, Diego responded that it was "good for me" and that I should get it. That wasn't what I asked, and the response felt unnecessarily snarky. Then there was the margarita. Why are we putting regular table salt on the rim of a margarita? It may sound like a small detail, but at this price point and level of restaurant, the details matter. It just felt sloppy. The biggest issue, however, was my chimichurri shrimp. After cutting into one, I realized it was raw. Not slightly underdone. Raw. Eventually Diego came back around and I let him know. He took the plate away, but it took roughly another 30 minutes for the replacement shrimp to arrive. By that point, every single person I was dining with had finished their meal. I essentially sat there while my friends ate and then received my food after dinner was already over. What shocked me even more was that the meal wasn't comped. There was no meaningful attempt to make the situation right despite serving raw seafood and then taking another half hour to replace it. Mistakes happen in restaurants. Kitchens get backed up, servers have bad nights, and food occasionally needs to be remade. What separates a good restaurant from a disappointing one is how those mistakes are handled. Serving raw shrimp, leaving a guest without their meal while the rest of the table finishes, and then charging full price as though nothing happened is not good hospitality. Between the uncomfortable heat, dismissive service, questionable attention to detail, raw food, and the way the situation was ultimately handled, this completely put a damper on what was supposed to be a fun Friday night out with friends. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark in too many ways for me to overlook.

Our bartender/server was Lashone and she was funny, fast and friendly! She was pouring drinks for the ENTIRE restaurant and didn't miss a beat!! The breakfast menu is small but everything sounded fantastic. I chose the Steak Tacos; my husband chose the brie and bacon frittata (added by the chef since the quiche was sold out. Steak tacos were delicious (see pic). Menu said they had steak, cheesy scrambled eggs, tomato salsa, breakfast potatoes and cilantro. I didn't see or taste any potatoes, but the tacos were still delicious! I'd only recommend draining the salsa through a sieve because of the excess juice affecting the integrity of the tortilla. My husband's frittata was awful. The eggs were dry; he compared them to "eggs at the bottom of the warming tray at a cheap breakfast buffet." The chef also served a side salad alongside. My husband asked about subbing potatoes and Ms. Lashone made it happen. She was the star of our brunch: drinks were delicious, the conversational quips were quick and funny. She was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. 5 stars for her and my food; 1 for the frittata. I don't want to average it and tank the rating. We'll be back soon to see Lashone!
