There's one major hole, a gap of you will, out here in West Texas and the borderlands: we don't have Waffle House! I get it, it isn't really the market for it (we basically life in Mexico), but dang it is still technically Texas! Give us a dang Waffle House! As you've already discovered, it's a soar subject with a lot of us West Texans. So, suit and tie it sweats, any time I'm anywhere for more than 2 days that's has a Waffle House - we are going. This one did not disappoint. The staff was fast and friendly and polite. The food was great! The prices (as always) are on point. The place was clean and festive, decorated for the holidays. I especially appreciate that they were open and in good spirits. We came in at around 10pm on Christmas Eve. It sucks the ones working had to work that shift. But I'm glad they did, and made sure to tip a little extra for the holidays. Love me some waffle house

Waffle House off Exit 133 on I-95 South in Fredericksburg isn't just a pit stop--it's a pilgrimage. I rolled in around 7pm, bleary-eyed and soul-starved, and left spiritually fulfilled. The staff were fast, fearless, and kind of magical. The waffle was golden perfection, and the bacon egg and cheese sandwich hit harder than Andy's crippling student loan debt--which, unlike my bill here, doesn't come with free refills. Hashbrowns scattered, smothered, and covered tasted like redemption. With Waffle House by Hashi Senjoo playing faintly from the touch tunes I couldn't help but nod along to the gospel truth: "Waffle House is Ruth Chris to a ratchet bitch."

Late night craving for breakfast... of course, Waffle House is the place to go. Greeted upon walking in (around 9pm on a Thursday night). Only a few people at the bar. Sat in a booth. Kat, one of the servers, took our order promptly with a smile. Wenrich (hope I spelled it correctly), one of the cooks, whipped us up our "All-Star Special" breakfasts. Absolutely delicious! 5 stars for food, service, staff, and the overall experience. Thank you Kat and Wenrich for the hospitable experience!

I had stayed at a hotel nearby but didn't have morning breakfast anymore. As I got up late after late dinner party for business night before I wanted hot cooked breakfast as all fast food places were serving lunch food, Yelp comes handy to look for something to eat and hence found Waffle House as advertised and read that they have all day breakfast available along with lunch food. So here I am and ordered two eggs scrambled with buttered biscuits, hash browns for really for $4.75 cooked right in front of you. Ordered vitamins c orange juice one size see photo.. $2.59 so it was great value as place stated getting busy ..I sat right across on counter as tables were all occupied. People came in an stared ordering takeout etc so it took sometime before I got served food but it was really worth it.. waitpersons acted as also cashier order taking for takeout etc.. they have enough parking snd it's huge sign outdoor attracts you to location but it was difficult to navigate to the parking lot which was right there.. closed gas station in front gives feeling that this place might not be open .. Anyway Jiger's drives you to take chance and persistence to find the place ..

I was driving by on 95 and there was a huge slow down. So We took a diversion to kill some time while the traffic did used. It was in the afternoon and the place was quiet. Place was easy to locate. The area around the store wasn't very clean. Neither was the inside. The staff was nice though. I got a blueberry waffle and Ice tea. The place could use some clean up and improvements.

While visiting my aunt in Fredericksburg, we decided to stop by The Waffle House. I've heard people talk about Waffle House restaurants and was curious to see what it was like. We have some chicken and waffle restaurants in California so I wanted to have some kind of comparison between the two. There are multiple Waffle House locations throughout Virginia. This particular restaurant is located in the city of Fredericksburg. It's conveniently situated next to a hotel so it's a quick walk for patrons to enjoy a quick breakfast while staying in town. The parking situation can be a bit tricky since a majority of the parking in the back has been taken up by hotel guests. You might find a spot in the front of the lot as patrons leave the restaurant. This location is small and cozy. There's a counter for people who may be dining alone or you can opt to dine at a booth. The menu is straight forward consisting of waffles, eggs, bacon, and so on. The menu is typical of most southern diners, consisting of food that is cooked in butter and oil. That's the best way to add more flavor to your meal! I kept my meal simple! I wanted a waffle and hash browns! The hash browns were buttery in flavor and left a little residue on the plate. That's how you know that these potatoes were freshly cooked, not microwaved. The waffles were crisp, topped with a scoop of butter. I lathered my waffle up with butter and doused it in maple syrup. It was delicious! What I like about Waffle House is that it's a no frills breakfast location that serves good food. Our waitresses name was "Peanut" but I'm convinced that this was her nickname to go with the southern theme. Anyway, Peanut took good care of us while we ate our breakfast. I would definitely come back to this location when I'm in town visiting family.

Superfast service, yummy food and accurate!! I ordered my usual chicken sandwich but w bacon this go round and it was sooo good!! My hashbrowns were well done just the way I like it too !! My Hunny raved over his waffle and completely understandable. I mean, it IS called Waffle House right?? Lol

Supposedly 3 eggs (clearly it wasn't), hashbrowns, toast.

Our bartender/server was Lashone and she was funny, fast and friendly! She was pouring drinks for the ENTIRE restaurant and didn't miss a beat!! The breakfast menu is small but everything sounded fantastic. I chose the Steak Tacos; my husband chose the brie and bacon frittata (added by the chef since the quiche was sold out. Steak tacos were delicious (see pic). Menu said they had steak, cheesy scrambled eggs, tomato salsa, breakfast potatoes and cilantro. I didn't see or taste any potatoes, but the tacos were still delicious! I'd only recommend draining the salsa through a sieve because of the excess juice affecting the integrity of the tortilla. My husband's frittata was awful. The eggs were dry; he compared them to "eggs at the bottom of the warming tray at a cheap breakfast buffet." The chef also served a side salad alongside. My husband asked about subbing potatoes and Ms. Lashone made it happen. She was the star of our brunch: drinks were delicious, the conversational quips were quick and funny. She was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. 5 stars for her and my food; 1 for the frittata. I don't want to average it and tank the rating. We'll be back soon to see Lashone!

She made sure to let me know there were specials written on the wall in chalk. I ordered the Hawaiian pizza crepe, but instead of ham and bacon, how it's originally made, I had just pepperoni. I would have added onion, but I thought a $1 upcharge for onion was far too much, so i didn't add it on principle alone. The crepe came out pretty quickly! It was very good, my only "gripe" is that the cheese and pepperoni didn't get a lil burn to it, like a pizza would have. I love burnt cheese and a lil char on my pepperoni! My sweet crepe, I got apples, sweetened condensed milk, walnuts and whipped cream. This was also very good! Not too sweet, just sweet enough! The apples retain their heat a bit, though, and i burnt me mouth, but that's my own fault. I will definitely be coming back, probably alone again, as it's a rather tiny establishment. This is definitely a hidden gem in fxb!

Let's start with the avocado toast, as it was presented on a platter with two grain toasted topped with smashed avocado and your choice of eggs which in this case was medium over easy and it comes with your selected sides - masala's with balsamic. Everything was delicious but I prefer my eggs to have a slight crust around the whites. The next item was the Cuban sandwich which didn't come in your typical Cuban style pressed sandwich. This was more a settle and healthy approach using 2 slice sourdough, pork, ham, honey mustard and pickles. The flavor was there as a Cuban version but kinda of a unique way of presenting it. For dessert, I wanted to try the apple stuffed French toast but only order half which comes with 2 pieces instead of 4. On the menu, it stated it was stuffed but I only found 2 pieces of apple chunks so I wasn't able to taste the full effect. It was also garnished with fresh blueberries and a bottle of warm syrup. This company spreads and provides charity catering throughout the community with multiple outlets. Lexi was very patient as she explains how the menu works. I ordered 3 items: 1) Loaded baked potato 2) Fried fish 3) Chicken and waffles. I just wanted to taste the baked potato without any protein on top. I don't know what it was that had an off taste, maybe the butter. The potato itself was soft topped with cheese, green onions and a little bland. The chicken and waffle were tasty. The fried chicken wasn't as crispy as I would like it but it was well seasoned and the waffle was soft. There are so many options for your sides. So for the fried fish, the appearance looks delicious but it was very thin and dry. Even with the tartar sauce it was still dry. I was really looking forward to it. The sides I selected were fries and hope cakes (which are sweet corn bread). Their beverages are on point, I got their lemonade and sweet tea. Lexi was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant is only opened on Fridays-Sundays for regular business but since they do multiple catering events, they are open 7 days a week. They also offer Sunday brunch between the hours of 9a-3p which the entire dining room is open with mocktail and coffee station. There isn't a buffet during the brunch but a la carte off the menu.
