Been so long since I been to a wafflehouse. But felt like a new experience. And I'm glad we stopped here. They only 3 stars on yelp and I haven't went through the reviews as to why. But Chris the cook is a beast on the grill keeping things moving and got it tasting really good. I do not usually mess with Waffles. But the one I had was really good. Great team. Chris the Cook, but on this review, Chris is the grill master. You want to see multitasking. See Chris doing his thing when it's crowd. And the fun smiling Lisa was all over the place. Keeping the customers served. Don't know the other waitress name. But the 3 of them worked so well together. The Yelp stars don't go with my experience at this Wafflehouse. If you in the area. Having never been to a waffle house before my granddaughter and I decided to make this stop for lunch. The waitress was really nice and helpful explaining the menu. We decided to go with breakfast options and share a quite large waffle. The waffle was really good. I would highly recommend it. The eggs were a little bit runny despite being served once over. Food was OK. The bathroom was not especially clean, but the waitresses took good care of making sure the restaurant was clean, sweeping and wiping counters. A very nice attempt at a true southern waho. I've had the opportunity to work at many Waffle House locations in and around Atlanta and I can safely say that the Clark's summit location is a pretty close cry to an authentic Waffle House. I've eaten in here twice both at 2am and the quality of food and service is pretty okay. I always get my chicken melt has brown bowl double diced smothered and peppered with a scrambled egg and my bowls have been both a 6/10 and 7/10. Very impressed. read more

Stopped here on the way upstate with my boyfriend. He told me he never went to Waffle House...so clearly we had to go for breakfast! He got the hashbrown sausage bowl and added bacon. It had hashbrowns, eggs, cheese and sausage all mixed together with his side of bacon on top. Safe to say he enjoyed it! I had the two egg breakfast. It had eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. The Waffle House is definitely one of my favorite spots for breakfast. The restaurants are all the same and their formula is perfect. The restaurants are always big, bright and easily accessible from the main road. When you walk in to the restaurant, everyone says hello... Everyone. We were seated as soon as we walked in and greeted with menu and drink order. They have an extensive menu but I have always been there for breakfast. They have an easy to follow menu and everything can be added to your order. All prices are clearly listed. Today I had the hash-brown bowl with scrambled eggs, crumbled sausage and American cheese. Simple and delicious. The coffee was hot and a waitress was constantly checking for refills. Hash-browns were crispy, sausage was not greasy, scrambled eggs were tasty. Kudos to the teams at these restaurants and I will continue to come to the Waffle House whenever available. read more

It had been all too long since the last time between my recent visit to this Waffle House and another Waffle House in the chain. However, whenever my brother found one just outside my travelable area, i thought id go. Having been on 9/11, i thought it was a bit of a stretch to go, but i was eager to see it. But when i got to the store, i just felt this pain like something needs to change. This one is eagerly looking for employees (due to the yellow sign in the window) and those who work here maybe shouldn't be. Although the cups were clean, the cups were cracked. The young employee gave us the feeling like she didn't want to work there that day, although she never verbally expressed it. They had a roped off area of tables but for the 3 tables (including our table) that was definitely enough to suit us. Food was warm, but not fully cooked through. My brother's waffles weren't fully made amd you could taste the doughy appearance and given the employees appearance, we thought she'd go bonkers if we told her to make a new waffle. This was a mediocre size order. Three All star waffle special - waffle sets. My order - in particular - wasn't complicated at all - it was the waffle with syrup and a pat of butter - with eggs scrambled, bacon well done and home fries (no grits), and for for the bread they gave me alternate choices such as cinnamon raisin bread. The others were very similar to mine and I was sharing part of my order with another person at the table which increased the portions of both mine and another table-mate's portions of orders. What made the appearance was the waffle but the maple syrup and butter were in the style of (you put on). Was coming from out of state, so i wasn't told and didn't know much about this place outside of this location's address- and i had wished i had checked its Yelp page prior to leaving. read more

This Waffle House was on my long drive upstate about half way on the trip. On a cold, damp, windy day I needed some comfort food. It was about 5:00pm when I stopped for lunch/Dinner and the place was empty. Two young women were manning the store. One, the younger one high school age greeted me and I order coffee. Told her I needed a few min to make up my mind. I ordered a Egg-white omelette with bacon, onions & tomatoes, and a Pecan Waffle. I noticed the two young ladies going back and forth, confused. I asked them if there was a problem. Well, they told me they were not sure how much bacon to put into the omelette. If a full order or 1/2? I asked, how many pieces is 1/2? Two slices. And a Full? Three! I told them 1/2 should be enough, but if it was going to be so complicated to put the Full order and charge accordingly. I apologized to them for creating such a dilema. Lol! I'll make this as simple as I can. I've been to a Waffle House before, but it had been a while. During my recent business trip to the area, once I found out there was a Waffle House nearby, I knew I'd be there at least once. I wound up eating here three times in 36 hours. First time was breakfast for dinner. The All-Star special is perfect for such a thing. The pecan waffle I got with it is potentially addicting! I don't know how they do it. And I'm a sucker for shredded hash browns to begin with, so they had me there too. On top of it all, the waitresses at the counter were incredibly friendly and a lot of fun to talk to. I had no problems getting refills. I was hooked. Second time was breakfast the following morning. The waitresses remembered me and greeted me like a regular. Another waffle, some grits, and hash browns "all the way" later... and I became thankful that there isn't a Waffle House located within an hour of my Philadelphia home because I'm certain I would eat this every day and it would kill me. The third time was a late night excursion after my wedding gig that same day. I had a hankering for a quick bite, and decided to give a cheeseburger a try. I even loved the cheeseburger. Maybe it's not the best one out there, but that burger with a decent size side of the hash browns was only $4.50 and was a perfect greasy spoon type meal. Can't beat that price. I'm saying goodbye to this particular Waffle House because I doubt I'll be up this way again anytime soon. But I'll be sure to find another one sometime. read more

It's a Waffle House. It's breakfast for dinner. It's waffles. It's cheap. It's 24/7. Compared to other WH's, this one was pretty clean, including the bathrooms. Food was delivered quickly, and was pretty good. The main entertainment was the three girls running the shop- all HS, or just past- one was singing "Two Tickets to Paradise" through the entire visit...but she didn't remember the second line, so kept singing the same line over and over. Other conversations included picking noses. OK, so I know I shouldn't expect Garcon or Pierre with a french accent or Chef Ramsey to be behind the counter, but it was a little sophomoric but granted, the resturaunt was nearly empty, so it had that "almost at closing" feel, so maybe it was just cheap entertainment...and that it was! It tasted great tonight, after a long day of skiing at Elk...so I can't complain. It was good eats before heading down the Turnpike. read more

This location is very bad customer service it took them 15 minutes to seat me and my family and all the tables had plates on it like they didn't want to clean it to seat people. There was seven employees working at this location 5 was off them was playing on there phone and the cook and 1 waiter was doing everything. This was on 9/11/23 at around 2:30. This was my first... and last... visit to this waffle house. Our waffles were served close to10 minutes before the rest of our order (eggs, meat, sides, etc.) What do you do??? Used to be great! Been coming here for years. We sat with our 2 kids around 5:30 PM on a Sunday and got "be right there" 3 times over the course of 15 minutes by a very lackadaisical and immature waitress. There were 3 other tables aside from ours between herself and another taller waitress, so there was no excuse for us to be ignored for so long. The waitress was barely out of puberty and was not experienced enough to know to always ask customers for refills on drinks to get a better tip. My first stop at a WH ever. Friendly staff, and fairly clean. Everything as expected. Unexpected problems arose with the ordering of eggs over easy. They were completely undercooked, which is unusual for over easy. I had to track down the waitress (who was eating at the counter for some reason), and she was professional and nice. Two mins later I had "over medium" eggs that were cooked exactly the same as before, and were totally undercooked. When I say undercooked, I am not talking about runny yolks, folks. I left hungry and completely disgusted. As an aside: no butter to be found at a WH, which is a bummer. I don't prefer the vegetable oil based faux butter, and wish they had some available. read more

I've been to Waffle House locations all over the east coast. They are all essentially the same format. Diner style food cooked to order on a flat top grill that is within plain view of the entire restaurant. It's simple. It's greasy. It is what it is. And it absolutely baffles me that some of the negative reviewers would expect more. Have they never seen a flat top grill? A wiser man than me once said, "happiness can exist only in acceptance." One of my personal favorite touches at WH, and likely the main reason that I eat there, is that they will put jalapenos on ANYTHING. This was one of my worst experiences at a restaurant. The staff most had a issue of the color of our skin, because the service skills sucked. When we walked in they didn't even greet us. I had to give the staff a Stink eye to even talk to us. My husband had to call over one of the staff members to sit us. Then the server looked afraid to take our order.
