Re: Waffle House Number 46 Cartersville, Georgia Paul and Taz Fantastic Restaurant! We stopped by on a cold rainy Sunday morning and were pleasantly surprised with our dining experience. We were instantly greeted when we walked in, and we immediately found a nice table by the window. The music was good, not too loud and we enjoyed the genre that was on. Taz was our waitress, and she was the very best waitress we've met in a long time. Our food was terrific and we didn't have to ask or wait for refills on anything. Taz was very attentive and kind. We met Paul, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We have noticed him there before, always checking on the customers experiences and making sure the food is tasty. We thought he was a manager but he explained he'd been there since 1999. Hopefully management knows what a great team they have at this Waffle House! We've been to others - usually the music is blasting or the service isn't great, one time I waited 20 minutes for one waffle! (Different restaurant) There is a new menu and the prices seemed lower to us, all we can say is the food was delicious and the service fantastic! Fairly standard Waffle House visit! Greeted upon arrival, seated ourselves. The place was hoppin, but we managed to get a two seater and pulled over a high chair. Bathrooms were clean and had the option of paper towels or the hand dryers. My only gripe about WH is they never have changing tables in their bathrooms. Anyway, our server, her name was Betty, hand cleaned our high chair throughly-- and I mean throughly! She wiped that sucker down with bleach water, soapy water, straight water, then dried with a new towel and promptly got us drinks. I was like well, damn Betty, you're alright. Coffee was hot and, surprisingly, really good. It had a nice, bold taste to it. Food was fresh and came quickly. I got the two egg breakfast with hash browns and bacon. I didn't want the toast, so I asked for a third egg and Betty happily obliged. My husband always gets some crazy shit-- today it was like two double bacon grilled cheeses and a double order of hash browns... double covered. He also asked for a plate of pickles, which I'm not sure if they were more for him our or 17 month old daughter. Betty was also very happy to hand over those. Had lunch here on a Monday afternoon around 1:30. The place was a mess. Looks like the lunch crowd had just left, or something? After a little hassle, four of us found a booth that needed cleaning. Fine! It got cleaned up! My friends like BLTs, waffles and Waffle House food. and they are not too picky. I wanted Has Browns and they were really good. My Cheese Burger was ok when I covered it in mayo and salt and pepper! Have had better service elsewhere! read more

I have visited this location a few times; because, it's real close to workplace. I have to say the staff here are extremely welcoming and will have a great conversation with the customers. They're extremely friendly and the older female staff here tells you her lifetime stories which I don't mind listening to at all. They also received a 100 in their health & food inspections which is definitely a plus. The food here is also good so it's a winner winner chicken dinner. The chicken and egg biscuits here are exceptionally good and get more for your money. I like that I go early in the mornings and there are a lot of sittings available. The place is very clean and well lit! I'm glad I have found my go to breakfast place before heading to my workplace. I would also like to point out something's on the menu you should leave it in your memories like the chocolate waffles; because, as an adult a chocolate waffle will kick your behind. Due to nostalgia I have messed around and ordered some. Let me tell you I was having a hard time trying to stay awake at work. Don't get me wrong it was well worth it but lessons learned! read more

Why do people stop at the Waffle House? Because you can consistently walk in at any hour and get good food, at a fair price with friendly service. This location delivers all that and then some. The waitress team here is the bomb! This place is a Cheers situation (80s tv sitcom for the youngsters reading this review). Other than our group (visiting from out of town) the waitress staff called out to every customer by first name as they arrived or left! Obviously, they are providing great service on a regular basis if people are repeating that often. Sorry for missing out on meal pictures but everything looked and smelled so good we were halfway done before remembering. read more

8:30 PM on a Saturday night. My wife and I walk in for dinner. Three employees and just one lone customer. Not the familiar "Hello"... in fact... no one even looked up! We sat at a table ( still sticking from syrup) and still no acknowledgement. One cook was trying to make an omelette and apparently it didn't work out. The other cook was mad and slammed a refrigerator door. The third employee just stood there at the other end of the restaurant with her head down. Just odd... I got to wondering what we walked in on... should I slip them a note and ask if there's a robbery in progress to BLINK THREE TIMES? But no...After more than 5 minutes of absolutely nothing ... we quietly walked out. They stared at us as we drove away. Worst non-existent customer service ever! read more

This was a very lovely dining experience. Their customer service should be the standard for all businesses. From the waitress to the cook, it was exceptional. Very friendly and vibrant. We were visiting from Arizona for baseball. It had been 10 years since we ate at a Waffle House. If you've been to one, you know what to expect. We were met with a huge smile by Tracey who served our family. We were impressed by their service as they were exceptionally busy. The cook was impressive! The second time we went, they were busier!! Our waitress, Emily, was AMAZING! Not only did she take OUR order, she also took 4 other orders (one of which was a large to-go order), prepared them, AND cooked them, while making sure her customers were satisfied. The cook, Levi, was...the worst waffle house cook I have ever encountered. He got nearly EVERY order wrong, was very slow, could not prepare any orders right, and didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. The service was incredible! My daughter and I went here to eat at approximately 9:00pm. It was close to our hotel and we were hungry. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, and toast. She ordered one of the new bowls. BEST eggs & bacon I have had in a LONG time. I believe Donna was the name of the cook. It was so good we went back two nights later with my son. He agreed that it was best he had eaten in a long time. If we go back to the area, we'll go see Donna. She can make my eggs and bacon anytime! read more

Every visit I made to this location was great for three years. However, in the past six months, quality has fallen even as prices rose. The portions of most breakfast items are smaller than before, the chili is served cool to lukewarm, and the restaurant is overly cold, with servers admitting they set it low to make employees comfortable. Trust me, a sweater is required even in summertime. But the worst issue is the jukebox, which is turned up so loudly that it's necessary to shout to hear and be heard. The excellent staff is mostly gone now. Perhaps that's why things have changed. Please, WH corporate, take a look and make some improvements. read more

I love Waffle House. Had this been my first experience with Waffle House, I would never go back. This is not the location that my family and I frequent, but it was on the way to our destination. Food was good, waitress was a mess. She looked messy and was not in uniform, she had a slight attitude the entire time, which is NOT something I have ever experienced at a Waffle House. Then I get up to pay and my daughter asks her for a refill of chocolate milk while I'm paying. She doesn't even glance her way. Then I have to ask her for the refill. She walks away, comes back with a little bit in the cup and says "I only gave her a little because refills aren't free". Did I ask how much a refill is? No. I asked you for a refill. Don't give me a little in a cup and announce to the whole place that refills on chocolate milk aren't free. I asked for a refill not for you to upset my 4 year old. read more
